Chapter 185 - Your Cousin's Boyfriend

Li Ren Xin stood up as he recalled his conversation with his granddaughter the other day. She had mentioned about introducing some people to him.

Because he had asked his granddaughter to send the invitation card to her project partners, Li Ren Xin had expected that his granddaughter will introduce to her partners from Zhang Group and NEXT Group.

But, looking at the way his granddaughter was holding the man's arms, Li Ren Xin doubted that his granddaughter was coming to introduce him to her business partners.

"Grandfather," Li Qin Yao broke the silence.

Li Ren Xin snapped out of his thought and coughed. "Yao Yao, you're here." He peeked at the door and asked, "Your mother is not coming with you?"

"Hmm," Li Qin Yao nodded slowly. "You know that my mother was not ready to meet the others."

Although her mother's relationship with her paternal grandparents had slightly improved after the encounter at the cemetery, her mother still did not change her mind to attend the wedding.

"Grandfather, grandmother, I'd like to introduce you to someone," Li Qin Yao tightened her grip on ZHang Yu Han's arms. "This is Zhang Yu Han, my boyfriend."

"Hello," Zhang Yu Han then greeted the elderly politely.

Meanwhile, Li Ren Xin stared at the man with a scrutinizing gaze. 

"Zhang Yu Han?" Li Ren Xin repeated. He placed a hand under his chin as if he was in deep thought. Then, he looked up again. "Are you from Zhang Group Worldwide?"

"Yes."

Li Ren Xin turned to his granddaughter in confusion. Previously, he had heard that Chairman Zhang from Zhang Group will attend the wedding reception. As someone from the corporate world, of course, Li Ren Xin had heard about Chairman Zhang. Was he not an old man from his generation? 

The frown on Li Ren Xin's face deepened as he tried to recall the name of that chairman. 

"Chairman Zhang is your grandfather?" 

"He is," Zhang Yu Han said.

Li Ren Xin turned to his granddaughter before Zhang Yu Han could say anything else. "Didn't you say that Chairman Zhang will attend today?"

"Hmm," Li Qin Yao nodded. "Zhang Yu Han's grandfather will attend the wedding separately. I came here early because I wanted to introduce my boyfriend."

Suddenly, it came to him that the Zhang Group had only agreed to invest their money in their project because the grandson was dating his granddaughter.

However, as he continued to eavesdrop to his wife's conversation, Li Ren Xin found out that his granddaughter only started dating after they have won the bidding.

A thought crossed his mind and Li Ren Xin was suddenly annoyed that Liang Sheng had not informed him of any news about the two of them getting together whenever he came to Capital City with the progress report.

As the wedding reception started, Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han escorted her grandparents to the main hall. As the four of them walked into the hall, everyone's inquiring gaze was glued to Li Qin Yao and her partner. 

"Yao Yao, you come and sit with me," Li Chun, her youngest aunt quickly waved her hands to the couple. 

Li Qin Yao glanced at the people on the table. Seeing that the others on the tables were only her youngest aunt and her family, Li Qin Yao decided to sit down with her aunt. She motioned to the table and Zhang Yu Han led her towards her aunt. 

"Little Auntie, is anyone joining you on this table?" Li Qin Yao asked.

Li Chun shook her head. "No. It's just the three of us. We didn't want to leave Nan Feng to sit alone, so we decided to sit together. You know how awkward Nan Feng can be since he did not know anyone here."

"Then, do you mind if I invite two other guests to join us later?" Li Qin Yao asked.

Li Chun shook her head. "Not at all."

Li Qin Yao turned to Zhang Yu Han and nodded. After helping her to pull the chair, Zhang Yu Han then sat down next to his girlfriend.

"Yao Yao, who is this man?" Li Chun looked up and down at Zhang Yu Han a few times and smiled. She leaned closer to her niece and said, "Your boyfriend?"

Li Qin Yao coughed before she nodded. "Little Auntie, this is my boyfriend, Zhang Yu Han.

"Auntie," Zhang Yu Han greeted. 

Li Chun let out a small laugh as she stared at Zhang Yu Han. "So you're Yao Yao's boyfriend. There's no need to feel reserved. Just enjoy the atmosphere." Then, she began to introduce her husband and son to Zhang Yu Han before continuing to chat with the couple.

Not too far away from their table, Li Mu Chen frowned when she saw the tall, handsome man beside her cousin. She nudged at her brother and leaned closer. "Brother, do you know who that is?"

Li Mu Bai raised his head and saw the scene where his youngest aunt's family were talking warmly to Li Qin Yao and her partner. Shrugging his shoulder, Li Mu Bai then answered, "I don't know."

When the two of them entered the hall with their grandparents, Li Mu Bai had recognized that man as Zhang Yu Han, the Director of Zhang Group Worldwide.

However, knowing that his sister was someone who would always argue with their cousin, Li Mu Bai chose not to say anything to her.

"I heard from your third uncle earlier that he's your cousin's boyfriend," Zhao Wei said as she leaned into her daughter.

"Her boyfriend?" Li Mu Chen frowned. "Who is he?"

"Who knows who he is," Zhao Wei shot a look at the table and sneered. "Since he was not from our circle, I'm sure that your cousin is dating a nobody." 

Li Mu Bai, who happened to hear his mother's words let out a small chuckle. As the other turned to look at him, Li Mu Bai picked up the glass in front of him and emptied its content.

After his mother had learned that his cousin, Li Ming Han was marrying Bai Qing Qing, his mother had not stopped from pestering him to get married from one of the ladies from her circle.

Though he had never cared much about his marriage, Li Mu Bai was still annoyed that his mother was treating the siblings' marriage as if it was a contest.

After listening to his mother talking on and on about introducing them to a good prospect after the wedding ceremony, Li Mu Bai let out a tired sigh. He emptied the drink in his glass and stood up. "I'm going to find dad."
