332 Chapter 332: You Must Be Insane

Kylie's smile froze on her face. She lightly pressed her pocket. "We'll be right in the next room. Let us know when you're done."

Michael stared at her eyes for a moment, then swayed his hand, telling them to leave.

When the door was closed behind their backs, Kylie and Ken have a long breath out at the same time. Ken showed her a hand gesture telling her to follow him in silence.

Afterward, the two walked through the passage into a smaller private room.

"This private room and the one where Michael stays are back to back, so we can hear the sound from its inside," Ken said, then sat on the sofa.

Kylie poured a glass of water. When she was about to drink it, she placed it on the table. "What does he want you to help him?"

"Nothing to do with you." Ken wouldn't tell her but played his phone with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

"You're no match for Ethan," Kylie sat next to him. Ken was struck dumb for a second, then gave her a side glance with a smile on his face. "I heard you've spent a lot of time with Stephen recently. What? Do you still care about Ethan?"

Kylie turned her body with her back facing Ken. "If you don't allow me to mind your business, then you should stay away from mine." Ken frowned. It was still hard for him to leave Kylie alone.

Whoever fell in love first, he or she lost the game. In the end, Ken told Kylie everything. "So, tell me now, why did you leave Ethan?" Ken asked afterward.

"Well, I'm just tired of him," Kylie replied.

"Ha-ha, ha-ha," Ken laughed. "It's impossible. Don't lie to me."

Kylie remained silent for a while, then turned around to look at Ken. "I want to help Michael behave against Ethan."

Ken raised his hand to touch her forehead. "You must be insane!"

"If he turns to someone else, we can't do anything. But if it's me, at least I can stop him or secretly help Ethan."

Ken looked at Kylie like she was a psychiatric patient. "Do you think it's acting? Don't you know what Michael has done? Didn't he just warn you not to play smart with him?"

"I must have a try." Kylie seemed determined.

***

It was already evening when Kylie went back to the Empire Hotel.

The housekeeper was displeased to see Kylie came back alone without Stephen.

Dinah was watching TV leaning against the sofa. Seeing the housekeeper being annoyed, she teased, "Where is Stephen? Did you sell him?"

"No, we met Faith when we were shopping. Star let us, two women, shop together, and he went to the clinic." Kylie put a pile of shopping bags on the sofa. "Come on, have a look. I can send you one piece if you like."

Dinah was cheered up at once. "Just one piece? I thought we're good friends!"

"Fine, take as many as you want," Kylie said, then walked to the kitchen for dinner.

"Do I have to drink it?" Kylie just gave it a glass, then began to swallow food.

"Lord Stephen's order, and you must drink a glass every day." The housekeeper's face was expressionless. He stood right by her side. It seemed he wouldn't walk away if she didn't drink it.

Kylie then took the glass of milk and drank it up at a time.

When she just placed the glass back to the table, she felt she was growing unconscious and was alert.

There must be something wrong with this glass of milk!

Kylie started to lose her reason, but she secretly pinched herself with her fingernails.

She did her best to keep her mind clear.

In fact, hypnosis could only be carried out when people weren't prepared. Once the hypnotized person was resistant or highly nervous, it was difficult to hypnotize him or her.

The housekeeper didn't know Kylie already found out this secret, so he approached Kylie's ears and said in a low voice, "You love Star so much that you want to spend every second with him. You want his parents to be happy. You want to work in his family business."

Kylie's heart was beating fast. She didn't expect the person who hypnotized her was the housekeeper!

What he had just said by her ears controlled her mind, so she repeated his sentences like a robot.

"I love Star so much that I want to spend every second with him. I want his parents to be happy. I want to work in his family business."

After that, the housekeeper lifted the empty glass before her. "You'll never betray Star."

"I'll never betray Star."

"If you betray Star, you'll use a sharp knife to stab your body through."

"If I betray Star, I'll use a sharp knife to stab my body through."

When Kylie finished the last word, the housekeeper suddenly loosened his hand, and the glass fell down on the floor.

Kylie was woken up at once. There was a dense layer of sweat around her back, and her heart was in her throat again. Luckily, she was still able to keep calm. "Did I just break another glass?"

"It's fine. I'll clean it up." Dinah heard the crisp sound, then ran to them in a hurry.

Seeing the housekeeper cleaning the floor, she looked to Kylie with worries.

"Kylie, are you alright?" "I'm fine." Kylie winked at Dinah.

Dinah immediately understood it. "Kylie, come and help me choose one piece. I think the clothes are all beautiful!"

"They're all yours if you like them," Kylie said, following Dinah walking out of the dining hall.

They stepped back to Dinah's room with the pile of shopping bags in their hands later. Kylie then told Dinah what she just had experienced.

She opened her palm, and there was a deep red wound.

"It seems I have to pinch myself often in the future." Kylie was still terrified. "Now, I find out the reason why I suddenly lost control of myself."

"Why?" Dinah was confused.

Kylie curled up on the bed with her chin resting on her knees. She thought for a while before she opened her mouth.

"The housekeeper just said by my ears, 'If you betray Star, you'll use a sharp knife to stab your body through."

"When I met Ethan that day, my heart felt something for Ethan, so the spell came into effect. I lost control of myself, and walked through the road among traffic, trying to kill myself."

"However, Ethan suddenly dashed to me and saved my life while he was hit by the car." Kylie raised her head, looking at Dinah with uncertainty. "When the housekeeper woke me up just then, he broke a glass. And when Ethan was caught by the car accident, the car windshield was broken too."

"Oh! I get it!" Dinah said in shock. "The sound of breaking glass is the key to wake you up from hypnosis!"

"I'm not sure yet, but it's the only explanation now."

Dinah suddenly smiled, "Well, I think Ethan is blessed by misfortune, and you two are meant to be together."

"How's he today?" Kylie hadn't seen Ethan for a whole day, and she was worried about him.

"Well..." Dinah stammered.

"What happened? Is his condition getting worse?"

Kylie stood up at once with a serious look on the face. "I must go to the hospital now!"

Dinah, instead, was amused and thought to herself. Go, Kylie, someone is waiting to punish you right now.
