Chapter 21：CHAPTER 21 : LET ME BE YOUR WOMAN

Josh had been traveling around the world with his cruise, he was enjoying his new job as a manager and captain of the cruise ship. It was his first visit to England that year, he was introduced to Helen Wood, she owned a travel agent. She was a hard working woman and her travel agent was renowned for good service. Josh was very impressed with her work, that's why he decided to work together with her and signed some projects with her.

Helen :"Mr. Wu what benefit will you offer me ?"

Josh :"I'll give you free ride in my cruise to everywhere around the world Ms. Wood."

Helen :"Hmm sounds interesting, OK let's sign our agreement then."

Josh :"Let's do it !"

Helen was a charming woman, some men had approached her several times, but she had high standard. She was a free spirited woman and very ambitious, her dad was an english businessman, her mom was a chinese, that's why she had brown eyes just like asian girl, but with fair skin like western people. When she met Josh her eyes always stuck to him, she got attracted by his charmed.

Helen had gathered some group of people and took them to enjoy vacation to mediterranean sea by Josh cruise. She was enjoying that two weeks trip together with Josh, she thought she could getting close to him on that trip. Josh somehow got swayed by her beauty and charmed attitude, "she's indeed a mature and independent woman" he said to himself. She was a straight forward person, she said directly to Josh that she interested to him, but she didn't pursue him, that made Josh confusing sometime she seduced him but then she went away, and sometime she just ignored him or even played hard to get. Josh said to himself "What is this woman want from me exactly ? Sometime her seduction was very tempting, but then she play hard to get. Should I try to date her ?"

But then he remembered Caren and his heart got ache when he heart about her dad's dead, he couldn't come to his funeral.

Josh got helped a lot by Helen, she had wide range of connections all over Europe. Josh got some projects because of her and he could earn lots of profit now. Josh got attached to Helen a lot more now, but he witnessed her free spirited life, and he didn't think of dating her anymore. He just wanted to maintain their good relations. One night Helen asked him to sleep with her, Josh tried to refuse her gently.

Josh :"Helen, you're drunk you should go to your room now."

Helen :"I want you to accompany me to my room then."

Josh :"OK I'll send you to your room."

Josh took her to her room, but then Helen lock the door. She grabbed his shirt and kissed his lips.

Helen :"Let me be your woman tonight !"

Josh was hesitated he tried to release her and put her to the bed, but then she grabbed his shirt again and pulled his body to the bed, she undressed herself and she undressed Josh also. Josh was very tempted but then he pushed her to the bed and beat her neck. Helen got unconscious, Josh covered her with the blanket and then left her room. Helen woke up the next day, she felt a bit stiff on her neck, she didn't remember about what happen last night, the only thing she could remember that she got drunk and Josh sent her to her room.

Josh met her at the lounge.

Josh :"Morning Helen, how is your stomach ? Here is ginger drink for you. You've drunk so bad last night !"

Helen :"Really, am I that drunk ? What happened last night, I didn't remember ?"

Josh :"No nothing happened. Just enjoy some porridge here is good for your stomach."

Helen :"OK thank you Josh."

Josh left her to have some fresh air at the dock. He heaved a heavy sigh, "it was very tempting night last nigh ! But still I can manage my desire, I don't like to have sex with drunk woman." he said to himself.

Josh finally got back to his city after six months roaming around the world. He kept on contact with Hawk about the updating of Caren's conditions, he had told Hawk to help her in secret. Now, Shawn had made him to be the vice president and he had a lot more work to do. He had to spent more time at the office even working over time. He didn't have a chance to meet Caren, but he missed her a lot, he thought he could see her again now since her dad died, he wanted to get close to her again.

One day Caren went to his office and asked for his help, he surprised that day but he felt happy also. He then had an idea to get closer to her again, her desire to have her suddenly came up. Actually he never stop loving her, when he had a day off he sometime went to see her from far, he always heard some news about Caren from her best friend Sheila, he told Sheila to keep updating him about Caren's whereabouts since he left her six years ago. That's why he was very sure that Caren still loved him, so he dared to proposed to her that day. He knew that Caren was once dating Danny for two years, and Danny was still lingering her till now. But he confident about Caren's feeling, he patiently waited for her to respond.

Hawk called him, he told him Caren just met him and she asked about many things related to him. He smiled to hear it, and he was very sure that Caren will respond him very soon. Hawk also reminded him about his wedding with Megumi in two weeks. Josh thought it was a good idea to take her with him to attend Hawk's wedding as well as introduce her to his mom. So, he directly called her after his phone call with Hawk ended.

Josh :"Hello Caren ? Will you have time for me tomorrow ? I'd like to meet you at lunch."

Caren :"Yes, I was about to call you just now. Where can I meet you ?"

Josh :"We can meet at the same restaurant I treat you last time, do you still remember where is the place ?"

Caren :"Yes, I know the place. OK See you there tomorrow. Bye."

Josh came to the restaurant earlier than Caren, he had waited her for fifteen minutes already, he's about to call her to ask where was she, Caren came to his table wearing pink dress she look so charming.

Josh :"No, I just came also. What do you like to eat ?"

Caren :"Anything just same with you. So what did you want to tell me ?"

Josh :"You first, I think you have something important to say to me ?"

Caren :"About your offer last time. Why don't we just engage first, we don't have to get marry so soon ?"

Josh :"No, I want to get marry to you only. I want to protect you legally, also I don't want someone lingering you all the time. If we are married you don't need to give him any false hope again right ?"

Caren :"Someone lingering me, who do you mean ?"

Josh :"I don't have to tell you, you know him."

Caren :"But how do you know him ?"

Josh :"It's not important, so will you marry me ?"

Caren :"OK I agree to marry you ... but with some conditions."

Josh :"Just tell me ?"

Caren :"I don't want to have party or any celebration, just registered our marriage in the civil bureau. I'd like to have separate room from you and I can't serve you at the moment." She looked down, she couldn't see his face, she was too embarrassed.

Josh smiled :"Don't worry I won't force you to do something you don't wanna do. I'll patiently wait till you get ready, I can wait for you to grown up until now, I won't mind to wait you a bit longer again. As long as you agreed to marry me, I'll treat you well and protect you forever, this I promise you. I also agree with you, there won't be any wedding party."

Caren slowly turned her head up, she felt relieve "Thank you Josh, I'll try to be nice to you, just give me some time to adjust."

Josh :"Sure ... now let's eat."

They ate their lunch with bright smile on their face.

Josh :"Oh yeah, by the way. Do you remember Megumi ?"

Caren :"Oh sure I remember her, what about her ?"

Josh :"She'll get married with Hawk next week."

Caren :"What ? So soon ?"

Josh :"They were dating for long time, you never knew ! You'd better prepare, we should attend their wedding together as married couple !"

Caren :"What ? When we'll get married ?"

Josh :"Tomorrow ! Just prepare your paper, I'll pick you up very early in the morning."

Caren :"O..Ok I'll get ready. If you don't have anything to tell me again, I'll take my leave then." she was getting ready to go.

Josh :"Wait, where will you go after this ?"

Caren :"Just go home."

Josh :"Then I'll drive you home !"

Caren :"No, you must be busy, no need to send me home."

Josh :"But I insisted, I'd like to take you to buy some dresses before you go home."

Caren :"But you really don't have to, I still have some dresses on my own."

Josh :"I want to buy you some new edition, just go with me !"

He grabbed her hand and took her to his car. They went to a boutique and she tried some new dresses there, including a white simple dress for their wedding day tomorrow.
