"May we join you? I have so much to give thanks for. " Miko smiles at the boys she has not let on that she knows what they did. Yona smiles at her.
"It would be our honor to spend the day with you. We will meet you at my house tomorrow. Hiroto knows the way." Yona tells her as they leave for home. Shiro hugs Lilli tightly before they leave reluctant to see her go. When they are in the car Yona hugs the boys and thanks them.
"Ahh Dad didn't you know that was our reason for coming. Lilli promised Shiro we would come and try to help his mom. The only problem is that we did have to use some of our Nephilim power to fight that snake in her mind. I hope you will not be angry." Alex tells his father.
"I am not angry I knew what the three of you were doing. You used your power to help someone and so that the promise of the father could be fulfilled. If it was noticed we will deal with it. I don't know if there will be a problem especially since grandfather Uzil is back in Tennessee. " Yona tells the children.
Meanwhile back at Shiro's house Miko is enjoying her family and very grateful for the two boys that banished her demon. When her brother in law's leave she hugs her husband from behind and whispers to him.
"Thank you for these last month's. Most men would have put me away and went about their life. You stayed by my side and took care of me and our children." Miko holds him a little tighter.
"I love you and my brothers are capable in business. I still worked just from home. You and our children are my priority and always will be. I would like to know though why the sudden change, I have taken you to every Dr in Japan in this field none of them could heal you." Akio asks his wife.
"Those boys when they held my hands I felt a fire through my body and mind. The demon that had me trapped there they vanquished it. They just sent a light of pure love through me that no darkness could withstand. And all they did was hold my hands ." Miko hopes that he does not think she is even crazier than before. Akio turns his wife in his arms and holds her close.
"I am glad that they held your hands. To have you back is the most important thing." Akio takes her hand and leads her to their room.
The next morning Yona and the children are ready and waiting for Shiro's family. Lilli hears the car and runs to open the door. The driver has come to inform them that the family is waiting. Yona gets the children and they follow in his car to the temple. William is awe struck when he first sees the temple, he can't wait for the car to stop. The monk comes out and greets them . They hear a commotion coming from the side of the temple.
"Alex you came, I am so happy you have arrived." A young girl races from the school of the temple to greet Alex . Hugging the two boys laugh.
"My darling William we finally get to meet. I have waited so long for your arrival." Kiki kisses his cheek bringing a blush to his face. Alex rolls his eyes at the girl.
"Kiki you are supposed to be learning restraint and kissing strange boys is not restrained." Alex teases her.
"How is kissing my darling William considered kissing a strange boy. I have dreamed of him for four years now. " Kiki puts her hands on her hips and glares at Alex.
"Now Kiki do not get upset you are supposed to be calm at all times getting angry clouds your mind. Breathe deeply." Alex tells her his eyes twinkling with amusement. The older monk starts to laugh at the children.
"Alex it is good to see you and I am happy to finally meet William. Why don't you take them to the garden and you children can have some fun. Kiki would you like fir the children to join you in your combat training today?" The monk asks her.
"Oh yes please that way I can put Alex in his place." Kiki huffs and takes off running towards the garden. The others follow behind her leaving the adults to talk.
" Yona it is good to see you how are the new babies and your lovely wife doing?" The monk asks.
"They are well , Remi sent you some gifts . She noticed that the children had out grown some of their clothing and shoes last time so you will receive a package of bolts of cloth and leather for new clothing. She sent you this just for you though. " Yona hands the monk a box inside is a few hand made breads and sweet pastries. The monk smiles and thanks him.
"I will need to share this or the children will think she forgot them." The monk motions for one of the other monks to come.
"Aisling also sent you a gift, she picked these from our gardens each are labeled so that you know what they are." Yona hands the monk the other large box in the car. The Shiro's family look at him curiously. The monk opens the box and is delighted.
"Your sister in law knows exactly what I was needing. I was nearly out of medicinal herbs. Oh and she added some meditation ones as well. He saw a small box in the bottom on the bags of fresh and dried herbs. Opening it he sees some rough cut gemstones. Calling for another monk to come take the box. He sees a black stone and blessed it. Turning to Miko he hands her the stone.
