Chapter 6 - Medical fair... seriously???

I wake up and had meal in my room. I called Mia to meet me in the lobby after half an hour. I choosed my black formal skirt-suit with white shirt .I decided to let my hair free with easy curls and have a light makeup touch. I was in dilemma whether to choose light gloss or dead red lipstick . Finally I applied light gloss and move out towards lobby to meet Mia or I can say my ȧssistant.

Mia was dressed in grey formal suit and was ready with her soft copies in iPad.. To be very honest.. both seems like businesswomen instead of being in medical field. After sharing notorious glances we moved toward the central hall to attend the fair.

We were greeted by two young girls who asked for our ID and gives us entry passes. When we entered... I was not sure about being at right place. I asked Mia and she nodded that we are at right place. I thought it be a fair for discussing our achievements or cases but it was something else. The decorations, music , lightning and drinks resembles it like a party.

"What the hell is happening here"-I questioned from Mia. She was also clueless. Then I heard a familiar voice - "Doctors also deserve to celebrate their success Ms. Williams ". I turned around to have a look at the person it was Director Banner.

He continued - "Enjoy your time here ladies.. there is nothing to be bothered about.. just submit your soft copies to me.. I will hand them over.. and enjoy your stay here.. Anyway, Ms. Swan was looking for you both."

I was confused - "If you can hand over the data by yourself ,then what was the need of sending us here".

He laughed heartily, - "Because I want my girls to enjoy some time at NYC". and he left... leaving us dumbfound. It took us a moment to realize the situation. We were very joyous and start looking for Shellby. After gazing for a while we spot her with a man near the bar counter and headed toward her. I think he may be her would-be-fiance. She had mention us so many times about the decision of her parents. He looks handsome and classy. We headed toward her.

"Darlings you two are here.. I was looking for both of you"-Shellby took us in her embrace.and "meet Jasper Rivers...my fiance would be ".

"Ms. Jessica Williams and Ms. Mia Paul"-he shakes his hand -"I heard a lot about you both from her".

"Anyway what you guys are opt here for...isn't it supposed to be a medical fair"-Mia Inquired. Jasper answered -"River and Swan families are charity members for free health facilities for the needy. so we are here to represent our families. Sounds great to both Mia and me. She offered us to join them tonight at drinks for spending some quality time. Acting hesitantly we agreed. "We will play dare shots"-Mia suggested excitingly and we all agreed. After having drinks we roam here and there for a while and returned back to the hotel rooms.

I wondered how much we worked but all such efforts were not required.. this was not what I expected. But I was happy for having leisure time to spend with my besties. On the thought of playing dare shots I m kind of pissed off. Not because I m afraid of completing the dares but I'm afraid of the level of the vulgarity they took over the game to. I have one more bad thing I take the challenges very seriously.

I do remember during our school days they made me spank our principal resulting in my two day suspension. And there are so many other crazy things they made me do. I wish today's game may go civilized. I decided to have some rest before leaving.

After few hours I got shower...I decided to choose another color than black for the evening so I picked up garnet dress.. let my hair fall on left side of my neck.. and after little makeup I was ready to leave.
