143 Chapter 143: Had Parkers Been Cursed?

Khloe looked up at Taylor and said, "Kylie just told me that she still wants to be with Aiden. I'm afraid of what she's capable of…"

"I don't care what Kylie wants!" Taylor snapped. "She only has as much power over you as you give her. Find courage and get your house in order. If she finds a way to earn my son's heart or prick, it is because you failed to meet one of his needs!"

Khloe nodded. "I hear you," she replied. "From here, I will go and visit my father. No doubt, he will have some advice for me on how to cope with Kylie and keep my fiancé happy."

Lately, Taylor's husband, Matthew, had not been spending very much time at home. Obviously, she suspected that he was spending time with other women, so she hired a private investigator to see if he could figure out what he had been up to, but she was also investigating her own. Getting into the car outside the club, she asked the driver to take her in the direction of the mansion, but to park a few blocks away.

Around midnight, she saw a black car coming in her direction. As the headlights of the car went out, she recognized that Matthew's car was at once. As expected, Matthew got out of the car first. He looked like he was in a good mood. He fiddled with his hair, and then he pulled a woman out of the car. The woman was well-proportioned, her hair was wavy, and she leaned into Matthew's arms as soon as she got out.

Taylor was hiding behind a tree, and when she saw that, she almost cried out in surprise. The woman in her husband's arms looked like Kylie Finch. Although she could not see the front of the woman, she had just seen Kylie recently, and her beautiful curvy long hair was still fresh in her memory. Furthermore, the woman's back and height were very similar to Kylie's.

Taylor dug her nails into the tree trunk so hard that her nails almost broke. Had the Parkers been cursed? She wondered. Taylor stood outside the door, watching the light on the second floor as it turned on and then off. It was easy for her to imagine what they were up to.

Taylor's eyes blazed in anger. She immediately took out her cell phone to call Matthew. Pretending to be concerned, she asked him, "Matthew, aren't you going to go home tonight?"

"No, I'm not going home," Matthew replied. "Since my brother took over the company, many bridges have been burnt. I am too busy trying to figure out how we'll make ends meet."

"No matter how busy you are," Taylor said, "you need to take care of yourself. You are no longer as young as you used to be..."

Taylor bit her teeth as she spoke. In the background, she could hear the clip-clop of another woman's high heels.

"I'm fine," Mathew huffed as he hung up the phone on her.

Taylor was getting angrier and angrier as she walked back to the car. As she opened the door, she began to wrack her brain in order to get revenge on Kylie. This time, slapping her in the face would not be enough!

Back at Garcia Entertainment, Laurence was sitting in the office anxiously. The company was going through their most serious difficulty ever, so his hatred of Kylie was immense. He was brooding behind his desk when his phone rang. He looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Taylor. He took the call, and after they'd exchanged pleasantries, Taylor asked him if Kylie had any sisters.

"Taylor?" he replied, curious and confused. "What do you mean? Of course, she has. It's Khloe, your daughter. What is this about?"

"It is nothing," Taylor said. "I am just angry, so I guess that I am not thinking straight… I have been trying to think of a way to get revenge on Kylie when it suddenly occurred to me that the best way to get back at her would be to raise Khloe's popularity until it surpasses her sister's!"

Laurence sighed. "I am really worried about Khloe," he admitted. "If she marries Aiden, her popularity with never recover. His family is like a sinking boat. She should be jumping ship, not holding on…"

Taylor frowned. "I don't know much about things in showbiz," she continued, but I have got a friend, David Ham, who works at a television station. Maybe he can help you out. I'll give you his number so that you contact him. By all means, we have to restore Khloe's reputation."

Laurence: "Thanks, Taylor. I promise you that Khloe will win this year's Oscars!"

Taylor gave Laurence the number, and as soon as he received it, he could not wait to call. He was familiar with David Ham. He was a famous variety show director.

After Laurence spoke with David and explained the situation with both of his daughters, David said, "They're both your daughters. Don't you think that you've gone a little too far; to shower praise on one while rejecting the other? Don't you think that if you tried a gentler hand, perhaps showed her a little love and respect, that you might be able to win her over to your way of thinking?"

"But, Khloe is to be the future wife of Aiden," Laurence sighed. "You see," he continued," it is primarily Khloe who I called to talk to you about. If I can promote her successfully, all will be well.

"Have you ever heard of the classic ads?" David asked casually, "At first there was only one dairy company in the country, and it was really famous, while other smaller factories were just started. Can you guess how they advertised their companies?"

"I have no idea," Laurence replied perplexed.

David: "The small factories proactively promoted the bigger company, and pushed the big company into the forefront of the industry. By bringing the bigger company to the forefront of people's minds, they brought the industry to the forefront of people's minds, and it only took the smaller companies to do one little thing for them to achieve their goals."

"Oh?" Laurence replied, "What is that little thing?"

David: "They marked the name of their own company above every advertisement they produced for the big company. For example, one might read Gad presents Glick."
