Chapter 434 - Side Story 6: Song Yi

The first time Song Yi had met Han Yue Xiu, the girl came to be interviewed at his company. 

He saw her resume and thought that although she was someone who did not have a lot of experience, he liked the way she was very enthusiastic when she was explaining her knowledge.

When he started his business, Song Yi decided not to use his family influence to win over his project. Moreover, what he wanted to do was something that his family did not agree on and therefore, Song Yi had no other choice but to work his way up.

As he was starting his company, Song Yi only had a few staff. Han Yue Xiu was a fast learner and she had worked hard. Seeing how she was eager to learn, Song Yi had a very good impression on her.

Because the salary was pretty good and she liked working with Song Yi and his company, Han Yue Xiu had done everything she can to please her boss. She was someone who did not complain very much and was willing to work overtime.

As time goes by, Song Yi was used to seeing this hardworking girl around him, and without realizing it, he had done a lot of things to make sure that she would stay around him. He handed her more work and had asked her to stay for overtime. He was the person who had nurture Han Yue Xiu's talent and after a while, he began to trust her a lot.

However, after too much overtime and workload, Han Yue Xiu began to resent her boss. She loved working for the company, but too much overtime was too tiring.

Therefore, Han Yue Xiu came out with a trick. She tried to trick Song Yi by handing over her resignation letter in hope that she can discuss with him a new condition that would benefit her.

Being in the office where Han Yue Xiu was not around, Song Yi began to notice that something was amiss. He had thought that coming over to work was not as fun. He was angry that Han Yue Xiu had suddenly decided to quit. But after a few days, Song Yi began to realize that he loved having Han Yue Xiu around.

This was why he had come to find Han Yue Xiu and agreed to her terms as long as she agreed to come back and work for him.

Seeing that this girl had returned to the office, Song Yi was contented. Whenever she was not around, he would not be at ease. After giving it a long thought, Song Yi figured out that he might have feelings for Han Yue Xiu. Therefore, whenever Han Yue Xiu was not around, he would do anything to make her stay with him. 

At one night, when the two of them were working overtime to resolve the problem with their server, Song Yi had suddenly leaned forward and kissed Han Yue Xiu. He liked the girl and had thought that perhaps, she had shared the same feelings towards him.

Song Yi did not think that Han Yue Xiu would be so heartless to tender her resignation immediately and had chosen to hide from him. With Han Yue Xiu missing by his side, Song Yi was lost. He could not function without her by his side.

He did not know that Han Yue Xiu would be this upset when he decided to kiss her. It has never occurred to him that Han Yue Xiu did not like him the way he had thought. After spending a lot of time together, Song Yi had thought that Han Yue Xiu had liked him. Or else, why would she be willing to work overtime and had even pulled out a trick on him and convinced him to make her stay?

Song Yi had spent a lot of time searching for Han Yue Xiu, but no matter what, he could not find her.

It was at this time that Song Yi had tried a lot of tricks to make Han Yue Xiu return. He had spent his time with her for years and understood her temperament. The company could be said as the hard work between the two of them. Song Yi knew that Han Yue Xiu would not bear to see this company go down and therefore, he pulled a few tricks just to find her again.

Song Yi finally found Han Yue Xiu again in Country S. But he did not expect that after confessing to her that he had liked her, Han Yue Xiu would tell him that he did not like him and would prefer if he did not appear on her side again.

Song Yi was heartbroken. He liked her more than he had thought. He did not like to see her unhappy face and therefore was prepared to let her go.

It was at this time that he met a new friend, Fu Yi Chen. At that time, the slightly elder man saw that he was standing by the riverbank and had thought that Song Yi wanted to attempt suicide.

After spending his time with Fu Yi Chen, Song Yi began to notice that this man in his early forty was very good with women. He might seem like a playboy but had a very good relationship with his wife. It was at this time that Song Yi had decided to share his love problem with this new friend.

Of course, Fu Yi Chen was very surprised at Song Yi's way of treating the girl he liked. It was at this time that he had become Song Yi's relationship tutor.

Song Yi decided to try and win Han Yue Xiu again and was willing to change. With his new friend's guidance, Song Yi had tried to take things slow.

He went over to Country S again to find Han Yue Xiu and had brought the apartment near her parents to win her.

It was at this time that an accident happened and Han Yue Xiu's mother was taken to the hospital for an illness that she had kept a secret from her daughter.

During this time, Song Yi had kept in touch with Fu Yi Chen and knew that he should stay by Han Yue Xiu's side while knowing to keep his distance.

Little by little, Han Yue Xiu was used to his presence and Song Yi noticed that she did not hate him as much as she did in the past.
