Chapter 12 - Not again!?

I feel terrible pain in my abdomen and lower back. I feel like drawsing. I went to the washroom and then I realized that it is the first day of my periods,-"why God??.. why you made me a girl.. I hate you for these periods".These days are the worst days of my month. Mood swings, irritation, craving for food, aches and sometimes dizziness. offhhh!!! Worst to tolerate. I had a rough start today.

I drove to the hospital, without any reason an argument raised between Jia and me. Then I fought with a wardboy. I don't have any surgery to perform yet, so I visited my patients and had their check ups and updations. Mia came to me excitedly ,-"My new bf is so hot... his abs.. his this.. his that. " Blah*Blah*Blah*

"Can't you just shut your mouth, I'm bored by hearing these things from you for your every boyfriend.. For God's sake... be serious about your commitments and your relationships.. "-I confronted her and left for my office.

After few minutes,

I was just going through some reports when I heard a knock on my door. It was Mia, -"I just brought your period speacial favorite Indian spicy tea along with choco-chip cookies and some chocolates for you. " I realized how rude I was with her few minutes back and apologized her. But she understands me more than anyone.

I was enjoying my tea break when one wardboy comes, "Doctor Williams and Headnurse Paul , Director Banner is going to conduct a meeting after 20minutes, you both have to be there. "

"Now what? "- I whispered.We both headed toward conference room. I feel relaxed after seeing other staff members present there. We took our respective chairs and waited for the director to begin. Finally he start speaking, -" Dear colleagues, I m here to congratulate you all, because our hospital has got a new foundation which will help us to achieve number one position in the country and also we may help the needy, we can treat the poor for free. "

*Clapping *Clapping .

We were happy to hear this.

He continued, -'All the credit goes to Doctor Jessica Williams and head nurse Mia Paul, they had presented a very good report at medical fair, because of which we received this good news. Thanks to both of you for your efforts, SMCH is proud to have you". All faces turned toward us with appraisal.

Then he said, -"The chairperson of the foundation is throwing a ball for celebrating your success as well as for having a formal introduction. So, you all are invited. "

It was somewhat a good news for all of us. Party with colleagues is always a great fun. But when I raise up from my chair I feel dizzy.

I waited for few seconds and then left. I followed Mr. Banner, -"Mr. Banner".He stopped and turned to face me, -"Yes, Dr. Williams, How can I help you? ".

"Sir, I m actually not feeling well.. so, I might not be able to attend the ball, Sorry, I apologized for that".

"No worries doctor, take care of yourself ".

"Thank you sir".

I left early, I just want to lie on my bed. I came home, took a hot shower and snugged under my blanket to have a peaceful sleep.