"This stone will help keep the darkness away. " he tells her. The adults move inside of the temple to pray. They pass the garden and see that the children are on the grass meditating. Yona smiles because if he knows those children they are talking to each other and possibly with the others back home. Those pretenders are not fooling him.
kneeling in front of the Buddha the adults pray and give thanks. The monks are happy that Yona and the children arrived every time they come good fortune follows them. When they have finished their prayers they go to watch the children's combat lessons.
there are around twenty children in attendance.
"I did not realize you had this many children now." Yona looks around the court yard.
" When our children placed in the last marshal arts competition many families started bringing their children here. Your Lilli is very good. In fact she is so good out master wants to have his best student go up against her. " the monk asks Yona.
"That will be up to her, she is not always confident in her abilities and does not like to show them off. For her this is a workout so she is going easy. " Yona tells him. He waved at Lilli to come over.
"The master wants to know if you will spar with his best student?" Yona asks Lilli. Lilli looks around and sees a young monk glaring at her. Smiling she asks
"Is it the sour faced boy over there? If so I will just to knock that look from his face." Lilli looks at the master giving him the challenge answer. They clear the courtyard so that Lilli and the young monk can fight. The monk is twice Lilli's age and size but she is not worried. Lilli hair has come undone and she lets it fall so she can retwist it. It falls nearly to the ground. Everyone gasps as it is unusual for them to see someone outside of a geisha house with such hair. In no time it is twisted and pinned back up where not a strand is out of place. She bows to her opponent and takes her stance. The young monk moves quickly like the river that flows only to be outdone by Lilli. She slips through his attack and hits him hard in the ribs. Sliding under his kick she throws one of her own and gets him in the same spot. Lilli jumps and kicks him hard center of his chest with both feet and lands back on her feel. Watching her fight brings pride to Yona because she has incorporated what HeJin has taught her with the lessons from his uncle. She is a force of nature with out using an ounce of her true power. The monk grabs a pole and starts to attack her. Lilli flips in the air and grabs one to counter attack. Her form is perfect the master asks Yona
"How old is the young lady?"
"She will be eleven on her next birthday" Yona answers him .
"I thought she was the same age as the boy , I am sorry to ask such a young child to fight someone so much older. She already is so skilled." The master watches her with excitement as she knocks the boy out of the circle and the fight is over Lilli won. The boy stand and bows to her in defeat. The master is not happy that his best student got beaten by a child.
" young lady where did you learn to fight?" The master asks Lilli.
"My uncle and my aunt taught me at home. My Aunt was trained by her father in the Teukgong Moosool and my uncle taught me about traditional fighting of my ancestors. All of us children are taught to defend ourselves. We are told never to think about age or size of our opponent just to focus on their weaknesses. Your student does not protect his core and is easily tired from an attack there. I am sorry but I think I may have broken a few of his ribs. I do not know how to ask him if it hurts to breathe." Lilli bows to the master and goes to get a basin of water and a cloth. She comes back and begins to smack the man she just beat on the head making him sit still while she cleans his wounds. The master chuckles at her antics.
"She is going to be a handful when she reaches maturity. You should be proud of her and how well she fights. Most importantly she has a pure heart my student has never lost before not once and to lose to a girl child is embarrassing for him." The master laughs as Lilli smacks the monk again as he won't let her wrap his ribs. She stands with her hands on her hips glaring at him. Alex comes over
"Yum master you might want to get your student to cooperate with Lilli. She does not take defiance well. He is having a difficult time breathing and she knows once she wraps his ribs it will be easier. He is just upset he lost to such a little girl. I swear this child knows nothing about saving a man's ego. I truly do not think she will ever get married if she continues this way." Alex walks away as if to say this is your problem now. The master goes over and takes the cloth strips from Lilli and wraps his students ribs Lilli goes and sits with Shiro who is pouting because she was giving the monk so much attention. Akio turns to Yona and asks.
"Do you think your family would be willing to host Shiro and teach him as you teach your children? I want him to learn to fight like your children do but with humility and kindness. I do not want him to think that fighting is just about strength." Akio watches Yona's reaction.
"My family had already thought about asking you the same. When Jiro visited our home Shiro was interested in the bows that the children have. We do not teach them to fight but to be self sufficient in survival of any circumstance. It was unusual for Lilli to spar with anyone other than her teachers. She does not like to hurt others. If you allow him to come you are always welcome anytime to visit. " Yona tells Akio and Miko.
