605 Rather Die Than Suffer Losses

Even though there were many NPC in Atlanta City, the only strong monsters were the guards at the entrance as well as a few higher-level NPC. The Power of Puppets arising from the two guards resulted in the increase in attributes of the God of Puppets by 1%.

For Wang Yu, a 1% increase in attributes meant a 10% increase in combat ability. However, this was still within the limits of his abilities.

At this moment, the system sent yet another notification.

Dead Spirit City's level -1 and all guilds in Dead Spirit City -1 level.

>'s history records that due to the negligence of Dead Spirit City's players, they were successfully invaded by the Light Faction. Main city's level -1 and shall be downgraded to Dead Spirit Town. The level of weapon in the city -1 and the Dead Spirit City's players' merit points -100.>

"F*ck!"

After the world announcement was played three times, every from Dead Spirit City started cursing. Some of the Dark Faction players even bought the server's loudspeaker to publicly announce how despicable the Light Faction was.

When their main city downgraded into a town, the change in name wasn't the only change. The main city's defence and surface area were also downgraded comparatively. As compared to the previous Dead Spirit City, the current Dead Spirit Town had shrunk into half the size. With a large population like theirs, a small town was definitely not enough to fit everyone in.

To be honest, losing and winning are all part of the game. Normally, they wouldn't be this upset even if they lost. This time, however, they were furious because of how wrongful they felt during the loss. If it was a head-on battle, the few Quan Zhen Sect's players would definitely not be able to win. However, this fellas' so-called 'Invasion War' was basically hide-and-seek. They were constantly running and hiding everywhere like a rat so how could the Dead Spirit City's players feel good about it?

However, why don't they think about it too? Why would a few thousand of them go head-on against the over hundred thousand of them? Doing that would make them the real fool.

Of course, the Golden Axe Metal Horse's players were not as dismayed as compared to the rest of the Dark Faction's players.

Atlanta's Ruins was a high-level dungeon and a hidden scene. With the high drop rate available, the guards at the entrance dropped much higher-end items compared to BOSS in ordinary dungeons.

The opening of this hidden scene resulted in a pleasant surprise for these fellas who believed they have profited from a disaster.

On the Light Faction side, Berserk Thundergod was beyond ecstatic. After all, if they lost this war, the other guilds would merely decrease by one level.

Berserk Heavenlaw was different because they were originally a level 2 guild and was the main guild involved in this faction war. The punishment for losing this war was far more severe than any other guild. If they lost, Berserk Heavenlaw would cease to exist and simultaneously lose their extremely important stronghold, Ironcliff Fortress.

To Berserk Heavenlaw, these losses would definitely be a fatal strike.

Looking at the system announcement, Berserk Thundergod was celebrating for half a minute before managing to calm down. Following that, he sent a message to Fearless.

"F*ck! Boss Fearless, you guys are really able to hold on."

Berserk Thundergod was also aware of the situation at that point in time. When so little of them faced a few hundred thousand enemies under that circumstance, the Quan Zhen Sect shouldn't be able to survive. They would still not stand a chance even if they have 1100 people on their side, let alone 11.

Therefore, if the Quan Zhen Sect failed, Berserk Thundergod would not have anything to complain about. The reality, however, was completely not what they expected.

"En…" Fearless replied faintly.

"Tsk…" Hearing Fearless' tone, a shocked Berserk Thundergod replied, "Unless you already knew that you could win?"

"I didn't know…" Fearless replied without expressing much emotions.

"Then why do you not look happy?" Berserk Thundergod asked out of curiosity. He initially thought that Fearless would be as excited as him.

Fearless frowned as he looked over at the Golden Axe Metal Horse's players celebrating not too far away from him, "I can't be happy!"

"Ah?" Berserk Thundergod was puzzled, "Is it because of Hidden Lurker? Don't worry, we have been guarding the resurrection point very closely. When he comes back online, we will personally let you kill him a few times…" Berserk Thundergod was also not a person who forgives easily. No matter what happened, he was constantly going to bully the dead Hidden Lurker.

"This is none of your business…" Fearless closed the chat immediately after sending this.

"F*ck! Are we going to let them take advantage of this situation?" Looking at how the Golden Axe Metal Horse's players were picking up the good items, Ming Du and co. became jealous.

The Quan Zhen Sect had always been taking advantages of situations so much so that they would rather die than suffer any losses. Staring blankly while other players pick up good items was certainly not their character. This was especially since these fellas were chasing after them. In the Quan Zhen Sect's players' subconsciousness, the items that the Golden Axe Metal Horse's players picked up should belong to Quan Zhen Sect.

Fearless pondered for a while before sneering, "How can we let them take advantage of us? We shall let them be happy for a while. After we wait for them to enter the city's gate, we will teach them a lesson."

After another ten minutes, the four guards at the entrance were finally disposed of. The players from Golden Axe Metal Horse obtained plentiful rewards as they sat in an organised manner at the entrance, waiting for their health to recover.

When less than half of their health was recovered, Vagrant Horse suddenly heard a series of messy footsteps. When he lifted his head to look up, he almost wet his pants as he saw countless NPC killing their way towards them.

Walking in front of these NPC were two Assassins holding onto firearms. They were simultaneously firing towards the two sides of the city as they attracted more NPC to join the formation.

"F*ck! Who are the two Assassins?!" An infuriated Vagrant Horse shouted.

Light and Arrows looked at the direction as he replied, "They are not from our guild and they are from the Light Faction."

"Light Faction? This is bad, we have been tricked! Hurry up and retreat!"

After Vagrant Horse gave out his commands, he was ready to leave with his men. All of a sudden, everyone popped out from a pink fog and stunned Vagrant Horse and his men. They were completely surrounded and trapped. At the same time, the NPCs in the city had already arrived in front of the Golden Axe Metal Horse. Meanwhile, the two Assassins at the front had disappeared without a trace.

"F*ck!" Vagrant Horse knew that he had been tricked, but there was no longer any way out for them to escape now. Since they were going to die either way, they were not willing to die as a good-for-nothing.

Hence, Vagrant Horse simply ordered, "Line up in formation, we shall fight to our deaths and profit with every kill!!"

The players from Golden Axe Metal Horse already had a taste of it earlier on. When Vagrant Horse gave that command, they became extremely motivated to kill even more.

Dying once would merely cost them 10% of their experience. The things that they could pick up before death would definitely not be comparable to this amount of experience.

At the thought of this, the players from Golden Axe Metal Horse had a huge boost to their morales as they exchanged blows directly with the NPC charging at them.

Out of the NPCs in the city, only the entrance guards were considered strong. For their own safety, Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher didn't provoke monsters that were of too high levels. After the Golden Axe Metal Horse's players were fired up to fight, they were really capable of matching these brainless NPC.

"F*ck! These fellas are pretty strong eh? To be able to pick up so many good items. Seems like it will be worth it even if they die now." Ming Du clenched his fist as he was extremely unsatisfied in his heart.

Fearless replied, "Alright, we wouldn't be able to kill these monsters anyway. Wouldn't it be satisfying for us to swoop in to pick up the spoils once they are almost dying?"
