359 Chapter 359: I’m Your Baby’s Father

A car stopped at the door of the Marriage License Bureau.

A middle-aged man beamed to welcome them. "Mrs. Cecil, how come you're here in person?"

"My son is absent, and I, of course, should come here," Agnes said, then shook her hand, and two bodyguards pulled Dinah out of the car by force.

"Be gentle! Don't hurt my grandson," Agnes snapped at them in a low voice.

"Yes, Mrs. Cecil." The two bodyguards loosened their hands at once, but Dinah tried to escape again.

Therefore, they could only catch her shoulders and let her struggle.

In fact, it was super easy for Dinah to beat down 20 bodyguards, let along just two, and escaped right away.

However, all she wanted now was the marriage license, so it was impossible that she would escape at this moment.

Seeing the scene, a senior official in the Marriage License Bureau felt it was so strange.

There were countless women who had tried everything to marry into a super-rich family in vain, but this girl cried and struggled not to connect with the Cecil family.

Probably ordinary people could never understand what the upper class in Seattle was doing.

Let alone the bridegroom was absent, he could still issue the marriage license even if the bride was absent too.

In an exclusive reception room, Dinah stayed alert and protected her belly, in case Agnes would hurt her.

"Tell me how old are you now?" Agnes asked with a smile.

"None of your business!" Dinah rolled her eyes.

"You should control your temper, or you'll be easily made when the baby is out." Agnes remained patient.

"I told you I wouldn't marry Stephen," Dinah insisted.

"As long as you can safely give birth to the baby, I can let you leave Stephen with a lot of money, too," Agnes said, "but the kid must stay with us."

"Why? This is my kid."

"Because the kid's family name is Cecil." It was rare to see Agnes being so patient and kind. "Dinah, do you think the kid will live a better life with you? I promise you can visit the kid whenever you want. Of course, I also hope you won't divorce Stephen."

Dinah was silent. It seemed she was thinking about it.

The senior official pushed the door open and said to Agnes, "Mrs. Cecil, I've already trimmed the photo you gave me well, and the bride can take a photo now."

Dinah seemed unwilling to do so but followed him walking out.

When she sat before the camera, she beamed.

The photographer was struck dumb for a second.

Doesn't she get married unwillingly? Why does she look so happy now?

Kylie continued to shop alone in the baby shop.

"Please pack up a pair of that shoes for me," Kylie said to a saleswoman.

Kylie suddenly felt this saleswoman who had a strong sense of justice was so cute, and she said with a smile, "But you haven't asked for my size yet?"

"What size do you wear?" The saleswoman gave her a perfunctory question.

"5.5."

"Sorry, out of stock."

"How about 6?" Kylie smiled.

"Out of stock too."

"And 5?"

"What's wrong with you? Don't you know the size of your shoes?" The saleswoman lost her patience.

Kylie giggled, then pushed her hat up a little to show her face. "You've mistaken us. We were just shooting."

The saleswoman was surprised, but soon recognized Kylie's face. "Ah! You're Kylie..."

Kylie shook her hand, telling the saleswoman to keep her voice low, then pulled the hat lower again.

"Wow, your acting is so good! And those people are good actors too. I thought it was real!" The saleswoman got excited at once because she was Kylie's fan. "I'm sorry, Kylie, I just... I'm your big fan!"

Kylie laughed. "Do those shoes come in size 5.5?"

"Of course, yes. Please wait a second." The saleswoman took out a shoebox and handed over a notebook to Kylie. "Um, would you mind leaving your signature here? I'll send you this pair of shoes as a gift."

Kylie took the notebook and signed her name on it, along with a line of a good wish. "You live on your salary, and I can't take it for free. I think I'll be a frequent customer of you."

"Well, then please let me help you pay the bill. I'm afraid it'll cause you trouble if others recognize you," the saleswoman said like she was Kylie's knight, which was quite different from her attitude just then.

Kylie liked this girl more. "That will be great. Thanks!"

The saleswoman came back soon and asked with doubt. "Do you buy this pair of flat shoes for yourself? I think female celebrities all wear high-heels all the time."

"We do when we need to walk down the red carpet, but I love wearing comfortable shoes in my daily life," Kylie said.

The saleswoman nodded and admired Kylie more.

Ethan, who hadn't seen Kylie last night, called her all of a sudden. "What are you doing now, Kylie?"

"Shopping for our baby," Kylie didn't say that until she walked away.

"I'll go with you."

"I can handle it alone."

"I'm our baby's father."

"Fine." Kylie gave up.

Half an hour later, Ethan appeared at the baby shop.

Once he showed up, he became the focus of people's attention.

Female customers stared at him, rubbing their bellies, dreaming that this perfect man was their babies' father.

Saleswomen fixed their eyes on him and wished they could marry this perfect man and have his baby.

That was the reason Kylie didn't want him to come here.

He was too stunning to be ignored.

Ethan glanced around when he walked in, then noticed Kylie sitting on a bench against the wall.

"Are you alright?" He took the bags from Kylie's hands at once.

Kylie took out a mask and helped Ethan put it on, in case this stunning man would attract too much attention. However, the moment Ethan put the mask on, he seemed more mysterious.

Without a better idea, Kylie removed his mask.

"Let them see you as they want. They probably will stop staring at you once they have enough," Kylie said to comfort herself.

Ethan's arm laid on her waist, and Kylie could hear women's discussion, which was full of jealousy and sadness behind her back.

She wore a proud smile and hugged Ethan's waist on her own initiative.

Since those women all felt disappointed, she would let them be in despair. This stunning man was hers, and would always be hers.

Seeing Kylie being so proud of him, the man wore a satisfied smile.

"Let's shop for clothes and a small bed for our baby," Ethan said in his husky voice.

Kylie smiled, looking at him. "How? We're not sure it's he or she yet."

"Easy, we can prepare clothes and beds for a boy and a girl at the same time."
