Chapter 358 - Counting Days

With less than two months until she gave birth, Li Qin Yao has taken her maternity leave and decided to rest at home. Her grandfather, Li Ren Xin knew that she had almost given birth and had advised her to work from home. 

Anyway, it would not be hard for Li Qin Yao to deal with a few of her work through her computer. Besides, Liang Sheng or Xiao Lian Yi could come over to her place to deliver some documents if they needed her signature. Therefore, Li Qin Yao did not have to show up at the office to get her job done.

The couple had moved in into a more spacious house with strict safety a few months ago. Because the area was a little bit quiet than the apartment they used to live in, Li Qin Yao found that it was a bit lonely whenever Zhang Yu Han had left for work.

Fortunately, with the spacious house, the couple had adopted the gray kitten that she had found in Grandfather's backyard months ago. Auntie Su would come over to cook her in the morning and leave after her husband came back. With Auntie Wu from Grandfather's house to come over and check on her, at least Li Qin Yao got someone to talk to whenever she was bored. 

That afternoon, Li Qin Yao was waiting for Liang Sheng to come over with a few documents when her phone started to ring. Once she saw the name in the caller ID, Li Qin Yao quickly slid her finger on the screen to answer.

"Yao Yao, are you busy now?" Han Yue Xiu's spoke as soon as the call was connected.

"What busy? I've got nothing to do these days except for counting days and waiting to give birth to my baby." Li Qin Yao ċȧrėssed her bulging stomach and waddled over to the sofa to sit down.

"Right. You still have two months before delivery, right?"

"Six weeks."

Han Yue Xiu muttered some curse. "Isn't that too soon? Yao Yao, I feel that your life is moving too fast. It was not long ago when you started to date Mr. Zhang and now you are going to give birth."

Li Qin Yao laughed. Her lips subconsciously curled into a blissful smile as she recalled that next week, it will be a year since they had registered their marriage. 

At this time, the gray kitten jumped on the table and started to rub his head on her hands. Li Qin Yao lifted her hand and started to scratch the kitten on his head. "Stop talking nonsense. Everyone has their own pace. Didn't you say something like that previously? Anyway, I know that Zhang Yu Han is the one. Therefore, I did not want to wait too long to marry him and have a child."

Han Yue Xiu was suddenly reminded of the things she said to her friend back when she was still dating that scumbag, Chen Hao. Fortunately, Yao Yao has subconsciously had some doubt about their relationship and had hesitated to introduce him to her paternal grandparents.

After knowing that person's true nature, Han Yue Xiu was glad that the two had broken up before they had taken their relationship to another step. She could not imagine Yao Yao's life if she had to stay with Chen Hao. 

Seeing how Zhang Yu Han and his family treated her nicely, Han Yue Xiu was glad that her friend had chosen to give their relationship a chance. Li Qin Yao was so in love with her husband and as a friend, Han Yue Xiu was happy to see that they were happy together. 

"Alright, stop stuffing me with dog food," Han Yue Xiu rolled her eyes. "How was it? Are you ready to give birth?"

"I cannot deny that I'm a bit scared that I will give birth to this child soon," Li Qin Yao said. "But I cannot wait to meet this child. Right now, my stomach is so big that I probably look like I have swallowed a watermelon. I constantly have backache and the baby won't stop kicking me. I'm starting to think that I am probably carrying a boy with how active the baby is."

Han Yue Xiu laughed as the picture popped up in her head. She asked a few questions regarding her pregnancy and announced, "Yao Yao, I'm coming to Y City next week. Let's hang out together."

Hearing her friend's words, Li Qin Yao's eyes brightened. "Un. Good. I think I might die from boredom after staying at home for too long. Let's go out somewhere."

"Didn't you say you're as big as a watermelon? You still wanted to go out somewhere?"

"The doctor said I should exercise and walk around."

"Would your husband allow you to go out with your condition?"

"Why wouldn't he? As long as Nian Ting comes along with me, it should be fine."

Han Yue Xiu had met with Nian Ting the last time and knew that Zhang Yu Han had ȧssigned a guard to protect her friend. Now that Li Qin Yao was carrying a child, of course, he would not let his wife go out without protection.

"Why are you coming over to Y City? Is there something wrong with your apartment?"

"No. I have some other matter to settle with." A thought crossed her mind and Han Yue Xiu was suddenly in a daze. She patted at her cheeks and spoke again, "Anyway, I will tell you when I meet you."

The two friends chatted for a while until someone came to ring the doorbell. 

Auntie Su helped to open the door and soon, Liang Sheng walked in. The bespectacled man greeted Li Qin Yao before he took out a few documents from his backpack. Liang Sheng showed her a few pictures of the construction progress and the two discussed a bit about work.

"Are you heading to the Capital City this week?"

Liang Sheng froze upon hearing her question. It took him a few seconds to respond. "Yes. I already booked my flight tonight."

Li Qin Yao raised a brow. "Don't you usually had a meeting with my grandfather at the weekend?"

"I was going to the headquarters to deal with some matters," Liang Sheng said. Recently, to avoid meeting with Li Mu Chen and deal with her constant harassing, Liang Sheng had rescheduled his meeting with Chairman Li earlier and they would often meet at the headquarters.

"That's good too." Li Qin Yao stood up and walked over to the side and pulled out a paper bag. She passed the bag to Liang Sheng and spoke, "I heard that Li Ming Han's wife gave birth to a baby boy last week. Since you're going to the headquarters, can you help me to pass this to him?"
