Chapter 15：CHAPTER 15 : JEALOUSY

It's been three years Josh worked for Doug, Doug had satisfied with his work and he trusted him. Doug involved him in negotiations as well now. And that made someone jealous. Hawk only interested on machines, he didn't understand about negotiation, that's why Doug didn't took him to negotiate. Josh had shown to Doug his negotiation skill with their last project. Josh had known for a long time about Brian's "back deal" with some people, though he couldn't prove it. He just kept silent about it, and Josh wanted Doug to earn more money by cutting Brian's back deal with someone else. His action caused Brian's lost much money, now he wanted to get rid of Josh. He planned something to framed him.

A month had passed, Hawk missed Megumi already. A month ago he tried to approached her. She hated him at first, and Megumi's heart only open for Josh. She thought Josh had helped her because he liked her, but Josh explained to her that he would asked his mom to adopted her and it means they would be siblings. Megumi was broken heart for two days, but she tried to be happy again and she began to open her heart to hawk since he softened his actions and his gentleness had conquered her heart. Hawk had promised her to wait her grown up and would marry her.

Josh :"Where are you going ?"

Hawk :"I'm going to call my girlfriend."

Josh :"Since when she agreed to be your girlfriend ?"

Hawk :"Since a month ago, before you took her away."

Josh :"I don't believe you ! You're just playboy ! You'll get bored in the short time and will get another girl."

Hawk :"You'll see !"

Josh :"Don't mess with her heart will you ?"

Hawk :"I won't, I'm serious this time. I've promised her to wait her grown up to be beautiful young lady. I know you cared her a lot, don't worry I won't play with her this time."

Josh :"You're getting old dude, how long will you wait for her ?"

Hawk :"Hahaha... I won't be that old to marry her someday ! I really like her sincerity and her pure heart, I had painful experienced with mature woman you know that."

Josh :"I think she was not mature woman, she was just a selfish and materialistic woman. You didn't deserved her ! Just forget about her !"

Hawk went to the nearest payphone to called Megumi. On his way to that place, he saw something suspicious, he saw Brian talked to some people like gangsters, he went near them and tried to hear what were they talking about. He heard something about killing matters, but who would they killed ? But they split up already now, he couldn't heard anything anymore. He told Josh about what happened, what he just saw. Josh nod and heard his story.

Josh :"I have something to tell you too Hawk. I've seen Brian's plot many times before with some people. It was started when our boss got start our project buying some old ships few years ago. I knew there were difference about the money deal, and I think Brian got some profit from it. Have you seen his lifestyle now ?"

Hawk :"I think you were right, he had changed a lot lately. Sometimes I saw him spent the night at night clubs and I heard he had some mistresses now. I think you should be careful with him, maybe he has plan to harm people."

Josh :"Speaking of that, I think he is targeting me since I cut our boss's last deal. I could see his hateful eyes toward me that day. Don't worry I'm still practising karate till now, I can protect myself."

Hawk :"But I think you can't underestimate them, looks like they were gangsters and they are a lot !"

Josh :"OK thank you for your info Hawk, I'll be careful."

Doug was impressed with Josh last deal, he could pressed the price to be so low, so he could get more profit. Doug took him again this time to negotiate with other project, Brian also got ready to set up something, he had prepared well this time. The deal went well, Doug got low price again now thanks to Josh. Three days after the deal, someone place a letter on Doug's desk. When Doug came to his office that day he opened the letter and read it with widened eyes. It said that Josh had signed up agreement with someone to take up some money from the deal. Doug got mad and called Josh directly. Josh came, he knew something had happened but, he couldn't figure it out yet.

Doug :"Josh, can you explain this ?" He threw the letter to Josh's face.

Josh read it, he knew he had been set up but he still tried to calm down.

Josh :"Sir, it's true I've signed an agreement last week, but not this agreement. I wanted to buy a motorboat on my own last week not a big ship you bought on our last project. I'm afraid my sign had been faking. And no one couldn't prove I received that big amount of money. You didn't know who sent this letter, so you couldn't blame no one to be responsible for it right ?"

Doug :"I'll investigated this matter, you can go now."

Josh left his office with worried, he said to himself "The war has been started now, I must get ready !"

Hawk saw Josh back "What happened ? Why did boss called you ?"

Josh :"Someone framed me ! I think I know who did it."

Hawk :"Is it Brian ?"

Josh :"Could be !"

Hawk :"What did boss say ?"

Josh :"Someone sent him letter without sender, it was said that I took hidden profit from our last project, it has my sign. I remember my last signed was on agreement to bought that motorboat with you. So, someone had faking my sign !"

Hawk :"Hmm.... how cunning he is ! You should be more careful Josh !"

Josh :"Yes, I know, thank you for helping me."

It's been a month no further news about Josh slandered. He still tutoring Caren like usually.

Caren :"Next three month I will be seventeen years old. I'll be a woman ! What will you give me ?"

Josh :"What do you want this time ?"

Caren :"I want something exciting and wonderful this time, only you can give me that !"

Josh :"What is it ?"

Caren :"You'll know when the time will come, I'll tell you then. You just promised me you'll attend my birthday party next month !"

Josh :"OK I'll promise you. Should I buy you something ? What exactly do you want for your gift ?"

Caren :"I won't tell you now, it's secret ! You don't have to buy me anything. I just need your presence !"

That night Josh was walking back home when suddenly some people intercepted him in the narrow street. Josh tried to be calm, there were five big people getting close to him carrying sticks on their hands "What do you want ?" One of that man said "We want you dead !" And they started to attack him. Josh was alone but he wasn't afraid since he can do karate, he hit them back with bare hands and he tried to take one of their sticks to strike them back. He got injured to on his back and his forehead, but he could conquered them finally. He walked home with one of his leg got hurt. Hawk saw him from far, he ran to him and helped him walk home. Hawk took some medicine from the drug store and he treated his wounded.

Josh :"I don't know, suddenly some people intercepted me on that alley. It was about five big people was trying to slaughter me."

Hawk :"I think you should stop provoking Brian josh. I'm afraid he'll kill you !"

Josh :"Since I've gone this far, I have to face this was Hawk ! Till the end !"

Hawk :"It's too risky ! Your life on the bet ! I think you should tell the police about this matter, let them help you !"

Josh :"No, it's not a good idea. I saw Brian had nice relationship with the head chief !"

Hawk :"Then you should stop now Josh. Or you'll loose your life !"

Josh :"Don't be such a coward Hawk ! I know what I'm doing. You just stay away from me if you can't help me."
