131 131 The Effects of Drinking

Amelia relaxed into his chest and closed her eyes. "I love it, but not nearly as much as I love you. Are you sure that you got enough to eat? I do not want you to be hungry just because I wasn't eating."

He kissed her head, still holding her and relaxing. "Do not worry about my stomach. I ate more than enough and I drank too much sake. Edward sure can drink a lot for a man that seems like he never touches it." He gently pulls her back and sits down on the bench that he found her on the last time they were here. "It feels like it was months ago since we last came here."

"It does… I'll be honest that I did not think that I would be coming back here. I am technically too weak to marry and no one that wouldn't understand would actually want me. Thank you for choosing me. I know that it is not the best choice to choose someone that will not last." Amelia sits down next to him and leans her head on his shoulder.

"You should know by now that I do not care about that kind of stuff. The most important thing is feelings and I know that my feelings for you will not change anytime soon. I have eyes for you and only for you." Turning Gabriel lifts her face up and kisses her on the lips. "I think I am becoming addicted to kissing you."

Amelia giggles and lifts her hand touching his cheek. She runs her hand down his cheek, "I do not mind, just as long as it is me that you are giving the kisses to. As long as I am alive I want to be the only one that you kiss."

"There will never be another that I will kiss willingly. You are the only one for me." He stares into her eyes and the love is all that can be seen. 'I will never take another. She is all that I have ever wanted in life.'

Amelia blushes and looks slightly over her shoulder. "I believe you. I know that you would never hurt me. Just like how you took care of the bruises that someone else left on my skin. In your eyes, I see that you love me, that you desire me, but I do not see anything that would make me uncomfortable. I trust you, Gabriel Saito."

"I think you understand how much your words mean to me." He pulls her into his embrace. "I trust you too, Amelia Suzuki. I will not let you leave my side anytime soon. We have to make plans on what we want to do. I guess since we are alone and no one is disturbing us now is a good time to discuss what you want to do."

"If my strength comes back I would like to try for a child, at the same time, I do not want to force you to wait." Amelia looks away blushing.

'How embarrassing. I hope that Gabriel will not think differently of me.' Slowly she turned and faced him, "I'm sorry for my assumption? The bedroom is a hard one as you have lived in the same room all your life."

"You brought up a valid point, Amelia. I will not judge you for it, but it tells me that you are eager to try it out. As for my room, I have been sort of using it as a painting room so it is quite messy. You remember the shrine I took you to? Sometimes I sleep there. It might be best to sleep in your room but you are welcome to see what my room looks like. This will give us something to do when we go home." He watched as she was still embarrassed but encouraged her anyways.

"I-I would like that. I have been in your study but I only grabbed a book and left. It is your area, not mine to be in." She lifts her hand and picks a flower petal off his shoulder.

"What is mine, is yours. I have many paintings hidden in my bedroom. I spent a lot of time painting my muse." Gabriel stands up and holds out his hand to Amelia.

She places her hand in his and lets him lead her back to the room. "Your muse? Is it someone that I know?" Curiosity hits her and she looks up at Gabriel waiting to see who he says is the girl.

"I will show you when we get home and you will understand why I am not saying her name. Think of it as a surprise. I want to get you home. The sun is starting to shine down and I worry that it will be hard on you." Gabriel and Amelia make it back to the room and the party is still in full swing between the parents.

"Mother, please stop Father from drinking any more. It can't be good to get drunk like this." Amelia gives her mother a pleading look, momentarily leaving the thoughts of the muse Gabriel uses in the back of her mind.

"Edward, that is enough. You are worrying our Daughter." Irene takes the bottle away and places it to the side.

"My... hic… baby giiiiirl... hic…. is all grown up!" Edward starts to cry a little and then hugs his wife. "Irene, what...hic... are weeeeee to do?"

"Irene, I do not think that this is a bad thing. So I am not concerned about how is reacting. Edward can have the rest of the weekend off and I will make sure that his pay is not docked. It is an emotional time for a child to be married. It is worse for those that have a daughter. I will take you both home in my carriage before I head back to work."

"Thank you, I appreciate it. He will need to rest this off and some special soup for when he wakes up." Irene bows slightly.

"No more formalities for you. Irene, we are basically already family. Did you have a good talk?" Edna looked at the couple that was in love with each other.

"It was lovely. The sakura blossoms rained over us. I am glad that we came and that the petals were still falling. I think that we have sorted out a lot and I know that I enjoyed myself." Amelia looked at Gabriel while blushing.

Staring back at her he bent over and kissed her cheek. "My affection is for you and you alone. Although my mother gets a little." He starts to pick the sakura blossoms out of her hair.

"Family love is different. I also love my family and I am growing attached to yours as well." Amelia feels a wave of dizziness hit her and she grabs the sleeve of Gabriel's yukata. The ro9om starts spinning before she blacks out.

Gabriel catches her easily and picks her up. He leaves the room and takes her to the carriage. "You pushed yourself too hard my dear. I get the feeling you should still stay home. He kisses the top of her head and once in the carriage he lays her down and places her head on his lap.

Miyuki watched in horror as Gabriel carried her out and rushed to open the carriage and once Amelia was seated she poked her head in. "What happened?"

"I think this is from her drinking some sake. She is sleeping soundly and we walked the garden after she drank some. She is not super pale like all the other times." Gabriel touched her cheeks smiling.

"Thank the goddess. Honestly, when I saw you coming out here I thought that it would be a lot worse but since it is nothing my panic has eased. Just how much did you let her drink?" Miyuki looks at the two.

"But a mouthful, one that I fed to her so that she could not have more than that. Lest I not be able to give her the necklace I bought where I finally spoke to her in person." Gabriel moved her hair aside and made sure that she looked like she was not suffering from an attack as she slept.
