“Lu Zhaoying, are you this busy? Why do you have patients even after class?” Jiang Dongye glanced at the door.
It was already winter.
Indeed, many people came to the school doctor’s office to find Lu Zhaoying.
Many students came over for a drip during the evening self-study and were just next door.
Cheng Mu was accustomed to opening the door.
Qin Ran sat in a chair, her hand on the table as she looked towards the door.
Outside, Qian Dui put out his cigarette. The technician behind him had worked with Cheng Mu before for a period of time and they were considered old acquaintances.
Qian Dui nodded at him in greeting before asking, “Is Miss Qin here?”
Cheng Mu froze for a while before turning sideways to give way. “Yes, she just came in.”
Qin Dui went inside and threw the cigarette into the trash can. He saw Qin Ran sitting at the table at one glance.
Jiang Dongye was asking Cheng Juan to help him investigate Gu Xichi again.
As soon as he turned his head absentmindedly, he saw Qian Dui walking in and asked casually, “Why is Qian Dui here?”
Then, he continued talking to Cheng Juan.
Cheng Juan finally looked up and glanced unpredictably at him.
Qin Dui sat next to Qin Ran and politely greeted Jiang Dongye. “I came for Miss Qin.”
“Oh.” Jiang Dongye nodded halfway before suddenly reacting.
He turned his head fiercely to look at Qian Dui.
Qian Dui sat down next to Qin Ran and talked to her.
Cheng Mu made tea for the three of them.
He paused before walking over to Jiang Dongye with the kettle.
Jiang Dongye suddenly stood up from his chair. “What the f*ck! Qian… Qian Dui?”
He had waited outside the Criminal Investigation Brigade for the whole day, wearing a military coat and standing at the gate with the guards. But Qian Dui hadn’t appeared even after work?
Cheng Mu nodded at Jiang Dongye to help him affirm it. “Yes, it’s Qian Dui.”
In a daze, Jiang Dongye asked, “He came to find Qin Ran? Why? Are you close to him?”
“I’m not close to him, but Miss Qin is. They have known each other for a long time.” Cheng Mu thought for a while before giving him this piece of shocking news.
Countless sparks exploded in Jiang Dongye’s mind at this instance, and he was rendered utterly dizzy and at a loss.
He was rather pitiful, and Cheng Mu did not want to stimulate him anymore. It was Lu Zhaoying’s fault for being familiar with both sides.
Cheng Mu even wanted to take pictures.
And he wanted to report it to Cheng Jin.
Qin Ran didn’t know the situation and just said a few words to Qian Dui before looking at the technician.
She remembered that Cheng Juan said he was part of the hacker alliance, so she stood up and knocked on the table with her fingers. “Come out, I have something to ask you.”
The technician nodded and went out.
Qin Ran looked around the school doctor’s office and couldn’t find her coat—it was probably still in the car. After thinking about it, she picked up her school uniform on the chair.
The technician followed behind her as she walked forward, but suddenly, a coat landed on her.
Qin Ran turned her head subconsciously.
Cheng Juan was calling someone and, after giving her the coat, walked into the back room while talking lazily to the person on the other end.
Cheng Mu looked blankly at this scene. Master Juan was indeed impressive.
Cheng Mu suddenly remembered something and glanced at Cheng Juan. “That day… what kind of pink diamond did she get?”
Although Cheng Mu had a bad memory because he stayed up all night, he had a deep impression of the thing which he had suspected was glass. However, his explanation was rather unclear and he tried to express himself. “It’s just a rough stone without any polishing…”
Cheng Juan was too lazy to ask him again, so he took a pen directly and drew a few strokes on the back of a paper.
Then, he raised his hand and showed Cheng Mu. “Like this?”
What the hell, Master Juan also learned to draw before? Cheng Mu thought about this and looked down at the drawing.
Other than it being the wrong color, it was almost identical.
He suddenly felt like Master Juan was teasing him and looked up blankly. “Master Juan, you saw it too, didn’t you?”
This reaction meant that it looked the same, so Cheng Juan snorted softly and raised an eyebrow.
He threw the pen on the table and glanced at Cheng Mu lightly. “Go to the car and get her coat back.”
**
Qin Ran closed the door behind her.
“You were part of the Hacker Alliance?” Outside, Qin Ran pulled the coat around her and glanced at the technician.
The technician was surprised.
