326 Chapter 326: Don’t Die

A woman wearing a baseball cap along with a big mask flashed out.

"Fannie, thanks!" The woman glanced at Nate.

Fannie slightly threw her hair, pretending to be relaxed and cool. "Although I don't know why you're doing this, I have an instinct that you'll never betray Lord Ethan."

Fannie went back to Nate's side, and let him lie asleep on her laps. She reached out her hands into his hair, rubbing with affection and said in a low voice, "If there is a misunderstanding between us one day in the future, will you trust me under any conditions like Lord Ethan trust Kylie?"

Nate rolled his back and naturally hugged Fannie's waist, pressing his head to her soft stomach.

His warm breath almost made Fannie cry.

In the intensive care unit.

Kylie took off her baseball cap and big mask. The man was right before her, but she didn't dare take a step forward.

He looked quite pale, like a piece of white paper under the incandescent lamps on the roof. There was a thin layer of gas in the oxygen mask on his face, and the ventilator moved up and down in a regular pattern.

A few hours ago, the man had been so domineering in front of her, but now he was like a broken machine which didn't show any sign of life.

Kylie didn't know whether it was telepathy.

Once she walked inside, the man's heart rate started to rise on display.

Kylie felt her legs were so heavy that it took her a long time and great effort to step to the patient's bed.

"Ethan," Kylie called him lightly.

She hadn't called the man's name for a long time and burst into tears at once.

Kylie caught the man's hand, gently touching each of his fingers.

"You said you're going to marry me, and you can't die before that." Kylie lowered her upper body, smoothing the man's hair on his forehead. "Can you hear me? Don't die!"

All of a sudden, the man's heart rate rose rapidly, and his fingers slightly moved in Kylie's hands.

Kylie rounded her eyes in shock, but the man still seemed in a deep sleep.

"I'm so stupid that I almost believe you're awake now," Kylie sighed. She raised the back of his hand to her mouth, being cautious not to touch the needle.

"The doctor said tonight is the most dangerous period. No matter what, you must stay strong and alive!" Kylie said with determination. "If you dare die, I'll marry Stephen right now!"

The man's fingers moved again in her hands.

This time, Kylie felt it clearly.

However, when she stared straight at the man's hand, it didn't move at all.

"Did his fingers move just then?" Kylie said to herself.

She put Ethan's hand down with great care, then covered it with a quilt. After that, she moved a chair over and sat by the bedhead.

With her two elbows resting on the knees, Kylie bent, covering her jaw in her palms looking at Ethan's face.

"Ethan, do you know how bold you are?" Kylie added. "You climbed to the window to save me last time in the hotel, and you even dared climb to the window of Empire Hotel again this time!"

"Didn't you fear that you could fall from the high air?" Saying that Kylie reached out her hand to the man's jaw, rubbing his stubble. "You're such a naughty boy! Couldn't you take good care of yourself when I'm not by your side? What if..." Kylie suddenly stopped, slowly looking down in surprise.

At short notice, there was a man's hand laid on her waist with an infusion tube swaying around.

The next second, she looked at Ethan's face at once.

The man was looking at her with a loving smile on his lips.

Kylie immediately approached him, saying in happiness with tears, "Why didn't you tell me you're already awake!"

The man's lips were moving, but she couldn't hear anything.

Kylie carefully removed the oxygen mask away from the man's face, and she was able to hear his hoarse voice now. "You're so noisy, and I can't fall asleep..."

"Ethan, you wretch!" She raised her fist to punch him but just lightly touched the quilt when it fell down the man's body. "When did you wake up?"

"You-you said you'd marry S-Stephen."

Knowing that, Kylie laughed. If a rival in love was so influential, she could simply let Stephen say something aggressive in the patient room by his ears, and the man could probably be awake earlier on.

Ethan slowly caught Kylie's hand, but Kylie frowned in worries. "Don't move. You're still under infusion."

However, the man held her hand tightly remaining adamant, like she would disappear in a second if he lost his hand.

"Come over," the man said lightly.

Kylie moved the chair ahead.

"Nearer."

Kylie wore a resigned smile, then directly squatted by the bedside. "What, are you going to say some last words?" She tried to amuse him, but the man stared at her with seriousness. "Why?"

Kylie understood he was asking why she suddenly changed her attitude, but she honestly didn't know the reason herself.

"I'm not sure yet. My brain used to ache once I heard your name, and I would feel upset once I saw you, but the symptoms all disappeared after you were hit by the car."

Ethan thought for a while and seemed displeased. "You must have been hypnotized." "Hypnotized?" It dawned on Kylie that Stephen had done something strange to her back in the clinic.

She doubted it, because Star had always been nice to her, and she couldn't understand why he would do that to her.

Does he just want to keep me by his side? Kylie thought to herself.

At this time, Kylie felt her hand squeezed once, so she looked up to him.

"Don't leave me!"

Kylie smiled and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry. I must go back and find out the reason why he did that to me."

A Lamborghini made a quick U-turn on the road, then sped up straight to a 24-hour bar.

"A dozen bottled beers!" Stephen went inside and sat at a corner.

His phone was still grabbed in his hand, and he seemed struggling.

When the beers were placed on the table, a bar girl walked to him as well. "Hey, isn't it boring to drink alone? Let me have some with you!"

"Leave me alone." The man even didn't bother to raise his head.

"Don't be shy..."

"Fuck off!" The man raised his voice. The bar girl snorted with disdain, then moved to the next table to promote alcohol.

Stephen opened a bottle of beer, then drank it up at a time. When he just reached out his hand to take the next bottle, a woman's hand stopped his.

"I told you to disappear!" Stephen was furious, raising his head, but he was slightly surprised when he saw the woman's face.
