344 Chapter 344: You’re So Smar

Those women who were in the cage noticed things were changing in a bad way, and stumbled out escaping away.

Michael didn't have time to catch them back, so he let them flee outside.

Ethan, instead, caught Kylie in his hands, walking out of the iron cage step by step.

"Step backward!" Ethan raised his voice.

"Dad, it isn't easy to catch him. You can't let him escape!" Kylie almost cried, twisting her body to resist Ethan's control. "Let me tell you, Michael, and I haven't done the DNA test yet. It's possible that we aren't a father and daughter. It's useless even though you catch me as a hostage!"

"Shut your mouth!" Ethan raised his arm, hitting Kylie's back with his elbow, and Kylie moaned in pain.

Michael frowned.

In fact, it was all because of his boss's help behind the scene that he could catch Ethan this time.

If he let Ethan go, he couldn't face his boss. However, he was unwilling to see his daughter killed right before his eyes.

"Ethan, even if you can walk out of this warehouse, you can't escape away!" Michael snorted. "You didn't expect I would make the deal here, right?"

"The most dangerous place is also the safest place." He pointed to the outside. "They are settling the deal right at the outside. Once you appear, you'll be shot to death by countless guns. I think you better stay here and enjoy your time."

"I don't think so." Ethan caught Kylie in his hands, walking ahead. The cloth on Kylie's chest was already soaked in blood, and she seemed seriously injured.

"She's a celebrity. If she appears at the scene of drug dealing, her reputation and career will be ruined." Ethan pulled his lips and looked evil. "You know the press can easily ruin a star."

Michael hesitated. Although he just had met Kylie for a short time, she was loyal to him, and he felt the happiness of being a father for the first time.

The drug dealing at the outside would be over after ten minutes. As long as he could hold Ethan in the warehouse, Kylie would be safe when those drug dealers were gone.

Therefore, he said, "Ethan, why don't we make a deal? Let my daughter go, and I'll let you go."

"Let her go? I'll be killed." Saying that Ethan tightened his hand, and Kylie didn't dare move at all, because the sharp blade was pressed right on her neck.

Right at this moment, a round of gunshots sounded at the outside. Hearing that, Michael panicked within a second.

It wasn't uncommon that the two sides in a drug-dealing would fight against each other all of a sudden. Michael had taken the goods away without paying the money too.

If the two sides were fighting against each other now, Michael was worried the goods might be damaged, so he moved his head a little to the direction of the roller shutter.

His sidekicks immediately ran to it.

At the same time, Ethan hugged Kylie and rolled to a corner, protecting her under his body.

The door plate that was blown off fell on the man's back, and his body shook a little, but he stayed in the same posture.

"Are you alright?" He asked with concern.

Although he had cut her neck just to show Michael, the cut was real.

Kylie held Ethan's head in her palms and kissed him all of a sudden. She clasped his neck and wouldn't let him go.

Ethan was a little reluctant to kiss her at such a dangerous moment, but Kylie kissed him wildly to vent her worries.

After a long while, Ethan pressed her to his stomach, kissing her back.

When Kylie tasted the familiar lips, she burst into tears. "What should I do if you're injured or killed?"

Ethan wiped her tears off and kissed her again to cheer her up. "You just did a great job, but..." He approached Kylie's ears and said in a husky voice, "I'm more looking forward to seeing your performance in bed."

Kylie was amused and smiled with tear stains on her face.

The smoke hadn't completely dissipated, and a group of people rushed inside. The leading person was Dinah, who was wearing a bullet-proof vest. She glanced through the warehouse, but didn't see any familiar figures, so she shouted, "Ethan, Can you hear me?"

Clank! A can fell at Dinah's feet.

She raised her head, noticing the tall, strong man who was hugging Kylie in his arms at the corner.

Dinah wore a proud smile, then raked the bunch of desperadoes with gunfire.

There was no need to show sympathy for those criminals.

Ethan raised his hand to cover Kylie's eyes and let her lean against his chest. "Don't see it. It's not a film."

It was really killing.

He didn't want Kylie to see the violent, cruel picture.

Although she was mentally agile and calm in a dangerous situation, she was a girl, after all. She deserved a fairy tale, and she should believe there were more beautiful things in this world.

Kylie understood he wanted to protect her, so she turned back to hug his waist.

"Take a shower when we're home. I hate those women who have touched your body." She looked at Ethan.

The man snorted, "I thought you enjoyed watching it."

"I did it on purpose, so he wouldn't be alert." Kylie stood on her tiptoes to bite his jaw. "Tell me, did you get sexually excited just then?"

"I did." The second, the man said that he felt hurt at the jaw, and Kylie was glaring at him.

Ethan guided her hands, moving down to cover his asses. "I did when you touched me."

People were firing guns at the outside, but they enjoyed the peace at this corner.

The two stared at each other with their eyes filled with deep loved and a knowing smile on their faces.

About ten minutes later, fierce gunshots finally became quiet.

Dinah walked to their back, then had a cough.

Kylie heard her voice and turned around to look at her. "You're so smart. How did you decode my sentences on the phone?"

"Well, credit goes to Ken," Dinah said. "If he didn't tell us where he has forced you to catch a snake, we would never know what 'Snake' means."

"I think I'll have a second thought on Ken's shortened sentence," Ethan said in a low cold voice.

Kylie pouted, turning back to look at him. "Why? He helped us."

"I can rescue us, too," Ethan said.

"See!" Kylie raised her head. "My neck was cut because of you. Couldn't you let it go?"

"Are you defending Ken?" The man seemed displeased.

Dinah quietly pulled Kylie's clothes to tell her not to argue with Ethan.

Ethan was just a little jealous, and Kylie better not argue with him right now.