After a while, he thought it was not too unexpected for Qin Ran to know about this, so he directly admitted it. “I freelanced in the Hacker Alliance before, but I have already quit for two years.”
“Have you seen the members of the Hacker Alliance?” Qin Ran leaned against the wall and asked lazily.
“No. Most of them are all over the country, so unless they ask to meet, it’s rare to see them.” The technician touched his head. “I have only seen my boss till now?”
“Only your President?” Qin Ran raised an eyebrow.
“There’s another person, but he always has his back to me.” The technician recalled. “I was a little too excited when I met our President for the first time, so I don’t remember the details clearly. However, it was probably just the President and two other people who looked like his friends.”
Qin Ran nodded. “What kind of friends do your President have?”
The technician’s cell phone was the same as Qin Ran’s.
It was a flip-top mobile phone that could turn into an MSI (Micro-star International) computer. Qin Ran had given it to the technician three years ago.
That mobile phone was indeed unique. Anyone in the Hacker Alliance would remember it clearly if they saw it.
“I’m not clear about this. He often wanders around the world, and all his friends are all the same level as him.” The technician paused and then glanced faintly at Qin Ran. “As if… Miss Qin, do you think I can know what kind of friends you have?” They were not of the same level at all.
Qin Ran was suddenly unable to refute. She looked at the technician’s grudging face and cleared her throat. “… You can go back.”
The two of them went back.
Qin Ran pushed the door open.

Inside, Jiang Dongye sat next to Qian Dui, whom he had failed to meet even after waiting for several days outside his workplace.
He asked various questions.
He asked how he knew Qin Ran, and then asked if he could help him with something.
However, Qian Dui seemed very cold and did not talk much.
He did not reply at all…
Jiang Dongye sent a WeChat message to Lu Zhaoying.
Lu Zhaoying glanced at him but did not reply.
When Qin Ran came in again, Jiang Dongye stared intensely at her.
He did not look away.
He really didn’t expect that Qian Dui, whom Jiang Hui was not even close to, would actually know Qin Ran, a high school student!
Do normal high school students know the Captain of the Criminal Investigation Team?
And even come to the school to find her?
Qin Ran was used to being stared at and was not surprised. The school doctor’s office was not cold, so she took off the coat and put it back on the chair.
There was no one at this time, so Lu Zhaoying turned on the computer on his desk and logged into a game. He asked Qin Ran, “Are you going to Devil City to watch Sun God’s competition on Saturday?”
“I think so.” Qin Ran squinted and picked up the teacup on the table.
It was not only for Yang Fei. Chen Shulan was also not able to go to Gu Xichi, so Qin Ran had to go over personally.
Cheng Mu brought Qin Ran’s coat in. She took it and placed it on her lap.
“Miss Qin, this.” Qian Dui handed over the computer. “Look at it.”
Qin Ran glanced at it and dealt with several data problems as usual. The technician stood beside her and learned from her.
She was processing the data, so Qian Dui did not disturb her.
“What’s she doing?” Jiang Dongye looked at how serious they were and couldn’t help but turn and ask Cheng Mu in a low voice.
“She’s probably helping the technician handle some things,” Cheng Mu replied calmly.
Jiang Dongye paused. “She’s a student, isn’t she?”
Cheng Mu continued calmly, “She learned it from her grandpa before.”
In a few moments, the data was processed and Qian Dui picked up the computer and left.
Jiang Dongye picked up his coat and said to Qin Ran, “Thanks in advance!”
Then, he hurriedly chased after Qian Dui. He finally managed to meet him, so Jiang Dongye followed after him and also mentioned Jiang Hui.
“You’re talking about Director Jiang?” Qian Dui took out his car key and tilted his head. He seemed to have a better attitude towards Jiang Dongye today. “I’ve met him at Miss Qin’s apprenticeship banquet, and we have exchanged a few words.”
Jiang Dongye suddenly looked up fiercely at this, his mind ablaze.
He didn’t react until Qian Dui’s car had left.
After a long while, Jiang Dongye took out a cigarette holder and then grabbed his phone to call Hao Dui.
He remembered that Hao Dui had cooperated with Qian Dui before and had even added him into his circle of friends quietly.
Hao Dui was surprised to receive a call from Jiang Dongye.
He stopped what he was doing and went outside to pick up the call. “Can’t you just find Miss Qin? When I was looking for Poison Wolf last time, Qian Dui only helped me because of Miss Qin.”
