When the break time ended, both teams proceeded to their respective gaming cabins.
As the final battle among the amateur teams, this match was extremely crucial to both teams as it would earn them the qualifications to be able to compete on the same stage as the other professional teams out there.
What was most important was that these two teams represented the Northern and Southern martial arts families, thus the honour of these families depends on the performance of the two teams.
The audiences in the arena were also looking forward to this match, an excitement that they never had for the other amateur team matches.
Team Pugilists Don't Cry's overwhelming strength left an extremely deep impression in everyone's mind. On the other hand, the way Team A Murder Of Crow employed underhanded means and dirty tricks in order to win their battles also left an imprint in the audiences' minds.
Even if both teams were not professional teams, seeing a team of despicable and underhanded players getting stomped upon by a team of overwhelmingly strong players was a sight that anyone would be willing to see.
"Let us invite Team Pugilists Don't Cry up on stage!!"
Following the emcee's announcement, under the anticipating gaze of the audience, a live image of Purity and her team entering the stage appeared on the screen in the arena.
Following which, the spectators broke out into an enormous roar of adoration.
Since this was the final round in the amateur match-ups, the visual and sound effects were top notch.
Following the audience's curious gaze, the emcee introduced the battle team enthusiastically and said, "Team Pugilists Don't Cry is a newly formed battle team and comprises only of Pugilists. The captain of this team is the legendary Cold Winter Spear, Purity! Since the start of the amateur match-ups, they have yet to meet an opponent that they could treat seriously and have shown with their actions just how overwhelmingly powerful they are. The pride of the battle team is just as their name suggests, they are a bunch of Pugilists that will never cry in the face of any battles that come their way!!"
Even though half of what the emcee announced was fake, the enthusiasm and vigour in his speech aroused the fervor of the audience. With every word that the emcee said, the crowd erupted into an even bigger cheer and applause.
After the emcee finished his introduction for the Team Pugilists Don't Cry, the bunch from Quan Zhen Sect were sent up onto the stage as well.
The moment the screen flashed the images of the players from Quan Zhen Sect, the audience started hissing at them with a look of dissatisfaction. This bunch of despicable players still had the same carefree and careless attitude as they sauntered onto the stage.
"Are you f*cking done with your speech? Hurry up and start!"
The moment the audience heard the emcee giving such an extravagant introduction for the Quan Zhen Sect players in a bid to drag the time, they couldn't help but erupt in anger and expressed their disagreement.
The audience was the king in this case, thus seeing that he had aroused the dissatisfaction from the audience, the emcee abruptly stopped finishing his sentence and shouted, "Match start!"
The two battle teams had, at this moment, entered onto the battlefield.
According to the rules, the location for the first round of 1v1 battles will be decided by Team Pugilists Don't Cry.
Purity and her team had once crossed blades with the bunch from Quan Zhen Sect and had also watched all of their previous battles. Thus, they knew full well that this bunch of people would use whatever means necessary in order to ensure their win and were a tough opponent.
Keeping this in mind, Purity selected the same elevated stage as the one Quan Zhen Sect had fought in in their first battle. It was a stage which pitted both players' skills against each other.
Upon seeing Purity selecting this map as the battlefield, the audience couldn't help but exclaim, "Wa! She really lives up to her name as the Cold Winter Spear! She's extremely confident in her skills!"
In the eyes of the common players, Purity choosing this location was an act of provocation towards Quan Zhen Sect, as they were familiar with fighting in that location.
However, upon seeing Purity choosing this location, Fearless' expression became dark as he said, "This little chick is really difficult to deal with."
Based on their individual strengths, apart from the rare few in Quan Zhen Sect, the rest wasn't a match for Purity and her team.
In these scenarios whereby one party's skills greatly outclass the other, the location of the map was extremely crucial. After all, the larger and more complicated the map was, the greater the number of objects that could be used in the fight.
The reason why Quan Zhen Sect had kept on using the same elevated stage in the previous matches was so that in the future battles, the stronger teams would avoid choosing this map location to fight them in, giving Quan Zhen Sect more leeway to make use of their terrain.
Who would have thought that this little chick would be able to see through Fearless' intentions so easily, and chose the same map in order to confront them head-on in a battle of skills?
After pondering over it for a while, Fearless coolly said, "Brother Spring, the first fight will be yours!"
Spring Halo possessed a few control abilities and could dish out huge damages within a short period of time. Compared to the rest, he had a greater advantage on this stage.
"En!" Spring Halo nodded his head, before raising his staff and stepping onto the battlefield.
On the other hand, the player that was sent by the Battle Team Pugilists Don't Cry was a fat Pugilist named Dragon Spirit.
This player named Dragon Spirit had appeared in a few matches throughout the competition so far. His fist techniques are extremely ruthless and his close quarter combat was rather overbearing. However, this kid's age was a little too young and thus his fighting style was a little extreme.
Upon seeing that his opponent was Dragon Spirit, a glint flashed across Spring Halo's eyes. From afar, he expressed his greetings and said, "Hello little kid, why would your team send you on stage? Aren't they afraid of me bullying their little kid?" The key in a 1v1 fight was the mental state of both players. Whoever lost their cool first would have already lost half the battle. Thus, trying to disrupt your opponent's mental state was a strategy of sorts.
Upon getting insulted by Spring Halo, Dragon Spirit immediately raised his lips and retorted, "Did Quan Zhen Sect realise that they can't win this fight, so they invited their parents to fight for them?"
Dragon Spirit was extremely sensitive when people commented on his age, thus he thought that the other party would also be sensitive towards this topic as well.
Who would have known that his sarcastic comments were completely unable to affect Spring Halo in the least. Instead of being angry, Spring Halo smiled and replied, "That's right, they said that kids these days keep on spouting too much bullsh*t, that's why they sent me up here to teach you a lesson."
In just a short sentence, Spring Halo had reversed the situation and made it seem as though he was Dragon Spirit's father coming on stage to teach him a lesson. This statement from Spring Halo completely infuriated Dragon Spirit.
"F*ck you! You're a dog seeking its death!"
The enraged Dragon Spirit pointed his finger at Spring Halo's nose and started hurling vulgarities at him.
Upon seeing this, the audience couldn't help but sigh in pity for Dragon Spirit.
Swaying an opponent's mentality before a fight was a battle strategy that had existed a long time ago. However, the slur of vulgarities that Dragon Spirit just used wasn't allowed in the arena.
Everyone knew how despicable Quan Zhen Sect was, and yet this little kid fell into their trap. It was truly pitiful…
As expected, upon hearing Dragon Spirit's scoldings take a turn for the worst, Spring Halo smiled cheekily as he raised his hand and shouted, "Ayayay, referee, is this considered a personal attack?"
"Considered!"
The referee raised a red card into the air with a dark expression. Dragon Spirit, who was still in the midst of his scoldings, got muted from the game and was sent off the stage.
\u003cSystem notification: Match 1 Round 1, Spring Halo from Quan Zhen Sect wins.\u003e
The audience were in tears when they heard the announcement. Who would have known that it would be this hard to see the bast*rds from Quan Zhen Sect receive the beating that they rightfully deserved?
