"Li-jie, I received a call from the police station. They say that Qi Xenjin wanted to see you. Will you go?"

Xu Jia Li was startled when she heard Shen Linqin's words. She was sitting on the sofa when Shen Linqin arrived. She didn't know why but she had the urge to meet her so she answered without hesitation, "I'll go now."

When Xu Jia Li arrived at the station, she was accompanied by Shen Linqin and Wang Guo. They entered at the back since a lot of reporters still waited outside, trying to get the latest news about Qi Xenjin. A week had passed but the news about her was still the talk of the town. It was as if the people didn't want to let go of the incident.

Since the news broke out, many fans wanted Qi Xenjin to rot in jail. The things she did were exposed and it made the netizens wondered about the way celebrities portrayed themselves as pure and untainted. They began to question themselves on how wrong they were about the entire ordeal about the entertainment industry.

Even the articles destroying Xu Jia Li that caused a huge ruckus were being paid attention, asking news publicists to be careful on the articles they posted. Qi Xenjin's schemes of putting a rift between Xu Jia Li and Meng Lulu made the netizens incensed.

Xu Jia Li walked regally inside and she was greeted by the officers waiting for her. She directly went to the room where she would meet Qi Xenjin. She sat on the chair designated for her while Wang Guo and Shen Linqin stood behind her.

"Li-jie, I hate this kind of place. I always get the creeps."

"Be quiet." Wang Guo reprimanded Shen Linqin as he observed the place. He was not allowed to let the young madam off his eyes. He couldn't afford making the devil mad.

Since they already infiltrated the enemies' camp, they were already in the light. He really admired how smart Xu Jia Li was. The couple worked so well that he knew that only the young madam could handle the devil well. It was no doubt that the couple was made for each other. He chuckled at the thought which made Shen Linqin pout.

"Why are you smiling, Assistant Wang?"

"Aherm, I-I'm not. Be quiet."

"Hmph! I clearly heard you laughing and even saw you smiling. Hmph!"

Wang Guo clucked his tongue as he fixed his lapel, disregarding the odd look given by Shen Linqin. He was about to scold the latter when he saw the two officers leading Qi Xenjin inside the room. He immediately put his defense as he stood closer to Xu Jia Li.

"It's okay, Assistant Wang. You may go outside with Linqin."

"But young madam –"

"It's okay. I need to talk to her alone."

Xu Jia Li observed the woman in front of her. Qi Xenjin remained quiet as she looked down, fidgeting with her fingers under the table.

"Miss Qi, I don't have all day to talk to you. Don't waste my time."

Qi Xenjin lifted her head up, smiled crookedly before she laughed like a crazy woman. It was creepy but the laugh and smile were shallow. It didn't even bother Xu Jia Li. Even Qi Xenjin's words didn't affect her at all.

"Are you done, Miss Qi?"

"Ha Ha Ha! You are still so full of yourself, bitch! Ha ha ha!"

"I guess something just doesn't change, huh?" Xu Jia Li tilted her head as she smiled provocatively at Qi Xenjin, still apathetic of the woman's condition.

"You destroyed everything that I have. You know, I hate you so much. Each night all I wanted was to see you die, you despicable bitch!" Qi Xenjin shouted before she laughed even louder. Then slowly, she put her hand inside her shirt as if taking something.

Xu Jia Li raised her brow, knowing full well what Qi Xenjin was planning to do. She still wanted to know who was behind this woman, so she was giving her chances to redeem herself. But time and time again, Qi Xenjin proved her that there were things and people that wouldn't change, no matter the circumstances would be.

She curled her lips into a smile when Qi Xenjin took a small dagger out of her shirt and began shouting hysterically, "I will kill you! I have to kill you now!"

Xu Jia Li sneered as she waited for Qi Xenjin to deliver her blow. The dagger glint in the light as Qi Xenjin raised it up and aimed it towards Xu Jia Li.

"Just die! Please, just die!"

Xu Jia Li stood up fast before she kicked Qi Xenjin on the stomach with so much force. The dagger fell out of Qi Xenjin's hand as she grimaced in pain, "Aack!"

"Stop digging your own grave, Xenjin. Just repent and change," Xu Jia Li walked slowly before she picked up the small dagger on the cold floor, "It seems like someone's still helping you inside. Let's see, how well do you think you can hold on if I told you that your boyfriend has no power left in him to help you?"

Qi Xenjin bawled out as she glared at Xu Jia Li, "You caused all this!"

"I did?" Xu Jia Li laughed mockingly before she spoke, "I only responded to your schemes, Miss Qi. I can't let you trample on me, right? Miss Qi, I don't start things, I end them."

Xu Jia Li walked towards the door, leaving the crying and screaming Qi Xenjin on the floor. She turned the knob and stopped before she spoke without looking back at the pitiful woman, "I gave you too many chances, but you still did this. You're hopeless."
