Chapter 200 - Couldn't Bear to Leave

Their flight from Capital City to Y City arrived around eleven at night. Once they landed, Assistant Huo was already waiting at the arrival hall. He handed a set of keys to Zhang Yu Han and led both Zhang Jing and Zhang Yu Ying to his vehicle.

Zhang Yu Han watched as Assistant Huo's drove away before he led both Li Qin Yao and her mother to his Cayenne. Although it was late at night, he was insistent to send the mother and daughter back to their home in B City. Or else, he would not be at ease.

Once they arrived at the apartment, Zhang Yu Han helped them with their luggage upstairs. After drinking a glass of water poured by his future mother-in-law, Zhang Yu Han excused himself.

Although Xu Yilan had invited him to stay for the night, Zhang Yu Han had rejected her offer with work as his excuse.

Li Qin Yao looked at her boyfriend with distress as she sent him downstairs. It was getting late. He needed to drive back to Y City and wake up early in the morning for work.

"You should head upstairs," Zhang Yu Han said as the two of them walked out of the elevator. "I'll be fine."

Li Qin Yao let out a sigh as she walked him to the foyer. Looking around and found that there was no one else around, she then pulled at his ŀȧpel to get closer. "Actually, my mother and I could always grab a taxi. You don't have to insist to send us back here."

"I won't be at ease until I saw you back safely."

"But now, I'm going to worry that you have to drive back to Y City," Li Qin Yao said. 

Although it would take him around fifteen minutes to drive back to Y City as the traffic was clear, Li Qin Yao could not stop to worry that something would happen. 

They have just arrived from Capital City a while ago and Li Qin Yao knew that her boyfriend was tired. It was apparent to see from the dark circle that started to form under his eyes.

The smile on Zhang Yu Han's lips widened. He put his hands on her waist and kissed her on the forehead. "I'll text you when I arrived home, alright?"

She never imagined herself as someone clingy. But it seemed that being in a relationship with Zhang Yu Han and pampered by him had turned her into a clingy person. Li Qin Yao did not know if it was a good thing to be a clingy person. 

"I'll drive carefully," Zhang Yu Han promised. He tightened his grip around her waist. "If you're too tired, rest a little bit more. Don't go to the office tomorrow."

Li Qin Yao felt his finger touching her arms and trailing from the upper part until it reached to her wrist. His touch was warm and ticklish, causing her to shiver and giggled. "Impossible. There are a lot of documents waiting to be reviewed tomorrow. I can't let Liang Sheng do all my job."

The two of them had taken a long break to attend the wedding in Capital City. Not that they are back, the two of them need to deal with that piling documents on their desk. Because of that, both Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han had agreed that they should not be meeting each other for the next few days.

Initially, Zhang Yu Han disagreed. It took Li Qin Yao a while to coax him not to drive over to B City to meet her. Because he did not want his girlfriend to worry too much, Zhang Yu Han had to reluctantly agree. 

During the past few days in Capital City, he was able to see her whenever he wanted to, and kiss her whenever they were together. Now that they were going to be apart for a few days, Zhang Yu Han found that it would be hard for him.

If it was up to him, Zhang Yu Han wanted to be able to see her all the time. 

He wondered if it would be a good idea to kidnap her and bring her home. 

"I'm going to miss you," Zhang Yu Han said.

"I'm going to miss you too," Li Qin Yao buried her face on his ċhėst and inhaled in his scent. When she thought that she had enough, Li Qin Yao pulled away and tilted her head up to look at him. "Alright. You need to go now. Don't let me stop you."

Zhang Yu Han chuckled at her words. "You couldn't bear to let me go?" he teased. 

Unexpectedly, the girl in his arms looked at him with a serious expression and nodded. "Un."

Zhang Yu Han felt his head numbed and his heart skipped a beat. "You shouldn't acknowledge that easily."

Li Qin Yao raised a brow. "Why not?"

The way she looked at him guilelessly made him smile. "Now I couldn't bear to leave," Zhang Yu Han sighed helplessly.

Li Qin Yao was dumbstruck. He had lowered his tone as he spoke making his voice was husky and ticklish. Li Qin Yao soon found herself entrapped by both his gaze and voice.

Suddenly, he closed the gap between them and descended to kiss her lips. His arms were holding her waist tightly as his lips glided against hers. There was nothing else that she can do but to respond to him. 

Just when she thought that she was going to lose her ability to breathe properly, Zhang Yu Han finally pulled away. He rubbed his thumb on her lips and smiled. "I should go now."

Li Qin Yao pursed her lips as she watched him turned around and headed over to his Cayenne.

Li Qin Yao returned to the office the next day and Liang Sheng briefed her about the progress during her absence the first thing in the morning. Li Qin Yao flipped through the documents and felt an incoming headache as she stared at the piling files on her desk.

She had left the office for almost two weeks. Obviously now that she had returned to the office, she had to face her work.

Li Qin Yao took a deep breath as she checked the agreements with their project suppliers as Liang Sheng was briefing her about visiting the suppliers to sign the agreements.

Her eyes scanned at the paper and paused when she saw the company they were going to sign with.
