Chapter 324 - You are Someone Important to Me

After resting for the weekend, Li Qin Yao finally returned to her office as usual. Although Zhang Yu Han was worried about his wife's condition he knew that he could not stop his wife doing something she enjoyed.

When they left the apartment, Li Qin Yao was surprised to see that Mister Shen was no longer around and instead, found that Qi Ming Wei stood with a tall woman in a ponytail beside her car.

Li Qin Yao glanced at her husband and raised a brow. The two of them walked over and Qi Ming Wei greeted the couple with a smile on his face.

"Let me introduce you," Qi Ming Wei said. He turned to the girl beside him and said. "This is Miss Nian Ting."

The tall girl nodded and smiled professionally. "Hello."

Qi Ming Wei shifted his gaze to Li Qin Yao and said. "Mrs. Zhang, Miss Nian will be replacing Mister Shen to look over you from today onwards."

Li Qin Yao blinked as she looked at the two of them. "What happened to Mister Shen?"

"I asked Qi Ming Wei to find a female bodyguard for you. There are some places that Mister Shen could not go with you because of his gender. Taking Miss Nian with you would be safer," Zhang Yu Han said.

Of course, Zhang Yu Han would not say that he decided to stop using Mister Shen's service after he had failed to protect his wife. Previously, Qi Ming Wei had sent a CCTV recording of that event and knew that if it was not for Song Yi's fast act, his wife would probably lying on the hospital bed right now with her body linked to the machine and various tube inserted to her body.

As he imagined this thing to happen, Zhang Yu Han's gaze turned dark. Of course, he will not let someone negligent of his job to continue to be around his wife.

Li Qin Yao heard his words and looked at her husband with a helpless gaze. She tugged at his shirt and whispered, "Actually, I would be alright without a bodyguard. Having someone around me felt so weird. I am not someone important."

Zhang Yu Han lowered his body to meet her gaze. He then spoke in a low voice to match her tone, "Qin Yao, you are my wife. You are someone important to me."

Hearing his words, Li Qin Yao felt something sweet bubbling in her heart.

"Besides," Zhang Yu Han continued. "After what almost happened the other day, I will worry about you when I am not by your side. At least, with someone around you, I would be more at ease. Especially now."

Li Qin Yao thought over his words and nodded. "Alright. I'll listen to you."

A smile curled at his lips upon hearing her answer.

"Mrs. Zhang, you don't have to worry. Miss Nian might be young, but I can ȧssure you that she has been receiving the best training," Qi Ming Wei said. "Her skill will not lose to Mister Shen."

"Thank you." Li Qin Yao nodded again. Then, she turned to Nian Ting and smiled. "Since this will be the first day for us, let me introduce myself. I'm Li Qin Yao."

The two women shook their hands and chatted briefly before Li Qin Yao handed her car keys to Nian Ting. After speaking a few words to her husband, Li Qin Yao then entered the car and the two head over to B City.

With the bodyguard ȧssigned by her husband, Li Qin Yao could not help but think that Zhang Yu Han had hired a driver for her instead. Other than the last time, Li Qin Yao did not think that her life would be in danger. However, at the thought that she did not like to drive anyway, Li Qin Yao decided that it was pretty good to have someone like Nian Ting.

When Li Qin Yao arrived at the office, her staff could not help but cast a few glances towards Miss Nian and Li Qin Yao had to explain her situation. Hearing that her husband decided to let Nian Ting guard her, the staff began to tease Li Qin Yao for her good luck in meeting someone who treated her very well.

Liang Sheng walked into the office around lunch hour and went straight to Li Qin Yao's room. He glanced at the ponytail haired woman inside her employer's room and raised a brow.

"Liang Sheng, this is Miss Nian Ting," Li Qin Yao introduced. "She will be replacing Mister Shen due to some reason."

The bespectacled man nodded to the female bodyguard and walked over to Li Qin Yao's desk.

"Did you just arrive from Capital City?" Li Qin Yao asked as she rearranged the scattered papers on her desk.

"Yes," Liang Sheng nodded. He then placed a white A4 envelope on the desk. "This is something from Chairman Li."

Li Qin Yao peeked into the envelope and saw that it was some documents that were probably related to her auntie, Li Chun's wedding gift the other day. She slid the papers back into the envelope and put it aside.

Once he was done, Li Qin Yao then said, "Liang Sheng, due to some personal reason, I have to ask you and Xiao Lian Yi to attend any social dinner for my stead, is that alright with you?"

Liang Sheng stared at her for a while and nodded. "Alright. Are you okay?" After working under Li Qin Yao for a while, Liang Sheng knew her habit that she will try to attend to any business gathering she was invited to. QL Group was still a baby in B City. They will need to build a strong relationship with other big companies if they wanted to stay longer.

"Don't worry. I'm fine."

Seeing that Li Qin Yao was not going to explain, Liang Sheng did not think that it was appropriate for him to ask. The two of them spoke briefly before Liang Sheng left the room.

Once Liang Sheng left the room, Li Qin Yao brought out the thermos she had brought with her earlier in the morning.

With a friend's recommendation, Zhang Yu Han had hired an Auntie to come over their apartment to cook food for his wife in the morning and at night.

When the elder lady called Auntie Su came over to their apartment, Li Qin Yao could only stare at her in disbelief. Although she had agreed to Zhang Yu Han's idea to have someone to cook for her, she did not think that he will work that fast!

Li Qin Yao unclasped the thermos and inhaled the delicious aroma of the food. Her stomach started to grumble. She poured some into a small bowl and started to drink the porridge. However, as the food touched her tongue, a frown appeared on her face.

She had momentarily forgotten how tasteless the food that the Auntie had prepared for her!
