459 To Shoot The Beas

"What do you think it is then?" Thunderlord said with a look of distaste, seeing that a rookie like Fearless dared to doubt him.

Fearless shrugged, "How would I know…".

Just as he said this, the Eagle Riding Demonic Ape circled above and rushed down toward Fearless, tossing a rock towards him.

The monster was just a few metres away from Fearless, and with such a big rock, Fearless knew that he had nowhere to run. Thunderlord had a look of glee on his face, but Fearless raised his staff and shielded himself with a red barrier as the rock was repelled.

"You!!".

Upon seeing Fearless repel the rock, Thunderlord had a look of surprise and rage.

He had a venomous look in his eyes, he knew that Fearless had been bluffing this whole time now. Only a veteran could shield himself calmly under such circumstances.

What made him even angrier was that this Priest clearly had the invulnerability skill, but did not use it on him earlier.

What Nine Solitary Spears said just now made sense now.

Fearless did not care about Thunderlord's sour expression, he merely pointed at the creature and shouted, "Attack it!".

Thunderlord said with a face of doubt, "Attack? Can we even hit it?".

Without the rock, the Eagle Riding Demonic Ape was flying extremely fast. Under such circumstances, it would be near impossible to hit skill shots, and by the time single target abilities had finish casting, the monster would be long out of range.

Under system mode, archers couldn't target creatures that were moving at a fast pace. Archers that played in free mode would find it extremely difficult to hit it as well.

But after Fearless gave the command, a ray of lightning struck down onto the creature as its health bar dropped.

It stopped momentarily and winced in pain from the attack, but the Dusk Eagle soon flapped its wings and sped towards the mountain.

Thunderlord stood with his mouth agape, "That bolt of lightning…".

The thunderbolt spell was a skill shot with an instant cast time, but to hit a target moving at such a high speed, one had to have a terrifying predictive ability, even pros would have found it hard.

Even though Thunderlord knew that Ming Du had decent skill, attack prowess and skill shots were two different forms of mechanics. If he could perform both at such a high level, did that mean that he had the potential to match a pro?

The more he though about it, the more ridiculous the situation seemed- how could a small squad such as this one, one that did not even have enough members to enter a dungeon, have such a powerful mage?

"F*ck, are you dumb Ming Du? Why did you go for the ape, aim the eagle!".

"Shut up, I'll hit the eagle the next time," Ming Du replied.

Thunderlord was even more shocked by this exchange. This meant that the previous strike was no fluke, and it also showed that the members of the Quan Zhen Sect were used to Ming Du's power.

"It's coming, you better hit it this time.".

The second Eagle Riding Demonic Ape was not above them.

After circling around, it rushed down and tossed a rock towards them, retreating thereafter.

But everyone was prepared this time. They began moving when the creature approached, dodging the rock when it was tossed.

Just as it was about to fly away, Ming Du unleashed his thunderbolt as it hit the eagle right on the head.

"CAW…".

The eagle let out a shriek as it hovered in the air. The white health bar was instantly depleted as the crowd came to a realisation that the white health bar represented the riding beast's health.

They then turned to look at Thunderlord… magic shield? A bunch of crap.

Seeing that the eagle riding demonic ape had slowed down, Ming Du wanted to unleash a second thunderbolt. But before he could, the ape tugged a feather on the eagle as it sped away, flying out of Ming Du's skill range.

As the creature flew further, Fearless said to the crowd, "Everyone, change your weapons to long range ones, we can fight them later.".

The eagle riding demonic ape was a flying beast, but everyone saw that if the eagle got hit in the sky, it would be stunned for a second or so, allowing the rest to take aim easily.

"Alright.".

Following his command, the masses drew their long ranged weapons, including Nine Solitary Spears and his men. As the main tank and the expert, Thunderlord's bow glistened in a blue light- it was a silver tier equipment.

This was one of the rarest tiers of equipment, everyone's eyeballs almost popped out upon seeing it.

These sorts of weapons were the rarest among the rares, who knew that Thunderlord would have one?

But as Nine Solitary Spears turned to the members of the Quan Zhen Sect, his eyes widened even further.

"My god! Fearless, what's this?".

Fire cannons were secondary weapons, but when coupled with an ice weapon, no bow could match their prowess.

The Quan Zhen Sect's members not only had fire cannons, they had many of them. Especially the one in Wang Yu's hands- one look and one could tell that it was no ordinary weapon.

"F*Ck off!" Fearless replied.

How could Fearless disclose the source of these precious objects? Nine Solitary Spears wasn't even his friends. Even if the one who asked was from the Sanguine Alliance, Fearless wouldn't have told him either.

Nine Solitary Spears raised a middle finger against Fearless as he shut his mouth and looked into the distant sky.

Soon, the eagle riding demonic ape that had stoned Frost Blade to death returned. It repeated the movement of swirling in the air before diving down.

Fearless immediately gave the command, "Strike it!".

"Boom, boom, boom!".

Ming Du unleashed his thunderbolt as the other archers rained their arrows down on the eagle riding demonic ape. The white health bar was vanquished immediately as the eagle let out a shriek and the demonic ape fell from its back.
