Chapter 384 - Absurd and Unforgivable

Ever since she was a little girl, Li Mu Chen was very well-liked by everyone around her. Because her father was always in the army, her grandfather especially adored her. He would spend most of his time with her and often praised and spoiled her. Even when Li Qin Yao and her family were living with their grandparents, her grandfather would always pamper her the most.

Everything seemed to change when they turned fourteen. 

Her first uncle and aunt were divorced and suddenly, her grandfather had pampered her less. Every time Li Qin Yao was around, her grandfather seemed to forget her existence and would focus on her cousin.

The only thing she can do was to talk to the group of girls their age to ignore Yao Yao.

Whenever she recalled the desolate look on her cousin's face, Li Mu Chen was delighted.

But then, their grandfather had to make her unhappy when he told her to share all the good things with her cousin. Everything that belongs to her, why should she share it? What makes matters worst was when her grandfather had given Yao Yao her a bag that she had wanted. Her grandpa knew that she wanted it. She had told him a few times and yet, he bought them and gave it to her cousin!

Their grandpa would often compare their studies. Li Qin Yao was always praised. She was the most obedient and smartest. Just because Li Qin Yao had decided to study something that was related to the company business just like her brother, their grandpa was biased towards her.

So what if Yao Yao's parents were divorced? Does that give her the right to snatch everything that belonged to her?

Since her cousin snatched everything from her, Li Mu Chen vowed to take everything back. No matter if it was their grandpa's affection or any men who had liked her!

No one knew how happy she was when their grandpa had lost his trust in her cousin after the accident in the construction site years ago. The disappointed look on their grandfather's face Since then, her grandpa had returned to her and would pamper her the most.

Li Mu Chen did not expect that this happiness would end so soon. She did not know what makes her grandfather changed his mind when he decided to forgive her cousin and brought her back to the company. Li Mu Chen was furious when she heard that Li Qin Yao was going to handle an important project in B City. She knew what will happen when Yao Yao succeed. Their grandpa would soon forget her again!

Her cousin now has everything. Their grandpa's trust, a good position in the company, and a good man. 

Just because Yao Yao's parents were divorced, she had harmed her family and caused her parents to divorce. Her mother, Zhao Wei was put behind bars and her father had abandoned them. Everyone was pitying Li Qin Yao for what she had gone through all those years, but what about her? No one had pitied her at all.

Li Qin Yao stood at the slightly opened door and her hand that was about to push the door open dropped to her sides. 

She had come to meet Li Mu Chen and ask the questions that have been haunting her for years. Surprisingly, her grandfather had arrived earlier and she happened to hear everything.

In the end, Li Mu Chen did everything because she was jealous? Just because of something so small, she was willing to harm others? 

Perhaps Li Mu Chen had turned out like this because of her parents. Her father was always absent and would always be so fierce at her whenever he was around. Although her mother would always pamper her, Zhao Wei's top priority has always been her work and the company. 

No matter what was Li Mu Chen's reason, and how she turned to be the way she was, Li Qin Yao could not sympathize with it.

Although it was hard to believe that Li Mu Chen would want to hurt her just because of these reasons, Li Qin Yao knew that sometimes, feelings and emotions were very complicated things.

Anger and jealousy would drive people to do the craziest things.

She had heard of how a jealous wife had splashed acid to her husband, and a mother-in-law who pushed her pregnant daughter-in-law off the stairs due to jealousy. It shouldn't be too surprising that Li Mu Chen would do these things. 

However, since she had dared to harm people, Li Mu Chen deserved to accept her punishment.

Li Qin Yao snapped out of her trance when she felt a gentle squeeze on her shoulder. She raised her head and saw the saddened look on her grandfather's face. Then, she turned around and whispered to Zhang Yu Han, "Let's go."

Zhang Yu Han had thought that she was going to enter the room, however, Li Qin Yao turned around and headed towards the exit after telling the officers not to mention her presence to her grandfather.

The couple returned to their vehicle and Zhang Yu Han helped his wife into the car. He slid into the driver's seat and turned to his wife. "You're not going to meet her anymore?"

"I have already found the answer I was looking for," Li Qin Yao gave him a weak smile. "Besides, grandpa would be embarrassed if he found out that we had stayed and listened to their conversation."

A long sighed escaped her as she recalled the look on her grandfather's face.

Li Qin Yao could guess that her grandfather was going to blame himself for what had happened to Li Mu Chen. Although her grandfather had announced that he was going to disown Li Mu Chen, Li Qin Yao was not worried if her grandfather was going to change his mind.

After all, Li Mu Chen was his favorite granddaughter.

Even if her grandfather would change his mind, Li Qin Yao was not going to care about it. 

Anyway, she had a bunch of people who cared and loved her. Even if she was not as close to her paternal grandfather, she would still have another grandfather.

After marrying Zhang Yu Han, Li Qin Yao had gained herself a new family.

Zhang Jing might be her grandfather-in-law, but he had treated her just like the way he treated his granddaughter. The two of them could have a long chat about everything and share their love for food. 

Her in-laws had treated her warmly and everything was more than she could ask for. She had a complete family. A husband that loved her dearly and a cute daughter.

As the thought crossed her mind, Li Qin Yao leaned her head on Zhang Yu Han's shoulder as he continued to drive back towards the hotel.
