Chapter 165: Travel

Name:Lucifer's Descendant System Author:
To leave, Noah had to unsummon the imps, since in addition to not wanting to stain his car with monster blood and sweat that the imps brought, his car only had two seats, which made it impossible to ride with so many monsters in so little space.

But when he got home, Noah summoned an imp to load the armor from the trunk of the car straight into the laundry room, where he was also instructed to wash the armor in detail by Noah's mental commands.

This was in addition to the unicorn saddle, which had been brought along with the Boss's armor between the pieces so that no one would notice that something like that was also taken out of the Fortress.

Noah had noticed how hot the Boss unicorn was, probably that saddle was essential to be able to ride a fire Boss as hot as that unicorn, even for him who could control the flames of Hell.

'Imps are even more practical than I imagined!' Noah thought as he saw the little imp trying to load the heavy armor into the trunk piece by piece. He was happily not afraid of the imp damaging the armor, since the metal was so resistant that to really dent it, he would have to use a lot of force. At most, it would leave a few scratches, but it was not as if the armor didn't already have countless scratches because of the Boss's long time of use.

After preparing meals for himself, Lilith, Terrence and the unicorn, Noah ate with the two who were in good health, and after finishing eating, he set aside a large meal for the unicorn and took it to the backyard of the house.

He didn't want to leave the big unicorn at the front of the house, so even though the backyard was more enclosed and with less stuff for the unicorn to watch, Noah still chose to take him there.

With a simple wave of his hand, a fire portal appeared, which allowed the unicorn to cross and lie down in a comfortable position (in order not to over-strain his injuries) and look around with great curiosity.

Just by looking at his appearance it was already possible to see that he was much better. Apparently staying in hell had healed a few of his injuries. He would probably still need a few more weeks in hell, as well as probably several healing sessions with [Healing Flames] to get back to the peak state. But Noah was willing to do that; even if it took time, he knew it would be worth it.

Who in the whole city of Eyrin had a Boss Rank D as a pet? It was no longer enough for Terrence to be a Boss Rank E in his arsenal, now Noah had a Boss Rank D, who might even reach Rank C in the future. A Rank C Boss usually needed a group of at least 10 Blessed Rank C to be about to deal with it. Noah was getting excited just thinking that he might have a monster like that for himself someday.

"What is it, human?" the unicorn asked through their mental link.

"I just asked you to eat, and I wanted to know your situation, since I don't have much knowledge about the other side," Noah said as he held out the big plate full of food.

Looking at the plate of food, the unicorn was a little confused until a sympathetic expression appeared on his face and he replied, "Ahh, about that, you don't have to worry. I have no need to eat. The only thing I need from time to time is fire, and between us, that place is full of it." His reply was followed by a light laugh.

Hearing his answer, Noah looked at the unicorn's plate again, until he gave a loud whistle.

*Phiiiiiwii*

The unicorn looked at Noah with confusion, but suddenly a bird came flying at high speed from inside the human's house in front of him.

The unicorn was in a very weakened state, but that didn't diminish the majesty of a Boss Rank D, so when he saw the bird coming, instantly the flames around his body started to burn more intensely, which caused the bird to look at him with a hint of curiosity for a few seconds before turning back to the plate and ignoring the unicorn altogether, as if the plate of food was much more important than the unicorn.

Strangely, different from what the unicorn imagined, the bird did not really care about him, and started eating the food on that plate at a physically impossible speed, even for a Rank E monster like it was.

Confused, the unicorn looked at the human in front of him, trying to get some explanation for what was happening, but the only thing he noticed was that the human was looking at that bird thinking it was funny, as if it were something completely common with him.

'It may even be truly common. He already won me over, a Boss Rank D, winning over weaker monsters is natural. I shouldn't be surprised to see him with a Rank E monster like that bird,' the unicorn deduced while watching the interaction of the two.

