14 Kawaii!!

Henry's phone rang while walking with Chris so he answered the call swiftly without looking at who called him.

\"Hello?\"

\"Hey Henry! you still coming to the carnival with me?\"

\"Who is that?\" said Chris looking at Henry who stopped walking all of a sudden.

\"Umm I was about to call you, wan..wanted to know if..if I should come to your house and we could go together\" said Henry in a stuttering voice.

Chris immediately realized that it was Rosie that was calling and he also realized that his friend was completely nervous and was beginning to stutter. Fortunately for Henry, Chris splashed some water from the bottle in his backpack. As soon as the water hit Henry's face he calmed down and started to talk less anxiously.

\"You wanna walk all the way to my house? wouldn't it be easier if I just meet you there?\"

\"Oh right! right! then I'll meet you there, I'm actually on my way now\"

\"I'll see you there then\"

\"Uh yh\"

\"Bye Henry\"

*Beep*

The call had ended but Henry was still frozen on the spot.

\"She makes you nervous huh?\" said Chris who was grinning.

Chris knew that Henry had what it takes but he was too anxious to keep a steady thought. Henry removed his glasses and wiped off the water that was splashed on it by Chris.

\"I really don't think I can do this!\" said Henry in a timid tone.

\"Well you won't know until you try, just go for it and give it all you got, I know you can do it!\"

\"Thanks bro!\" said Henry who had gained his confidence.

Chris looked at his watch, \"It's almost time we better get there first, it would be rude to keep a lady waiting\"

\"Let's go!\"

Chris and Henry arrive at the entrance of the carnival. There were lots of lights, the whole place was so bright, lots of stands with lots of games to play. The ferris wheel was so huge that Henry felt nauseous just thinking about going that high.

\"Well I hope we got here before she did\" said Henry looking around the entrance

\"We could have ran here but you insisted we just walked faster\"

\"Don't you remember the last time we decided to run, it didn't end well!\" said Henry as he was remembering the experience of running to class with Chris.

\"Sigh, don't remind me of that day, I still have aches from that day\".

Sensing that something was about to happen soon Chris gave a stern glance at Henry, \"I'll be watching but you won't know I'll be rooting for you haha!!\"

\"Wait what?! you're ditching me so soon she isn't even here yet\"

\"Exactly!! it's the best time to set up the best spot and watch, a good spy would know this haha!!\" said Chris as he enters into the carnival and disappears in the crowd.

Henry looking a distance as Chris disappears, Henry begins to think out loud, \"He really left me behind, geez he could have at least stayed longer till Rosie gets here now I have to—\"

Henry feels a light tap on his back. He turns around to see who tapped him when a voice sounded out, \"Hey Henry! you look nice\"

As he turned around he saw Rosie, she was wearing denim shorts, sandals and a white t-shirt with the words 'Kawaii' on it.

(Nb: Kawaii is Japanese for cute, it's characters are written as 可愛い)

Henry was shocked by how cute Rosie looked, she looked even cuter than before. She looked so cute and innocent that she could turn heads.

Rosie had a confused look on her face as she called out again, \"I couldn't recognize you a second ago but I noticed your glasses\"

Rosie gave a gentle smile as she finished speaking. Henry was in a daze at the moment and was lost for words, he kept thinking to himself 'How can someone be that cute!', he immediately replied wittily, \"I like your shirt, it's really cute on you\"

After he spoke those words, he immediately got a thought in his mind, 'I should have told her she looks cute not the shirt looks cute, what is wrong with you'

Rosie smiled and replied, \"Thanks, I really like Japanese culture, especially the anime!!\"

While still trying to gather his thoughts Henry didn't really hear what Rosie said. He calmed down and asked,

\"You like what?\"
