47 CHAPTER 47 : Green with jealousy

Going out from the mansion, Li Xi Rui suddenly stops walking. It seems like there is someone else who didn't believe the rumor. 'Why is this man still pestering me?', Li Xi Rui rolls her pretty eyes.

"And to what do I owe this honor of your presence, your highness?", Li Xi Rui looked at the man obstructing her way into her carriage.

"Li Xi Rui, I never thought you are that kind of woman!", he gritted his teeth while his eyes is blazed with fury.

"Oh, and what kind of woman am I your highness? Do tell, this miss is truly interested", Li Xi Rui taunted him.

"When did you become this shameless? Do you really want to attract my attention this bad? Fine, then you could ask the emperor to cancel your engagement with my brother. I will consider you as my concubine", Long Qing didn't believed Li Xi Rui is willing to marry Long Jie by her own free will.

"Oh, but crown prince, isn't that your own fault?", Li Xi Rui smirked. How could she didn't see how pathetic this man before? Was she that blind? Turning away from the mad man in front of her, she started to walk to her carriage.

"Wait! You are not going anywhere!", Long Qing gripped her arm and tugged her. Her veiled hat flew from the top of her hat exposing her delicate face and pale skin. Eunuch Rong is now sweating so much because the crowd has started to gather. Long Qing is stunned. Li Xi Rui had become more beautiful each time he saw her.

"Let me go! Have some dignity your highness!", Li Xi Rui try to escape from that iron grip. She is starting to feel hurt. But before she could shout profanity at the crown prince, another hand took her away and she falls into a warm embrace. Recognizing the familiar smells, she starts to act pitiful.

"Jie, it hurts~", she let a tear drop falls on her cheek.

Long Jie had been stunned when he heard that whining voice. Li Xi Rui had never used that kind of voice. When he saw that tear drop, he almost collapses from heart attack. Then Li Xi Rui let her head fall on his chest in front of the crowd and his own brother. What can he do besides getting stiff with wide eyes looking at the woman in his embrace? This is the first time she do did this in her own accord without him trying to coax her.

"What are you both doing?!", Long Qing couldn't believe his eyes. His own brother and Li Xi Rui are hugging each other in public! Clenching his fists, he almost spit blood!

Looking over at the green face crown prince, Li Xi Rui becomes bolder. "Jie, why did you came late? I miss you!", she buried herself deeper into his embrace. Then as if just acknowledging the crown prince presence, she said, "I'm just embracing my fiancée. Is that a problem crown prince?".

Long Qing wanted to tear them both apart. He had believed Li Xi Rui is not willing to marry his brother and his brother couldn't go against the emperor. That was what he had believed! But the scene in front of him make him realized something. His brother and Li Xi Rui have been in relationship. Staggering from his standing position, Eunuch Rong holds him.

Long Jie had wanted to help his brother but seeing the dagger thrown from Long Qing's eyes, he hesitated. This is the first time his brother shows so much enmity towards him.

"Your highness!", Eunuch Rong become worried. "Faster! Ride faster to the palace!", Eunuch Rong ordered. The crown prince's face becomes pale.

While in front of the Li residence, Xiao Xi and the Li's guards dispersed the crowds. Long Jie and Li Xi Rui also had stop embracing. Looking at the woman in front of him, Long Jie could only sigh in his heart. He knew, the show she performed is only for the crown prince's entertainment.

Pulling Li Xi Rui in his embrace, he hides her face from the wolves with his body. Without asking for her permission, he carried her to the carriage and sit with her in the carriage.

Xiao Xi who is used to this kind of scene, calmly ordered the coachmen to go to Jian palace without once peeking at her miss. She still wanted to keep her head intact after all.
