"F*ck!!!"
Seeing how the people behind noticed him, Wang Yu wanted to strangle Shroom Devil King.
If they were going to fight, Wang Yu would of course not be afraid of these robbers but he was here for a quest and not trouble so if he bothered fighting with them, won't he turn into a street mouse too? How demeaning.
What could he do, after all he put himself in this situation…
In Sin City, it was a crime itself to have good equipment and to know Shroom Devil King, it was paying a sin.
Letting out a sigh, Wang Yu turned around out of no choice and at the same time, saw clearly who was calling out to him.
These robbers were all sly and arrogant-looking. Seeing how the equipment on them were all glitzy, it was obvious that these guys were doing quite well in Sin City, or else they would not go around in such high profile.
Shroom Devil King was held in the air by two burly-built Warriors as though she was hung in mid-air by her throat. Seeing Wang Yu look over, she even leaped strugglingly to cover up her short legs.
Those yelling for Wang Yu had a Magician as their leader. That Magician scanned Wang Yu up and down then squinted his eyes and said, "Foreigner, do you know the rules here?"
"Rules?" Wang Yu shook his head, thinking that the Magician wanted him to pay a ransom fee so he pointed at Shroom Devil King and explained, "I think you are looking for the wrong person, I don't know her."
However, Sin City's robber culture was stronger than what Wang Yu thought.
That Magician ignored what he said and laughed, "It is none of our business you don't know her but as the saying goes, in Rome, you do what the Romans do. Your equipment looks pretty good, are you going to take them off yourself? Or do you want us to do it? I advise you to remove them on your own. After all, if we do it, you won't only be losing your equipment."
In <<REBIRTH>>, other than the red-name players, normal players' drop rate were not high so that Magician obviously meant that he wanted to empty Wang Yu out of whatever he had.
How arrogant? How brazen? That's it!
In the gaming world, no matter how immoral one might be, it was always angering to see people exploit their authority to bully others. Not just those reputable big guilds, even when Quan Zhen Sect wanted to con people, they had to be wary, but yet, these guys are so blatantly robbing, and even want to bankrupt others.
It looked like Shroom Devil King did not listen to them so she was about to be sent to the resurrection point.
Wang Yu was a martial artist so even though he did not meddle in others' affairs, it was important that he fought against the evil. Hearing what the Magician said, Wang Yu's face darkened then softly told the Magician, "I don't care what rules you have but I'm warning you, I'm here for a quest, don't infuriate me!"
The Magician was obviously used to doing as he wished in Sin City and had not seen the world. Hearing what Wang Yu said, he chuckled and said, "In Sin City, you are the first person who dares to speak to us, Wild Wolf Pack like this."
"Wild Wolf Pack? Is this Magician here the legendary Red Wolf?"
Once he heard what the Magician said, the players following behind Wang Yu in the hope of picking up something he dropped took a deep breath.
Wild Wolf Pack was currently the fiercest bunch in Sin City at robbing. Not just to foreigners, even in the eyes of the locals of Sin City, they were fearful of them.
After all, Sin City was like a parasite breeding ground. Groups of robbers were the parasite and to be able to stand out as the king of parasites, their abilities were obviously undeniable.
The only reason everyone did not identify them was because Sin City was too big for players to know one another.
Wild Wolf Pack was extremely cruel. They would bankrupt people of their livelihood, targeting players with decent equipment so those who have met them would have been bankrupted, left the game or moved to another city. Hence, it was normal that those who were still around did not know them.
In this survival of the fittest environment, normal people who saw the person at the top of the food chain would naturally run away so once those following behind Wang Yu knew that these guys are the legendary robbers, they left without another word.
The nearby players' retreat like a tide made Wang Yu realise that these guys' abilities were not just normal.
Of course, no matter how good they were, that was just in relation to others. To Wang Yu, this meant nothing to him. Hearing that they were Wild Wolf Pack unsurprisingly made him feel that they had bad taste, especially with such a gross name.
"Hmm!"
Wang Yu snarled then side-eyed Red Wolf and said, "Wild Wolf Pack, right? Noted. If there's nothing else, I'm leaving!"
Not wanting to waste time with them, Wang Yu turned and left.
Honestly speaking, Red Wolf and the rest were around the same size as Quan Zhen Sect, putting it nicely, they were a small team but putting it harshly, they were just a bunch of gangsters.
Wang Yu was donned in the best equipment so his identity was suspicious. Furthermore, Wang Yu looked annoyed upon hearing Wild Wolf Pack's name so this made Red Wolf unsure if Wang Yu could be an expert from a big guild.
No matter how good he was, he was still alone. With all these equipment, Red Wolf was not letting them go.
"Want to leave?"
Just then, Red Wolf raised his staff and an icicle formed in front of him. He aimed at Wang Yu's back and sent it flying over as a test.
Wang Yu did not even look back. He just casually flung his arm back and a [Rippling Wave] escaped his hands, smashing the icicle into a ball of blue mist.
"Ah, so you are a Qigong Master!!"
Upon guessing Wang Yu's job, Red Wolf squinted slightly then let out a proud smile.
Pugilist was an unremarkable job in many's eyes and only very few were in a large guild, much less a Qigong Master which was an even more unremarkable strand.
Some things were just not innate. Qigong Masters had around the same attack range as Warriors but their attack strength was lower than a Magician so usually, large guilds would directly reject such jobs.
Initially, Red Wolf was quite afraid of Wang Yu's identity but after finding out his job, his initial fear disappeared.
Soon after, Red Wolf ordered his subordinates, "This b*stard is playing a fool, kill him!"
Upon Red Wolf's order, the players behind him began taking out their weapons to attack Wang Yu.
The first two were Assassins.
These two Assassins had the protection of long-distance jobs behind them. As their opponent was a 'lousy' Qigong Master, they were not wary of Wang Yu and so they did not even use [Stealth]. They just turned on [Haste] to dash in front of Wang Yu then lifted their daggers, wanting to stab him.
Of course, when dealing with such brazen people, Wang Yu was not going to go soft on them.
Seeing the dagger stab towards him, Wang Yu calmly took a step back while stretching his both arms forward.
For the sake of hiding, Assassins were set to be small-built. Wang Yu was burly with long limbs so before the two Assassins stabbed him, Wang Yu was already pushing them backwards by their chins.
