981 Losing Their Money Or Losing Their Lives

These guildless players did not have many fragments left with them and the maximum number was probably tens of thousands of pieces left.

Judging from the situation, it seemed like there were too many main cities outside Twilight City going for the limited number of fragments available.

The other main cities did not have the privilege of having fragments fall from the sky like Twilight City, and the guildless players would not stand a chance with even the players from the small guilds.

Moreover, main cities had huge guilds and their need for fragments would be even higher. With the scarce pieces of around, the big guilds were lacking in fragments to even equip a team and it would be even more impossible to sell the remainders to outside of the guild.

As seen, the fragments from the players inside Twilight City were the main resource of fragments in the entire game.

Ten thousand fragments would cost ten million gold. Though this was an enormous figure, it was still way under what Wang Yu had estimated.

"How much money do we have after combining?" Wang Yu thought and asked.

Players from Quan Zhen Sect were all considered to be pretty well off and could provide for themselves daily. According to everyone's recent income, it was possible for everyone to fork up at least ten thousand.

However, gold coins depreciate over time, and everyone would keep extras just for incase and then sell the rest into cash. Hence, the cash they have in their hands now would not be of much value too.

Fearless waved and said, "The money doesn't matter now, we can borrow from the system."

"Mm!" Wang Yu nodded and continued, "This is a good idea."

To ease the stress that players have financially, the game officially released a renting and credit loaning system. With the system as the lender, there will not be a scenario of reneging and owing of debt happening.

"Tsk!" Ming Du said with disdain, "Since you have money for monopolising, why find us then? Just distribute money to us then."

"Oh? You want to force your way through?" Ming Du tried to measure other's corn with his own bushel.

"Haha!" Fearless laughed, "Do you think I am you? I'm just asking you guys to do some physical work…"

"Physical work…"

After hearing what Fearless said, the Quan Zhen Sect players felt a cold air down their spine.

The sunrise in the morning in Twilight City was beautiful. While the players were immersed in the joy of harvest, a notification flashed across the sky.

After sending out the notifications, Wang Yu turned around and squinted his eyes at Fearless, "Look, I just helped you send out the notification, I don't have to do the physical work anymore, do I?"

Fearless said awkwardly, "You guys really are Quan Zhen Sect's living signboard…"

"Then you should also know why I am the living signboard as well!" Wang Yu cracked his bones.

Fearless said immediately, "Okay, okay. You won't need to do physical work anymore, I'll just ask the rest to do more then."

"Damn it, Fearless, you are just a coward!" everybody pointed at Fearless and scolded.

Fearless pointed at the rest and glanced while saying, "Do you guys want money or your lives?"

"…"

Everybody looked at Wang Yu then at Fearless… and bowed down to power and money.

At the same time, the notification appeared and took everyone's attention again.

Everybody was already acquainted with the notification for buying fragments. Not only in the forums, the Sanguine alliance and the Void Blade Guild were also caught in heated debates…

Though the guildless players had three fragments in their hands, they did not have the financial ability to get enough fragments for a cape. It would be a waste to give the fragments away, so they were pretty willing to sell those away.

However, these guildless players were of course exceptionally bright to be able to survive till now. They vetted all the prices and would only sell their fragments to the highest payer.

Not only did Quan Zhen Sect offer the highest price, they offered a special privilege too. Naturally, everyone would be drawn to it.

The Quan Zhen Sect was a down-to-earth guild in terms of size. They merely had over ten members so they weren't much different from these rogue players. To be able to accomplish what they did over the years, they were definitely the role model for many smaller guilds, the hope of rogue players and the stars of Twilight City.

Normally, everyone would only hear rumours about them. Now that they heard they could even enjoy special privileges, everyone was naturally inclined to check it out.

After the players received the notification, all of them ran to the City Lord's Mansion.

In the City Lord's mansion, Fearless called Li Xue and those around to be cashiers while the rest stand in one line like exhibition subjects.

While Wang Yu hid in a corner to drink tea with City Lord Wylie, Fearless pointed at everyone and said, "If you guys sell your fragments to Quan Zhen Sect, the players here will grant each of you a small wish."

"This piece of trash…"

Wang Yu was speechless and was secretly grateful for his wise choice. Indeed, this b*stard dared to harm even his own men, that was pure prostitution and nothing like physical work.

"Really? Can I ask for Iron Bull God's signature?" Everybody became excited and some of them just asked for signatures immediately.

"Pshh…" Wang Yu split out his tea and couldn't believe that the masses still remembered him even though he had hidden himself.

"About this…" Fearless looked at Wang Yu who showed a black face then wiped his sweat and said, "Iron Bull will turn crazy this time every month, so I'm afraid that his madness would be activated suddenly."

"Okay then…" That player heard what Fearless said and pointed to Ling Longmeng, "I want that girl to kiss me…"

"…"

In a nutshell, though the entire process was complicated, it was still successful nonetheless…

Everyone got even more excited after hearing that the Quan Zhen Sect players would be played with.

As a low ranking player, a chance to interact with the top-notch existence in Twilight City did not come by easily.

Within a short moment, other than the guildless players, the players from big guilds came over to butt in…

Captain Don't Open Fire and presidents of big guilds like Sanguine Warflag's heart could break just by looking at the good business at Quan Zhen Sect's side…

Their own elite teams in their own guilds were still waiting for capes, but Quan Zhen Sect just had to interrupt at this point in time. These people already owned so many fragments and still wanted more, they were truly made to cause trouble.

Of course, these big guilds could not even do anything in response to the behavior of Quan Zhen Sect and could only suffer in silence and did not even dare to raise their price up.

They had no choice, because to fight with Quan Zhen Sect, they would have to choose between losing their money and losing their lives.
