Name:Lucifer's Descendant System Author:
The great goblin did not believe that this human would be so bold as to try to steal from him with this strange skill, but there was nothing he could do to stop it. When he realized that this human had appeared behind him, the pair of daggers had already disappeared from his waist.

Noah, instead of teleporting back to the Blessed, used this opportunity to stab both sides of the Boss's chest with the pair of daggers he stole. The goblin, who no longer had short-range weapons to defend himself, used his ability instantly when he felt the blades penetrate his unprotected ribs.

Noah knew that staying there would be dangerous, as the Boss could reappear at some blind spot and shoot him before he knew what had happened, so once again he used the [Hell Tunneling] ability to return to the Blessed group. Upon appearing among them with another burst of flame, Noah shouted at a Blessed man who was holding a knife and threw one of the daggers at him.

Holding a dagger in each hand would hinder Noah more than it would help, since he was right-handed, not ambidextrous. He was unable to use a dagger in each hand independently; his left hand would be much more dangerous if he only used it to control [Hell Flames].

The man was surprised when he saw the dagger coming towards him, but as Noah had not used much force to throw the dagger, the man was able to easily grab the weapon in the air after dropping his own knife on the ground.

The man who looked like an undead, who had the Blessing that improved his vision by making him predict a few milliseconds in the future, suddenly released his bowstring and fired at a building where there was nothing.

Before Noah could process the man's action, the Boss appeared in that place releasing an arrow from his bow. Without reaction time, the Boss was unable to dodge the arrow of the Blessed man which penetrated chest without warning.

For the first time, the Boss screamed in pain during the battle. The arrow had penetrated the skin of the great goblin who had already been lightly burned by Noah's flames, making his skin just fragile enough for this to happen.

Noah was running low on energy after having teleported so many times. From what he could feel of his own energy he knew he would be able to teleport just one more time and shoot another fireball. If his fireball hit the Boss and managed to burn him, it would regenerate Noah's energy, but if Noah did this and the Boss used his skill while on fire, Noah's flames would disappear for lack of fuel and Noah would become an easy target. So this time, instead of teleporting to the boss again, he just watched from afar.

None of the Blessed Ones even took their eyes off the Boss to look at the woman; they knew she was already dead by the time her scream was interrupted, so no one dared to take their eyes off the Boss for fear of becoming the next target.

The only one who took his eyes off the Boss for a while was Noah, who looked away from the Boss to Abigail and started to regret leaving her alive. He had thought that killing her would not be very advantageous, since he believed that no one else would die in the group, but as two people had already died, if he had let her die, now at least 20% of the group would already be dead. But life could not be solved with "ifs".

The Boss disappeared again, but unlike Noah's flame, when the great goblin disappeared, the archer's arrow disappeared along with him which meant that when the boss would appear again, he would still have the arrow stuck in his chest. This was not the best news that the group could receive, since it was common knowledge that when receiving a penetration, removing the penetrating object would intensify the wound by increasing the amount of blood lost.

But the cut meant something else for Noah. As well as in his fight against the Super Boss, where the Blesseds' attacks created cuts on the Boss that opened more vulnerable spaces for Noah to burn and cause more damage, this man's arrow opened that first hole he could use to burn more of the Boss.

"He is probably running out of energy after using so much of his ability. Prepare to attack with full force the next time he appears as the time when he will no longer be able to use the ability is close," Jasper shouted at the group.

Just as he warned, after using his own ability to dodge spells and arrows three more times, the Boss this time did not use it again to dodge attacks. Every time he appeared he shot an arrow instantly at the group, but having learned from the two previous deaths, now Abigail used her own Blessing to deflect the arrow's direction from the Boss and make him narrowly miss his target. This saved two lives of the Blessed.

Seeing her usefulness helped assuage Noah's regret for letting her survive. Now he just felt a slight urge to test his flame on her.

Assuming that the Boss apparently could no longer use his own ability to dodge attacks, the Blessed began to attack the goblin with full force. The archers fired, the mages used their own spells, while the warriors ran towards the Boss to finally finish the battle.

The only one who was not attacking the boss was Noah who wanted to wait until the last moment to reap the maximum benefits for his own skill without taking unnecessary risks.
