Angeline smiled and leaned her head back on David's shoulder, enjoying the night sky that felt so close to where they were.

The crescent moon that was reigning in the sky seemed to be smiling at her.

Angeline's entire body now felt filled with David's love without the slightest hole.

David just really loved her.

They both really enjoyed a very romantic moment, until a red dot appeared on Angeline's left chest. David who saw this jumped. Without finding out where the red dot which he believed was the laser light of a firearm came from, David hugged Angeline's body all of a sudden.

Angeline was confused by David's sudden behavior. And when the girl had not had time to realize it,

Bang! ...

The splash of reddish liquid made Angeline round her eyes wide. The sound of gunfire echoed through the air as if it sounded like an extremely sinister death accompaniment.

And now David was hugging Angeline's body tightly, trying to protect her from the bullets that would hit her.

"David!" shouted Angeline, but David didn't answer her. From the look in her eyes, Angeline could tell that David was really ready to face a battle. The look he always showed whenever Angeline was in danger. If it's like this, even Angeline can't hold David back from avoiding a battle that would even endanger his life.

David pulled Angeline down and asked her to keep her head down. Inside, Angeline was anxious to ask David not to do anything, ducked with her while she called the police and waited for the police to come to find who the mysterious shooter was. Under her usual conditions, Angeline might feel panic and fear, but Angeline seems to be a little used to conditions involving firearms like this. After all, Angeline is still the wife of David Stockholm, the mafia who is feared and respected in the circles of the Underworld.

Angeline looked down on the floor of the ride they were on, on the floor where they were sitting in the giant windmill, while David was already standing on the iron frame of the vehicle, facing a man dressed all in black.

Yep, David is standing on a metal frame only a little wider than the width of his feet. The wind that was strong enough from that height made it a little difficult for David to stay upright. Fortunately David is not a person with a phobia of heights, otherwise he would immediately pass out after seeing how far he was standing above ground level.

The man was pointing a gun that was equipped with a laser target, wearing a black leather jacket and black hat that partially covered his face.

As a result of the fairly loud gunshots, everyone who got on the rides screamed in panic. Especially when the vehicle which resembled a giant windmill was forcibly stopped by the operator, who was now busy calling the police, informing him that there had been an act of terrorism.

At the top of the vehicle which was located very far from the ground, David was standing a few meters in front of the man who was nearly shooting his bullet at Angeline. Good thing David was able to protect his wife in time.

David did his best to ignore the pain from the bullet lodged in his left shoulder. If he doesn't do something, Angeline could be in danger.

David saw and paid attention to the person who was standing several meters in front of him, the way he held the gun, the stance that seemed to be without gaps, and his very calm demeanor even though he was standing hundreds of meters above the ground in this strong wind.

David imagined back in his mind the direction of that completely unmissable shot aimed right at Angeline's heart just moments ago. The red laser he used was simply the right move for firing in a crescent moon where the light wasn't bright enough to spot the target.

And the distance from where the man in black was standing with Angeline seemed too far, even so he still shot very precisely with only one hand.

With all his observations, David finally realized something very crucial and smiled broadly. There is only one person in this world who can do something extraordinary like that besides himself.

He did not expect, the person most anticipated of all his enemies was now present in front of him.

The Ace, one of the three great former generals of the legendary mafia syndicate Hendrick Brasco, who has always been a key determinant in the battlefield. People who can move freely from the shadows, have the ability to be in three roles at once; fighter-marksman-assassin.

Someone who is nicknamed the Angel of Death.

That's right.

Can't be someone else.

The one and only.

Steve Stiffler.

David's body shakes as he feels the pain again from the bullet lodged in his shoulder from behind as a result of trying to protect Angeline.

"You must have purposely used a red laser so that I would notice and protect Angel with my body. Since when did you become this low and despicable by not daring to face me in my best condition? Do you now realize that you can't win against me so you want to beat me in a wounded state like this?"

Steve also took off his hat and smiled at David. "You still talk a lot. No wonder Benedict wants to crush your mouth with his fist."

"That stupid bear said that shit?"

"Bear?" asked Steve, while David chuckled at something he absolutely won't understand.

David has indeed insulted Benedict as a bear lately.

David also stared with a very sharp gaze at Steve, "Well, if this is what you want, we will ..." David's words stopped for a moment when the pain returned to his left shoulder which lodged a bullet in there. "Acckkk ... we will end our fucking business here now and forever."

Steve burst out laughing, and when he was satisfied he returned to give David a lopsided smile. "How long have you been thinking so naively? It's obvious that you realized I was the only one who holding gun here."

