Chapter 364 - Qin Yao, You're Amazing

The toothless smile lasted for five seconds before it disappeared and the baby continued to sleep. Once he had snapped out of his trance, Zhang Yu Han then bent his head to kiss his daughter's forehead. The smell of a newborn baby entered his nose and he found that he might get addicted to it.

Xu Yilan who happened to see this rare moment smiled along. At the thought that she was now a grandmother to that small baby, Xu Yilan suddenly felt a sting in her eyes.

After a while, the nurse took the baby from Zhang Yu Han's embrace and took her to another room where she will be placed for observation.

"I will go with the nurse to look at the baby," Xu Yilan said as she patted at her son-in-law's shoulder. "You wait here and look after Yao Yao." Anyway, her daughter had just given birth and Xu Yilan was sure that the couple would want to spend their time alone for a while.

Zhang Yu Han nodded. "Hmm, I know. Thanks, mom." He watched as his mother-in-law trailed after the nurse and shifted his attention back to the delivery room to wait for his wife.

Once Li Qin Yao was pushed out from the delivery room, Zhang Yu Han immediately went to her side. Looking at her pale and tired face, Zhang Yu Han frowned as he began to worry. He held her hand and asked, "Are you alright?"

Li Qin Yao replied to him with a weak smile. "I'm alright. I'm just tired."

The nurse helped to push her into a room and she was transferred to the hospital bed. Once the nurse and everyone else had left, Zhang Yu Han went to the bed and ċȧrėssed his wife's face gently before he leaned to kiss her forehead. "You worked hard. Qin Yao, you're amazing."

However, the words did not reach her ear. Because she was too tired, Li Qin Yao quickly fell into a deep sleep.

When Li Qin Yao woke up again, she looked around and saw Zhang Yu Han sitting on the sofa just beside her bed. He had his arms crossed on his ċhėst as he laid there. Even though she could not see his face, Li Qin Yao knew that he was trying to get a quick nap.

Li Qin Yao tried to move her body a little bit and a soft mȯȧn escaped her as she felt the pain in the lower part of her body.

Once he heard her voice, Zhang Yu Han stood up and approached her bed. "Qin Yao! You're awake. How are you feeling?"

Seeing the anxious look on his face, Li Qin Yao gave him a smile. "I'm hungry."

Zhang Yu Han chuckled at her words. He walked over to the side table and took the soup thermos. "Yu Ying came over with Wei Jun Hao earlier to deliver this. Auntie Wu cooked this soup once she heard that you're in labor." He poured the hot soup into a bowl and helped to feed his wife. "Careful. It's hot."

Because she had used too much energy to give birth, Li Qin Yao finished the soup quickly even though it was slightly hot. Once the soup filled her stomach, Li Qin Yao felt that she had regained her energy. "Where is the baby?"

"She's in the baby's room. Yu Ying and Wei Jun Hao are looking over her," Zhang Yu Han said. "Should I call the nurse to bring her here?"

"Un." Li Qin Yao nodded. "I miss her."

Zhang Yu Han walked out of the room and called the nurse to bring their daughter inside. Then, he went back to his wife's side.

"How long have I been sleeping?"

He planted a kiss on the top of her head and buried his nose into her hair for a few seconds longer. "Almost five hours. If you're tired you should sleep more."

"Not tired," Li Qin Yao shook her head. "I just wanted to see our daughter first." She had looked at her daughter and held her briefly after the baby had come out. Now, she was missing her daughter.

Li Qin Yao cupped his face with her hands and stared at his face. Her thumb ran through the black rim under his eyes. "It looks like you haven't been sleeping much yourself."

Zhang Yu Han answered to her with a smile. "Your mom came over once she heard that you were in labor, but I sent her back to rest after she had stayed here for a night. She said she will come back again in the afternoon." He tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. "My mom and dad should be on the flight back."

Li Qin Yao looked at her husband with her eyes widened. "Wasn't they supposed to fly back the day after tomorrow?"

"Once they heard that you have given birth, the two got too excited to meet their granddaughter," Zhang Yu Han said. "They ditched their work and booked the earliest flight back."

Five minutes later, a nurse walked in, pushing the hospital baby cart. Knowing that the nurse was going to let Li Qin Yao feed the baby, Zhang Yu Ying and Wei Jun Hao who tagged along choose to wait outside.

"Have you decided on the baby's name yet?" Li Qin Yao asked.

"I was planning to let Grandfather name her," Zhang Yu Han said. "What do you think?"

Li Qin Yao quickly agreed. "I'm alright with that."

Zhang Yu Han went over to his wife and sat on the edge of the bed. His arms moved to embrace her shoulder and the couple watched at their daughter together.

Seeing the way the baby was suċkɨnġ the milk greedily, Zhang Yu Han poked at her chubby cheek and looked at his wife. "Our daughter is just like you."

Li Qin Yao raised a brow at his comment and waited for him to continue.

"Just look at how greedy she is," Zhang Yu Han pointed out. "I'm guessing that our daughter will grow up to be a foodies just like you."

Li Qin Yao chuckled at his comment.

Just as she had finished feeding her daughter and was properly dressed, Zhang Yu Han went out to call his sister in. Surprisingly, Qi Zheng and Doctor Qiao were waiting outside as well.

"Is the mother done with feeding?" Doctor Qiao asked.

Zhang Yu Han nodded before he let both Doctor Qiao and Qi Zheng in. The two then studied Li Qin Yao's report together before Doctor Qiao pulled at the curtains to check on her wound.

Seeing that there was no problem with her wound, Doctor Qiao announced that Li Qin Yao should be able to leave the hospital if there was no other problem or complication.
