Chapter 297 - Wedding Preparation

With her wedding day approaching fast, Li Qin Yao has been working hard to settle her workload before she was going to take two weeks break. Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han have been married for a few months, but they have not gone for their honeymoon yet. Because of that, the two of them decided to go on a trip the next day after their wedding. 

They were going to visit Country H and enjoyed the beach view for a few days and then fly over to Country C.

Both Zhang Xi and Liu Hui Lan had decided to return to Country C a few days after the wedding ended and had invited the new couple to come over and stay at their place for a few days. Li Qin Yao thought that it would be great to visit a few places where her husband had stayed during his university years. 

She went through her checklist at what she should deal with before she left the office for a long time. Fortunately, Li Mu Bai had agreed to look over the project while she was absent. Besides, with Liang Sheng overseeing the progress, Li Qin Yao was not that worried about leaving. After working with Liang Sheng for months, Li Qin Yao knew that he could be trusted with the project.

A knock resounded at the door and soon, Liang Sheng entered the office. 

"Liang Sheng, it's good that you're here," Li Qin Yao breathed with relief. "Come here and look at this."

The bespectacled man walked over to the table and the two of them discussed work for almost an hour. Then, Li Qin Yao proceeded to give him a few instructions on what he should do while she was away. 

Just s the two of them were talking, Liang Sheng's phone began to chime. He glanced at the notification and smiled. "Chairman Li and the others have landed in Y City."

It was then that Li Qin Yao seemed to recall that her family would arrive in Y City from Capital City. Fortunately, she did not have to worry about picking them up as her father-in-law had decided to greet them at the airport before they will be escorted to stay in the hotel.

Li Qin Yao glanced one last time at her computer and spoke, "My vacation started tomorrow and I will leave the office for two weeks. Liang Sheng, I'll leave everything to you. If there is anything important, you should email me immediately," Li Qin Yao said. "Although I might be away, I can still check at my emails."

"You don't have to worry. The bespectacled man smiled. "I will not disappoint you."

Li Qin Yao picked up her backpack and smiled. "Well then, I'll see you again in two days. You are going to attend my wedding right?"

"Of course," Liang Sheng chuckled. "Everyone here is planning to attend the wedding. I wouldn't miss it."

A few minutes later, Li Qin Yao finally left her office with Mister Shen, her bodyguard, and head over to Zhang's Hotel. Before she got the chance to find her husband, Li Qin Yao ran into her mother-in-law at the entrance, and thus, she was dragged to the banquet hall to look at the decoration.

"Mom, isn't it too early to put on these decorations?" Li Qin Yao asked as she looked at how the tables were arranged. "I thought that they were going to start ȧssembling them tomorrow."

"There's nothing wrong with preparing early," Liu Hui Lan said. "The hall is empty anyway. Your Grandfather said that it would be best to set up everything early."

Li Qin Yao accompanied her mother-in-law to look around the hall and after half an hour later, she was able to escape from the situation.

Secretary Tian was already waiting for her when she arrived at his floor. "Mrs. Zhang, Director Zhang has been waiting for your arrival for a while."

"I met my mother-in-law downstairs and she took me to look at the hall," Li Qin Yao said. "Secretary Tian, didn't I tell you previously to start addressing me as Qin Yao or Yao Yao?"

"I know," Secretary Tian smiled. "But Director Zhang said he preferred me and everyone else in this company to address you as Mrs. Zhang."

Li Qin Yao let out a helpless sigh. She walked over to her husband's office and entered the room after knocking at the door twice.

"You're here," Zhang Yu Han quickly stood up when he saw his wife. Once he reached by her side, Zhang Yu Han gave her a peck on the lips. "Are you tired?"

"I'm still alright," Li Qin Yao smiled. "I've handed my work to Liang Sheng and the others. This way, I can enjoy our honeymoon without worrying too much."

Zhang Yu Han could not hide his anticipation at the thought of going on a vacation with just the two of them, Because of the wedding preparation, their parents would always show up unexpectedly and kidnapped his wife away to discuss the details on their wedding.

Although he had offered to help, his mother had told him that he was not being helpful at all. Anyway, whenever his mother would turn to him to ask for his opinion, Zhang Yu Han would then turn to his wife and ask for her opinion.

In the end, Liu Hui Lan thought that it would be better to ask her daughter-in-law directly. 

As Li Qin Yao sat down on the sofa, her husband had appeared by her side with a mug of warm ginger and brown sugar tea. Li Qin Yao giggled as she accepted the mug. "It has been the fourth day. My stomach doesn't hurt anymore."

"I asked Secretary Tian to prepare them once I heard that you have arrived," Zhang Yu Han said. "Just drink. I heard that it would be beneficial to your body."

"Alright. I'll listen to you," Li Qin Yao drank the tea and handed the mug back to her husband once she emptied its contents.

Actually, she was quite disappointed once she found out that her period had come. After she had made up her mind to give her husband a big, fat baby, Li Qin Yao was so looking forward that their hard work would finally show the result. However, just because she had set her mind on it, it doesn't mean that it will happen so soon.

In the end, her husband had to coax her not to get disappointed. After all, it hasn't been too long since they decided to try for a baby.

Just as she was deep in her thought, Zhang Yu Han had appeared behind her to wrap his arms around her shoulder before he leaned in to kiss her cheek. 

"After having dinner with everyone, let's head home to rest, alright?" Zhang Yu Han suggested. He took a deep breath to inhale her scent and peck at her cheek again. "Qin Yao, I just wanted to spend my time cuddling with you before tomorrow."