"Well, since you feed on flames, do you think you'd rather stay in hell?" Noah asked with a hand on his chin, thoughtfully.

"I believe so, at least during these first few days. The flame over there is accelerating my recovery rate by a considerable margin. Although it is very good for me to stay there all day surrounded by flames, your world interests me a lot; I wish I could come around from time to time, mainly to kill my boredom," the unicorn replied, which Noah readily agreed to.

With another wave of his hand, Noah sent the unicorn back to hell through a portal while thinking that calling him "unicorn" all the time was not practical. 'Perhaps I should think of a satisfactory name for him in the future ... something like Maybe THAT is a good name...? I really have a talent for naming things!' Noah thought with satisfaction. But… he still hadn't decided yet on what the unicorn's name would be, of course if he didn't already have one, which Noah didn't remember to ask, and he wasn't going to call the Boss back just for that.

If the unicorn had known what Noah was thinking, and what the name options available for him were, surely he would have tried to rebel to kill Noah. Such a name would not impose fear in anyone, especially with such a bulky, awkward name. Before he could announce his name at the beginning of a war, all the combatants might have already died of old age even though some might be almost immortal.

Noah didn't know the danger he was in when thinking of a name like that for the unicorn, but to distract him from that thought, his phone started to ring.

*Ring, Ring, Ring!*

Looking at the screen, Noah saw that it was Carlos, his great friend who had recently been helping him with some projects.

"Hello blondie, how are you?" Noah was in a good mood because of the 'incredible' name he had come up with, in addition to all the possibilities he saw for his own future, so with the intimacy they had, Noah laughed at Carlos while taking the call.

Hearing Noah's tone, Carlos joined in the joke and responded, "What is it, Emo? Are you jealous of my colored hair? With black hair like yours, it would be just a dream to have hair as flashy as mine, I know, hahaha!"

Hearing Carlos call him Emo, Noah chuckled. He remembered his high school days, when his friends had called him emo because he almost always dressed in black, as well as having very white skin with straight pitch black hair. "Talking like that even reminds me of school. When is the class reunion date again?" Noah asked curiously.

Hearing what Noah said, Carlos on the other end of the call, in a voice that clearly demonstrated the surprise he felt, answered, "I believe that it's in a few weeks, I don't remember the exact date, why? Did you happen to decide to go? Are you finally no longer a workaholic? Glory to the gods!"

Hearing Carlos's tone that became more and more false, Noah answered,

"I thought I'd give it a try. Initially I didn't want to go because I thought I would need to invade Fortresses during the date to be able to pay my bills, but now with Maggy's treatment already underway, and with my imps that will probably work for me even if I don't invade the Fortresses, it opens up a little free time on the agenda for things like that," Noah replied.

"That's great! I'll check my calendar for you and let you know the right date. With your car, maybe even Petter can't compete hehe." Carlos laughed when he apparently imagined Petter's expression when he'd see Noah.

Petter was the lucky Blessed man in their class who had sparked a Rank B Blessing. From what Noah knew of his personality, unlike Marcel who also had a Rank B Blessing, but spent several years perfecting himself in the low ranks, Petter probably must have tried to move up the ranks as quickly as possible, but on a fragile basis. Carlos said that Peter would come for their reunion, which Noah was not initially excited about before the last couple weeks. After all, he knew that the chance of him being humiliated there was very high; it was common knowledge that his Blessing was useless.

But things were different now; Noah was very confident in his strength even though he might have to deal with Petter.

Snapping Noah out of his daydreams, Carlos said on the other end of the call, "What's up? Are you ready for our trip?"

Hearing Carlos's question, Noah answered promptly. "Sure!"

This trip was scheduled some time ago, after all, they were training at Valorwatch precisely for that.

Finally the day of the championship had arrived. Lucifer would finally go public and fight in front of millions of people watching, while Noah would try to follow Maggy's advice to the fullest by trying to have as much fun as possible during that upcoming occasion.