David smiled broadly, causing Steve to give David a look he didn't like. "Did you smile knowing that your death was approaching?"

David didn't answer, draining Steve's patience. "All right, I'm sorry David, even though we've been in the same group, but business is business. Just sit down in hell and wait kindly for me there, okay?"

Bang! ...

Steve's bullet shot very far from his target, which is David's forehead. The bullet that had been aimed at David's forehead shot so far, it didn't even hit David at all. Steve fell to his knees with blood pouring out of his right thigh. Steve was looking at David angrily, while David was still smiling broadly.

"Haha ..." Steve laughed as he clutched his right thigh which was bleeding a lot. "I didn't think that a David Stockholm who always fights fairly, could also do something this tricky. Maybe I'm the one who's being naive here." said Steve who turned to the direction of the shot.

Someone who saw Steve's gaze from a distance behind his sniper rifle scope smiled with satisfaction at the expression of the person he had been eyeing.

Steve's cell phone rings from inside his black leather jacket. Steve picked it up and pressed the screen of his cell phone to his ear.

"Hello there, dear mr. bastard. How does my bullet feel? Doesn't it hurt?"

Steve smiled broadly at the voice of the person who was now greeting him through the telephone line. "I recognize this voice. You are the last person I left after I slaughtered all your friends. Isn't that right, Cederic? I'm impressed you can reach me, how do you trace my cell phone number?"

Cederic Langford, the leader of Reus Coronam who has joined David. Now Cederic is laughing behind the sniper scope he borrowed from David. "Hahaha ... I'm glad to impress you. I have someone on my team who can do it as easily as turning a palm."

"Oh, I see." Steve replied with a little chuckle, laughing at his own naivety, not expecting that David, who usually moves alone, now has friends who are struggling with him. "Maybe that person I should get rid of first, who can hack my cell phone number as easily as turning a palm."

"Before you get rid of my friend, I'll get rid of you first, you fucking maggot."

Steve also turned to David. "Looks like we have to finish this meeting up here. Next time I'll visit you again, Hendrick's golden child."

Steve jumped and plunged into the sea, making David round his eyes perfectly.

This giant wind ride is indeed adjacent to the sea, because the Dream Land amusement park is very close to a port.

David was about to jump after him, but the pain in his left shoulder really could no longer be ignored. Cederic also screamed in annoyance that Steve managed to escape. He immediately packed up his sniper rifle and went back as far as possible because the vehicle David was riding was already filled with police who surrounded the area.

David screamed in annoyance. "Next time I'll make sure to rip your fucking rotten neck with my own hands!"

***

"Aaaakkhhhh! ..." David shouted as Angeline took out a bullet lodged in the flesh of his shoulder at the direction David had given her.

Even though he had doused the bullet hole in his shoulder using alcohol, the pain was still intense.

"Get me the thread and the needle."

Angeline gave David the sewing thread and needle. David threaded the sewing thread into the hole at one end of the needle and tied it with a dead knot and gave it to Angeline.

Now they are inside the apartment room after successfully dodging the various questions the police have given him.

Angeline held the needle and sewing thread. "But, I don't have any experience in sewing, especially if I have to sew a wound like this."

"It's okay, you can see it too, all the stitches on my body are not good. Besides, I almost never got shot in the back, so it was hard for me to stitch up the wound."

"Why don't we just go to the hospital?"

"I don't want to have anything to do with the police, because the hospital will definitely report it whenever a patient has a gunshot wound."

"We can ask them to--"

David took the needle and sewing thread specifically for sewing the wound from Angeline's hand and stabbed it directly into the injured part of his body by himself without saying anything else. He didn't want Angeline to feel forced to do it.

David pulled the needle out and tried to insert it again, but Angeline stopped his hand.

David understood what Angeline was trying to do and gave the needle to Angeline.

Angeline finally did what she could, trying to sew up the gunshot wound on David's back. And finally after four stitches, Angeline cut the special sewing thread and tied it with a dead knot and then cut the remaining thread from the knot using scissors.

David turned to face Angeline, took the needle from his hand and placed it on the table.

Angeline stared at the floor while shedding tears. Seeing this, David pulled Angeline's body closer and hugged her very tightly.

David also brought his face closer to Angeline's ear as he continued to hug her. "Don't ever feel guilty. I protect you because it's my job. I'm sorry for making you have to be dragged into the dark side of my life."

Angeline just kept crying silently, letting David hug her and try to calm her down.

In her heart, Angeline was really sad because until now, David was the one who had always protected her.

The girl felt that she was the most useless person in the world.

More than that.

She felt that she had failed and was far from being worthy of being a wife to David.
