Chapter 194 - We Have Full Trust in her Ability

Li Mu Chen trembled as she saw both Li Mu Bai and Li Qin Yao in front of her. At this time, she could only pray that both of them had not heard anything that she had said to Zhang Yu Han.

However, one look at her brother's expression, Li Mu Chen knew that her brother had probably heard a little bit of what she had said to Director Zhang.

Li Mu Bai ignored his sister and turned to Zhang Yu Han. "Director Zhang."

Li Qin Yao studied the situation before her and tightened her grip on Zhang Yu Han's hands. "What about Grandfather?"

"Xiao Ye came and pick him up a while ago," he whispered. His heart almost stopped beating when he found his girlfriend standing at the corner.

Zhang Yu Han was fully aware of what Li Mu Chen wanted to do, and the last thing he wanted to happen was for his girlfriend might misunderstand the situation.

Fortunately, Li Qin Yao's gaze on him remained the same.

Seeing the casual look on Zhang Yu Han's face as he talked to Li Qin Yao, both Li Mu Bai and Li Mu Chen were dumbfounded. They were expecting that Zhang Yu Han would be angered, but that man continued to treat Li Qin Yao the same.

Li Mu Bai had heard how his sister had tried to sow discord between their cousin and Director Zhang. Of course, he was worried that his sister's words might have an impact on the couple's relationship. "Director Zhang," Li Mu Bai hesitated. 

At this time, he was not sure whether he should address the matter or not. Li Mu Bai was worried that if he raised the matter, Zhang Yu Han might be displeased. What if he took that chance to broke off the cooperation between the two companies.

Everyone presented today would have heard of QL Group cooperation with Zhang Group. If this cooperation broke out, then, wouldn't it be a problem for QL Group?

Zhang Group was fully aware of that scandal involving me two years ago even before we signed to collaborate."

Hearing her words, both Li Mu Bai and his sister turned to Li Qin Yao with an apparent surprise on their expression.

Li Mu Chen frowned as she finally understood why her words did not have any effect on Zhang Yu Han. However, she was still puzzled as to why Zhang Group chose to work with someone with Li Qin Yao or why Zhang Yu Han would stay with her.

The scandal back then was massive. Even after knowing that Li Qin Yao was the cause of that accident, how could someone as great as Zhang Yu Han chose to stay with her.

"President Li, let me be clear to you. Zhang Group only chose to invest in B City Project because your cousin, Li Qin Yao was the one who was in charged of that project. We have full trust in her ability. If it was not for Qin Yao, Zhang Group will not consider investing in this project." Zhang Yu Han said. He glanced at Li Mu Chen and continued. "Moreover, you should teach your sister to be mindful of her words before she caused a problem for your company."

"If there is nothing else, then we will excuse ourselves," Zhang Yu Han said. He nodded once again at Li Mu Bai before he led Li Qin Yao to leave the scene.

Li Mu Bai watched as the couple left the area and turned to his sister in anger. 

"B-brother," Li Mu Chen tried to force a smile that only turned her face crooked. Subconsciously, she took a step back to escape. However, Li Mu Bai had already grabbed her by her arms, preventing her from escaping. "Brother… it was a misunderstanding."

"Do you think I'm deaf? I've heard every word you've said to Director Zhang," Li Mu Bai let out a few cursing words. "Li Mu Chen you idiot. Do you think that I was not aware of what you and mother have been planning?"

Li Mu Chen shook her head. "I have no idea what you are talking about."

"You and Mother have been trying to convince Grandfather to let you transfer to B City. Do you think that once Yao Yao was no longer in charge of that project in B City, you will be able to replace her?" Li Mu Bai sneered. "Li Mu Chen, you are not qualified! You can't even handle that commercial hub project without Mother to ȧssist you. And yet you're dreaming of taking over a large project?"

Li Mu Chen felt her blood boiled at her brother's words. "Li Mu Bai! I am your sister! Why are you siding with an outsider? You were supposed to help me!"

"How is Yao Yao an outsider? She's your cousin! Your family!" Li Mu Bai said angrily.

Fortunately, at this time, the guests have left and no one was walking around the hallway.

"Shut up! How could you speak of such things about your cousin? What you said will not only affect Yao Yao, but also QL Group," Li Mu Bai said. "Do you know what will happen if Director Zhang minded your words and decided to pull out their investment from that project in B City?"

"What will happen? At most, Li Qin Yao will have to pull out of that project!" Li Mu Chen spat in anger.

Li Mu Bai snickered. "Not only Yao Yao will be affected, but QL Group too will be at loss. Do you have any idea how much Zhang Group had invested?
