20 CHAPTER 20 : Come up with roses.

"So, how is she doing?"

"Jie Ge! Can you please don't surprise Yun Yue like that?!", out of nowhere Long Jie asked the newly arrived little princess.

"Sorry about that. So how is she?", he still persistently asking his little cousin.

"Ge, Jie Jie is okay. We chat, play, cook and eat together", Yun Yue keep on walking. "Ge, in the meantime, it's not like you is it? If anyone see Gege like this, wouldn't they be disappointed?", huffing, little princess walk away. 'Why can't he just be honest to jie jie?', Yun yue thought.

Looking at that small back, Long Jie is frustrated. He send his little cousin to check up on Li Xi Rui because he couldn't go see her freely anymore. It's the first time he fall for someone. He just didn't know what to do.

He thought he should go back to HQ to take his mind of Li Xi Rui for a moment. He couldn't function properly and will be coming back to the capital once he reorganized his thought.

At Qilin sect HQ~

"Ah~~~ our cold face head sect master has finally returned. Welcome back!", Rui Sheng look up from the scroll he currently read.

"Cease with your sarcasm Sheng. I need help", Long Jie collapse on the other chair at the side.

"Finally 'someone' seek my help. Now, as the sect master come here and do your job. That is if you want to know what she is up to", Rui Sheng stand up fron the chair he occupied.

Without much choice, Long Jie sit and read the scrolls for a few hours.

"That's the last one. Now, quickly tell me!", Long Jie close the scroll and look at Rui Sheng who is currently sipping some tea.

"Now, now, don't be hasty. Take out the paper", Rui Sheng put his tea cup down.

Thinking for a while, Long Jie remembered the paper he stole from Xi Rui's room. Taking the paper out of his robe, he unfolded it.

"Cross the first one", Rui Sheng said.

Taking the brush, Long Jie crossed the first paragraph.

"As the first event have been successfully avoided, then the second event should occur probably tonight", Rui Sheng slowly picking up some sweets.

"Sheng, you must know about the glass orb. Tell me why would someone want to steal it?", Long Jie turned serious.

"I must not mention it before.. well, it occurred long ago. When Caishen (God of prosperity) descended to the earth secretly, the Li's ancestor happened to help him. At that time, the country was in war and nobody had the mean to help anyone else. Despite having objection from the other family members, Li ancestor invite Caishen in his human form to live and treat him as a guest. Caishen couldn't carelessly use his power as to hide himself from the jade emperor. Grateful, Caishen give Li ancestor the glass orb before he left. Apparently he said, he got the orb from Siming (God of fate) himself and should use it if he failed his secret mission. But because of Li ancestor, he finished his mission with ease and wanted to return the favor. Nobody know exactly what the orb can do but it has been in the Li's hand for generations" Rui Sheng elaborated.

"It must hold some tremendous power", Long Jie said to no one particular.

Nodding his head, Rui sheng add, "If what she wrote is true, there will be an accident in Minister Lu's house today. Maybe you should tell someone to go and see?". Rui Sheng himself know what Li Xi Rui wrote is the truth. 'Hurm, Li Xi Rui... maybe this cousin in law should go and see his future sister in law someday'. After all, they're both in the same boat.

"Fine, I will tell someone to go and see but... you haven't tell me about her yet", Long Jie probed.

"Ah~ as expected, Jie wouldn't forget about his flower. Well, is it better for you if I say 'the flower is a bit shaken?' . Maybe it's better if I say it's 'come up roses?'", Rui Sheng smiled.

"Sheng, isn't it better if you just said, she feels a bit grateful to me?", Long Jie sighed. His cousin is just a lot of work.

"Jie, isn't it fun to watch people's reaction?", Rui Sheng answered with a question.

"It is certainly fun for you but for the victim I could only feel sorry", looking up at his cousin, Long Jie quickly write a letter for Jie Yi to carry out the order.

"Maybe I should tell you, your flower is on her way to the Lu residence?", Rui sheng observed Long Jie's reaction.

Without saying anything, Long Jie disappear from his sight. "People's reaction is really fun to watch. But yours are the funniest Jie", Rui Sheng lift his tea cup and drinking his tea leisurely. He has some free time now as Long Jie completed all the work.

In shen hour (15:00-17:00) 2 ladies are seen walking along the empty street.

"Miss, Xiao Xi thinks we should go back. This is not a good idea", Xiao Xi try to stop Li Xi Rui.

"Xiao Xi, I haven't see my dear friend for a while now. Can't you be lenient a bit today? Usually it would be you who keep encouraging this miss to do this and that", Li Xi Rui pulled Xiao Xi.

"Miss, Xiao Xi is wrong! Xiao Xi would never do that again. Now please? Can we go home?", Xiao xi insists.

"It will be just for a minute", Li Xi Rui insists.

"Miss Li? What are you doing here?", the voice startled Li Xi Rui and Xiao Xi.

Turning herself slowly, she saw the handsome features she sometimes unconsciously thinks about. "Greeting 2nd prince, this miss is on her way to visit her friend", Li Xi Rui explained.

"It will be dangerous for a young lady to be alone at this hour. Let this prince escort miss Li", Long Jie doesn't leave room to negotiate. He steps in front of her. After he rescued her the previous night, his demeanor seems a bit gentle. Li Xi Rui is still guarded but she thought the changes occurred because of the change in the events.
