Chapter 319 - Relationship Consultant

When Li Qin Yao stepped into the showroom, she was surprised upon seeing that her guest was no other than Han Yue Xiu's boss, no, business partner, Song Yi. The quiet man was standing in front of the miniature model of Tourism City and he was reading a pamphlet.

Li Qin Yao walked over to that man and raised her brow, wondering if she had seen it wrongly. Just before she could say a word, Song Yi had turned around to look at her. There was a startled look on his expression before he eased up and an awkward smile appeared on his face.

"Mister Song? Are you considering to buy a property lot?" Li Qin Yao greeted. She glanced at the model and then, back at him. "I heard that you are looking for me?"

Song Yi coughed dryly. "I need to talk to you if that is alright?"

Li Qin Yao could not think of anything that the two of them could talk about other than Han Yue Xiu. At the thought of how Song Yi used to treat Han Yue Xiu in the past, Li Qin Yao was reluctant to talk to him.

However, Han Yue Xiu had also told her that Song Yi had changed. Not too long ago, her husband had also mentioned that Han Yue Xiu was able to find to stop some mercenaries from contacting her cousin, Li Mu Chen due to Song Yi's help. Thinking that Song Yi had played a role to help her, Li Qin Yao decided that it would not hurt to spend a few minutes with him.

"How about walking a few blocks away? There is a cafe and we can talk there," Li Qin Yao said. She might as well let Song Yi pay for a cup of coffee and make a small profit from it.

Song Yi nodded. "Sure."

Li Qin Yao grabbed her purse and led Song Yi to her cafe which was a few blocks away. Mister Shen, the bodyguard followed them silently.

Once she stepped inside the cafe, Li Qin Yao signaled the others to pretend that they did not know her, before she took a seat. 

Yin Mei Xuan raised a brow at the sight of a handsome man sitting with her friend. She glanced at Li Qin Yao, with and left once she put down a cup of coffee for Song Yi and hot lemon tea for Li Qin Yao.

Li Qin Yao took a sip from her drink and looked at the man sitting across her. "Can you say what you came here for?"

Song Yi hesitated. "I'm sorry that I have almost injured you in the past."

Her eyes widened, thinking that it was surprising that Song Yi would still remember that incident. "Apology accepted. But you did not come here to apologize, right? Is this about Han Yue Xiu?"

Song Yi's expression brightened up a little bit. "Yes. I know that you are Han Yue Xiu's best friend. I—I like her."

Li Qin Yao almost spluttered the tea in her mouth. She had long known that Song Yi liked her friend, but why was he telling this to her?

"Mister Song, these words, shouldn't you tell them to Han Yue Xiu? Why did you tell me this?"

Song Yi closed his eyes briefly. "It's only because I don't know what else I can do. You should know that Han Yue Xiu had rejected me a few times." 

Recently, his relationship with Han Yue Xiu had turned better, but he no longer dared to make another confession. He was not afraid of her rejection but was afraid that Han Yue Xiu would start treating him coldly again. What if she decided to ghost on him?

"As Han Yue Xiu's friend, you should know what your friend likes," Song Yi continued. "I need your help."

So he came to see her as his relationship consultant?

"I'm sorry that I cannot interfere in this matter," Li Qin Yao said. "If you like her, then you should tell her. Whether she will accept or reject you is up to her. Even if I say a few good words about you, you should know that Han Yue Xiu is a stubborn person."

"The only thing I can tell you was that Han Yue Xiu did not like it if she was forced to do something," Li Qin Yao said. "From what I heard, Mister Song, it was your attitude towards her in the past that makes her dislike you so much."

After giving some pointers to Song Yi, Li Qin Yao decided to return to her office and deal with her piling work. Of course, she was going to let Song Yi pay for their drinks.

Just as Li Qin Yao stepped out of the cafe and felt the sun shining on her face, Li Qin Yao suddenly felt a little bit dizzy. Turning around, Li Qin Yao suddenly saw a car, speeding towards her. She took a step back and wrapped her head with her hand to cover herself from the impact.

The impact she was waiting for did not arrive. When Li Qin Yao opened her eyes again, Song Yi was looking at her with an anxious look on his face.

"Miss Li, are you alright?" Song Yi asked. As he recalled what had almost happened before his eyes, Song Yi was frightened. Fortunately, he was quick enough to pull her aside. Or else, he wouldn't know what will happen. Song Yi turned towards the direction where the car had disappeared and scolded. "What reckless driver!" 

Due to shock, almost everyone in the cafe stepped out to look at the situation.

At this time, Mister Shen suddenly appeared by their side. "Mrs. Zhang! Thank God you're alright!" He lowered his head and spoke again, "Forgive me. I was too negligent and failed to protect you!" His face paled, knowing of the punishment that he will have to face after this.

"Yao Yao!" Yin Mei Xuan stepped up upon seeing her friend's pale face. It was not hard to know that her friend almost got herself into an accident. "Yao Yao, are you alright?"

"Mister Song, I'm fine now," Li Qin Yao said as she patted him on his arms. "You can let me go."

Just as Song Yi removed his hand, Li Qin Yao felt her legs trembled.

Before she fell on the sidewalk, Yin Mei Xuan who was the closest to Li Qin Yao had caught her body and supported her up. "Yao Yao, are you alright?" Yin Mei Xuan looked at the two men in front of her and commanded, "We need to take her to the hospital."

"No. I'm fine," Li Qin Yao said. "I will be fine after a brief rest."

"Mrs. Zhang, I need to take you to the hospital," Mister Shen said. "If anything happened to you, I—"

Looking at the man's guilty expression, Li Qin Yao finally nodded. "Alright."
