Chapter 246 - Asking Out For a Date

Zhang Yu Han was surprised upon seeing that his wife had shown up at his office.

After taking a break from work for almost a week, Zhang Yu Han had expected that his wife would choose to stay at the office to deal with her work pile. He was expecting that his wife would be back home later than usual.

"Why are you here?" Zhang Yu Han stood up and walked over to his wife. Swiftly, he put his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to kiss her on the lips. "I thought that you would come home later today."

Li Qin Yao let out a giggle when she felt his voice and breath tickling her ears. "I decided to clock out after visiting the site. I don't have many things to do. Liang Sheng was pretty efficient. He helped me to handle a lot of things during my absence. I only need to check on the documents and sign."

"Perhaps I should get something to reward Liang Sheng for making my wife's life easier."

"Hmm… I was already thinking about talking to my grandfather to give him a raise or something." She laughed. "I run into Wei Jun Hao during lunch today."

"I know," Zhang Yu Han scoffed as he recalled how his friend had sent him a string of text to brag. "I heard. Next time, you don't have to mind him if you run into him." 

A laugh escaped her lips when she saw the annoyed look on his face. She stood on tiptoed and linked her arms around his neck to support herself. "We talked about you during lunch and I suddenly realized that I missed you so much."

Zhang Yu Han heaved a sigh. He did not know whether he should continue to be unhappy that his buddy went out for lunch with his wife. According to his wife's words, she only decided to come over and surprise him after meeting with Wei Jun Hao, right?

"What did the two of you talk about?" Zhang Yu Han raised his brows.

"Nothing much. Just something about you during your high school." Li Qin Yao.

"Mrs. Zhang, the next time you wanted to know more about me, you should ask me yourself," Zhang Yu Han said. "I will gladly answer your questions. You don't need to hear about me from someone else."

Li Qin Yao tilted her head sideways. "Mr. Zhang… Are you hiding something from me?"

Instead of answering her question, Zhang Yu Han chose to bend down to meet her lips. Suddenly, he was pressing her against the wall and the two made out until Li Qin Yao find that it was difficult for her to catch her breath.

"Are you still busy?" Li Qin Yao asked once she was able to find her voice again. "Let's have dinner together."

"Are you asking me out for a date?"

"Un," she obediently nodded. Seconds later, her expression turned mischievous. "Mr. Zhang, do you want to go on a date with me?"

Zhang Yu Han leaned in to peck her on the lips. "Wait for me for a while." He released his hand around her waist reluctantly and walked over to his desk to finish his work.

As his wife was present to motivate him, Zhang Yu Han found that he was able to finish his work earlier than expected. After dropping by to greet their grandfather, the two of them finally left the hotel. The two of them decided to leave Zhang Yu Han's Cayenne at the hotel and head to an Italian restaurant near their apartment in Li Qin Yao's car. 

Once they arrived, a waiter greeted them at the door and led them to a seat facing the garden. As they waited for their food to arrive, the two of them discussed a little bit about the progress with the development project in B City, to what they plan to do next.

Zhang Yu Han recalled how his wife had mentioned going to watch a movie together and decided to experience going for a movie once. Anyway, they had never got the chance to see a movie together. 

Although Zhang Yu Han was not interested in spending a few hours watching a movie, at the thought that he will be able to cuddle with his wife in the dark still excite him.

However, as they were walking on the street, the rain suddenly poured down. Because they were unprepared the two of them could only jog back to the apartment and hide away from the weather.

As they finally reached their apartment building, Zhang Yu Han quickly helped to neaten her clothes. Li Qin Yao looked at the way Zhang Yu Han's white shirt clung at his body and laughed. "Do you still want to go out and watch the movie?"

Zhang Yu Han looked up at the sky and then at himself.

Fortunately, he had used his coat to cover her from the rain. Therefore, as compared to Li Qin Yao, his clothes were wet.

Seeing his wet clothes, Zhang Yu Han heaved a sigh and shook his head. "Let's just go home."

Li Qin Yao could not help but notice the disappointed look on Zhang Yu Han's face when they had to return home earlier than planned. 

Li Qin Yao walked over to Zhang Yu Han with a towel in her hand. Looking at the water dripping down from his hair, Li Qin Yao stood on tiptoe to help him dry his hair. "Sit down. It's difficult to help you dry your hair like this."

Zhang Yu Han tilted his head and smiled mischievously. "Do you know what this weather reminds me of?"

"What?"

"L City. The amusement park."

Li Qin Yao did not have to think too hard to know what his meaning. Gradually, her face turned red at the thought of how she had bravely taken the initiative to kiss him.

"Wasn't that because you were too slow to take the initiative?"

Zhang Yu Han let out a low laugh. He put both hands on her waist and pulled her closer. "But I like you to take the initiative."

Li Qin Yao thought that she would die from embarrassment from his words. Her eyes widened when she saw him suddenly sitting down on the sofa. "What are you doing?"

"Didn't you ask me to sit down so that you can help dry my hair?" he blinked his eyes innocently.
