"Granduncle, I need you to help me to find someone," Zhang Yu Han said.
Elder Qi paused when he heard his request. He stared at Zhang Yu Han for a few seconds longer and turned around. Knowing well what the elderly were going to do, Zhang Yu Han picked up his coat, and obediently followed the elder man into his office.
Just as the two sat down around the mahogany table, someone knocked on the door and a young man dressed in smartly in a black suit walked in with a tray of tea. After he had sat the drinks on the table, the young man left quietly.
Elder Qi took a sip at his tea and looked at the young man before him. "Why do you need me to help you to look for someone?"
"It's for my wife," Zhang Yu Han said.
"That's right," Elder Qi put the teacup back on the table. "I heard that you've got married recently."
"I have recently obtained a marriage certificate," Zhang Yu Han said. He found that he was never tired of saying these words no matter how many times. "We will hold a wedding once my parents came back to discuss it."
Elder Qi nodded. A rare smile appeared on his lips and he cleared his throat and lifted his gaze at Zhang Yu Han again. "Alright. Tell me what happened."
Zhang Yu Han quickly explained his wife's situation to the elderly man. When he finished, Elder Qi picked up his phone and dialed a number. Not long after, a familiar face showed up at the door. Zhang Yu Han stood up to greet him. "Ming Wei, it has been a long time."
"I heard from Qi Zheng that you got married. Congratulations," Qi Ming Wei said. He slapped Zhang Yu Han on the shoulder, causing the latter to grimaced in pain.
This was probably why his grandfather did not like to come over and meet the Qi's family. Almost everyone in the family can be a little bit rough that every time they met each other, they wanted to spar or compare their strength.
Every time Zhang Jing came to meet with his brother-in-law, the latter would always ask him to head over to the training room.
This situation started from the moment his late wife brought him back to the Qi's house to introduce him to everyone else. Although Zhang Jing's wife has passed away for years, his brother-in-law would still insist for him to train his strength.
This was why Zhang Jing did not like going back to the Qi's residence.
"Thank you," Zhang Yu Han said to Qi Ming Wei. "Please come to my wedding banquet when the time comes."
Qi Ming Wei nodded before he turned to his grandfather with a serious look on his face. "Grandfather, why did you call me over?"
"Yu Han had something he would like you to help. Ming Wei, you help him," Elder Qi said. He then stood up and walked to the door. "Zhang Yu Han, tell your grandfather to come and meet me for a drink."
"Yes, granduncle."
Instead of discussing in the room, Qi Ming Wei brought Zhang Yu Han around the house and stopped as they reached the spacious lawn. Qi Ming Wei pulled out his cigarette but stopped when he realized that they were still around the residence.
Qi Ming Wei let out a loud sigh and turned to Zhang Yu Han. "What happened?"
Zhang Yu Han repeated the situation and request to Qi Ming Wei waited for the man's reaction.
"I can help you to find that man," Qi Ming Wei said after he had listened to Zhang Yu Han's request. Anyway, it was just finding a man. It was not something hard with the Qi's family connection. "I'm a little bit busy these days, but give me one week. I will send over the information you need soon."
Zhang Yu Han let out a sigh of relief. He had heard from his wife that she has been trying to locate for that man for two years and it was until recently that she coincidentally ran into him. "Thank you."
Qi Ming Wei waved his hand. "Do you need me to look into the case as well?"
Zhang Yu Han hesitated before he finally nodded.
Although Li Qin Yao had told him everything about the case, perhaps with the Qi's connection, they might find something new.
…
When Zhang Yu Han returned to their apartment, he found his wife in the living room. Instead of working on her ŀȧptop, his wife was sound asleep with her head rested on the glass table.
Looking at her pitiable state, Zhang Yu Han put down his bag on the table and walked over to his wife. Bending down, he kissed her on the cheek and watched as she stirred in her sleep.
Li Qin Yao rubbed at her eyes and sat up. Her lips curled into a smile when she saw Zhang Yu Han beside her. "You're back."
"Hmm… How could you sleep here?" Zhang Yu Han frowned. "If you're feeling sleepy, you should sleep in the room."
"Didn't you tell me that I shouldn't be moving around?"
Zhang Yu Han stared at his wife who was looking back at him with her big eyes and bopped at her nose. He wanted to punish this woman, but at the same time, he was unwilling to do anything that would hurt her.
Li Qin Yao wrinkled her nose and smiled shyly. "Besides, it doesn't feel right when you're not beside me."
Hearing her words, Zhang Yu Han felt an inexplicable feeling in his heart. It was like something warm, sweet, and pleasurable surrounding his heart and spreading through his body. "Then, do you want to sleep together now? I don't have to return to the office after this."
The red tinge on her face turned a shade darker. Seeing that he had inched closer to her, Li Qin Yao put both hands on his ċhėst to stop his advance. "Hubby, I'm hungry. Did you bring back to lunch?"
Zhang Yu Han narrowed his eyes dangerously at his wife. He did not know whether this girl was deliberately trying to seduce him or not. Didn't she know that the word 'hubby' was enough to tempt him?
Seeing the way she laughed innocently, Zhang Yu Han could only take a deep breath and suppress whatever feeling that she had ignited. "I bought you dishes that you like." He went forward to lift her in his arms but was stopped by his wife.
"I can still walk on my own," Li Qin Yao said. She noticed the displeased look on his face and continued, "You don't have to carry me. Just stay by my side and support me, alright?"
"I know. But I just wanted to spoil you once in a while." Without waiting for her answer, Zhang Yu Han put his arms around her body and lifted her up.
Li Qin Yao yelped before she put her arms around his neck. "Am I not heavy?"
Zhang Yu Han shook his head. "Not heavy at all."
