Right after Noah split from the blessed group, it didn't take long before he encountered another group of monsters.
Before, Noah was just focusing on the big boss monsters, which even though they were very strong, after a while of confrontation eventually died to Noah. But now that he was alone, it would be more work to deal with these monsters without anyone's help.
Fortunately Noah was not alone. With a wave of the hand, 9 pentagrams appeared on the ground, 7 imps, 1 unicorn and 1 bird emerged from these pentagrams.
The seven imps and the unicorn were to help Noah kill the monsters. The imps because they could die infinitely, and the unicorn because it was also a Rank C monster.
But the bird, Terrence, was still just a small low-rank D monster. Noah wasn't going to ask Terrence to help kill the monsters, just to fly over the area and keep tabs on the surrounding situation, informing Noah of any eventuality. In addition to being summoned by Noah, Terrence would also receive Exp for the battle, being able to level up in a short time and unlock another ability.
Lilith was about to level up, but this time she chose to stay at home with Bel, with a concern that even she didn't know she had for the boy, which was greatly aggravated after hearing about his tragic past, and that somehow she was related. To this.
So, Noah just had the 9 monsters and demons in front of him, to deal with a bunch of ghost knights. But these knights were clearly even more powerful than the previous ones, this being highlighted mainly by their armor.
The armor of the first ghost knights they encountered was made of black metal, but strewn with scratches and missing pieces. As for those knights in front of them, the black armor was flawless, without a single scratch, to the point where the black metal could perhaps even be used as a mirror.
'This could be the elite of the guards in that castle.' Noah thought.
But without giving too much away, Noah had to do his best to kill these monsters. Dealing with ghost knights was a lot more work than dealing with spirit monsters and ghosts, as no Noah's magic was useful against it.
*Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf *
Rather than attacking each monster a bit, Noah began a sequence of fast teleports focusing on just a single weaker ghost knight, leaving their leader for later.
Noah's idea was to get rid of the weaker monsters quickly, and with the power source of the corpse of those knights, fight the leader.
The only way to get energy from these knights was to kill them and rip off a piece of armor, leaving their skin exposed. So Noah focused on the weaker knight.
Meanwhile, the imps fanned out to get the attention of the other knights and started running around in a disorganized way, just wanting to attract the attention of these monsters until Noah killed the first knight.
The unicorn, with the pride of being a Rank D Boss monster, and rising to Rank C, was not content with these weaker knights and focused its attention especially on the leader.
The unicorn's quick and powerful charge managed to damage the leader's armor a little, but this came at the cost of some injuries.
At this point the unicorn was starting to think of another strategy, until one of the imps jumped on its back and started using fire to heal the unicorn's wounds.
This surprised the big monster, as he had clearly seen that Noah was focused on finishing killing that weak knight. 'This little devil is smarter than I thought.' The unicorn thought with satisfaction as he let the imp sit on his back.
Now, without having to worry about the leader's injuries, the unicorn could run carelessly and fearlessly attack that leader long enough for Noah to come deal with it.
After Noah killed the first knight, the energy provided by it made the [Fire Claws] even more intense, making the claws sharper by not having to worry about mana consumption, and increasing the kill speed even more. Noah.
While the first knight Noah took 100 seconds to kill, the second knight died in 60 seconds, the third died in 40 seconds, the fourth died in 30 seconds, and when the leader of the knights noticed, Noah already had giant claws for hands , while his armor was red both from fire and from the blood of those knights.
The leader was alone, and with some unicorn wounds, which made the battle between him and Noah much faster than the monster's pride wanted it to be.
"Good job guys." Noah said with a smile, which was unfortunately covered by the armor's helmet.
Hearing Noah's praise, the imps started jumping for joy, before going to rip off the helmets of these knights to eat the eyes of those soulless bodies.
As for the imp with the [Fire Claws] skill, Noah left 4 of the 5 essences they got from these monsters for this little guy, as he was the one who could enjoy it the most, before handing the remaining essence to the imp who could use [Hell Tunneling], who was shaping up to be an assassin, while imp Healer would have to root for them to find monsters with mana essences for him.
Noah looked at this group of little red-skinned demons eating the eyes of the soulless bodies of the ghost knights and grinned, finding the scene very cute, like a young teacher having fun caring for the class of kids at the school she worked for.
Just as the teacher saw the children making cute drawings, Noah thought the imps eating eyes were also very cute.
'Maybe I should start tearing my enemies' eyes out to save for the imps? They seem to like it a lot... wait, what do you mean only 2 imps died? They are Rank E-D monsters, dealing against Rank C monsters did they manage to survive?! Maybe it's because of those eyes they eat...?' Noah wondered mentally, deciding to take a test.
