Chapter 271 - Are You That Impatient?

Waking up from his sleep, Zhang Yu Han found that his wife was no longer beside him on the bed. He slid off the bed, put on his bathrobe, and walked out of the room once he had freshened up.

When he walked out, Zhang Yu Han found his wife in the kitchen. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder. "Good morning." He spoke close to her ears and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Li Qin Yao shrunk when she heard his lazy voice beside her ears. Because he had just woken up from his sleep, Li Qin Yao found that his voice was extremely sėxy right now. She turned her head and pecked at his lips. "Good morning."

"Why are you up so early? Aren't you tired?" Zhang Yu Han said as he nuzzled at her neck. He peered into the pot and saw that she was preparing some noodles.

Li Qin Yao giggled at his words. "Isn't today is your birthday? Of course, I have to cook some noodles for you to eat." She turned off the stove and spoke, "Move over. The water's boiling."

"Hmm," Zhang Yu Han obediently moved aside and watched as she poured some soup on the noodles. Then, Li Qin Yao began to put on some boiled egg and sprinkled some scallion on top before she held the bowl of noddle in front of him.

"It's good that you're awake now. Just in time to eat the noddle while it's still hot." 

Li Qin Yao carried the bowl into the dining room and set the cutlery beside it. Then, she turned to her husband and tugged at his hand to the table. She picked up the chopstick and handed it to him. "Come on. Eat."

Zhang Yu Han stared at the bowl of noodles before he picked up the chopstick. "You always cooked for me. Aren't you afraid that I might gain some weight because of you?"

"If you gained some weight, then, doesn't that show that I have been treating you well?"

"Really?" Zhang Yu Han eyed her from her hair to toe. "Then, why are you still so skinny?"

"I have a good metabolism."

Zhang Yu Han chuckled at her words. Then, he walked closer to her and whispered. "Or perhaps, you have been exercising regularly." 

Li Qin Yao was about to answer when she saw the glint in his eyes. It was then that she understood his meaning. Suddenly, Li Qin Yao felt her face grew hot. She tugged at his hand and forced him to sit down. "Stop talking. Just eat before the noodles get cold alright?"

The corner of Zhang Yu Han's lips tilted into a lopsided smile. He sat down obediently and started eating his noodles silently. Once the bowl was empty, he pushed the bowl across the table and turned to his wife.

"How was it?"

"Of course it's delicious," Zhang Yu Han smiled. "But I think you tasted as delicious as well."

Li Qin Yao laughed at his words. Under his penetrating gaze, soon, Li Qin Yao began to feel her face burned and she covered her face with both hands. After a while, Li Qin Yao stood up from her seat and walked over to hug him. "Zhang Yu Han. I wish you a long, long life. Let's live together for a very long time, alright?"

When Zhang Yu Han arrived at the hotel, Secretary Tian announced that his friend, Su Ming Yuan was waiting for him in the lounge. Zhang Yu Han walked into his office and asked Secretary Tian to escort his friend to his office.

Shortly after, there was a knock on the door. Zhang Yu Han permitted to enter and soon, Su Ming Yuan walked in with a tired look on his face.

Seeing the look on his friend's face, Zhang Yu Han walked over to the side and poured a cup of black coffee for his friend. "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in T Country?"

Su Ming Yuan rolled his eyes. "Did you forget why I went there in the first place?" He took out something from his pocket and placed it on the table.

Zhang Yu Han turned to look at the table and his eyes narrowed when he saw the royal blue velvet box. 

"You sent me to T Country and entrusted me with this, remember?" Su Ming Yuan complained. "I rushed the jeweler and ask them to finish this earlier so that I can come back on your birthday. But who knew, not long after I went to T Country, you have registered your marriage! Zhang Yu Han, are you that impatient?"

"Hmm," Zhang Yu Han nodded as he reached for the blue velvet box. "I am that impatient."

"Crap, you're shameless!" Su Ming Yuan let out a chuckle. He took the mug of coffee that his friend had poured for him and emptied half of its contents. 

Zhang Yu Han opened the blue velvet box slowly and stared at the proposal ring made of white gold. On the center of the ring was a diamond with a faint blue glow. 

When Li Qin Yao had gone over to Capital City to visit Han Yue Xiu's mother, Zhang Yu Han had this thought that he could not bear to be apart from her for a long time. At that time, he had this thought that he wanted to marry her, and thus, he began to plan to propose.

After looking for some information, Zhang Yu Han had an interest in two of the diamonds—the blue and the pink. It was then that he gave Li Qin Yao a call and asked her randomly at which color that she preferred. Back then, Li Qin Yao had chosen blue.

Therefore, Zhang Yu Han sent his friend to procure that blue diamond and asked him to prepare a proposal ring.

But who would have thought that he get too impatient after living with her for a night and suddenly proposed to her without a ring?

"Since you are already married, how about selling the ring for me? You probably won't be needing this anymore, right?" 

Zhang Yu Han sent his friend a dangerous look. "What are you going to do with this ring? You don't even have a girlfriend."

Su Ming Yuan loosened the tie around his neck exasperatedly. "Fortunately, today is your birthday. Or else, I will definitely beat you to death."

"Can you beat me?"

"Speaking to you will soon kill me with high blood pressure."

Zhang Yu Han chuckled. He stared at the ring for a while longer and closed the velvet box. "Su Ming Yuan, thank you. I will transfer the money to you later."

Su Ming Yuan waved his hand. "Right. I almost forgot. Happy birthday. Since I have returned, shouldn't we gather the boys together and celebrate your birthday as usual?"

Zhang Yu Han thought over the question and said, "I'll have to check with my wife."
