Chapter 265 - The Sunrise

Robert looked up at the sky and Rachel followed his gaze to look at the yellow and orange lights breaking themselves through the sky behind a snow covered mountains. It looked so beautiful as they were surrounded by trees around them and they could see the sun rise in front of them and at this height it was so clearly visible.

Robert held her from behind tightly, his chest against her back and she tilted her head back to rest on his chest. He looked at how bright her eyes had turned which only meant she enjoyed the scene.

She looked at the sky, the yellow shades slowly started turning to only the shades of orange. The clouds slowly began to move to the sides giving way to the sun to rise up. It slowly made it's way up some parts of it still covered by the clouds which slowly began to disperse away giving way to the sun until it was completely up in the sky.

With every moment of the sun, Rachel's expressions changed, she was mesmerized by it. Seeing this felt even more special because of the person she was seeing it with because as she was enjoying the nature's beauty, she could feel Robert's gaze on her. His eyes never left her face as they took in every change in her expression, he never wanted to see the sunrise as he had watched it so many times, all he wanted to do was take in the beauty of the person with him.

Rachel felt his gaze on her but she didn't say anything as she enjoyed him watching her but his action sure made her cheeks turn red. After she was done watching the sunrise, she turned around to look into his eyes lifting her head up from his shoulder "I enjoyed my view, how about you."

He smiled knowing very well what she meant, he held her chin in his fingers and said "I can never be satisfied by seeing my view, it's never sufficient."

One side of Rachel's lip pulled up and she pushed him away lightly "That I can see, did you come here often."

He nodded his head to which Rachel replied "It was spectacular, I feel like all nerves in my body have calmed down."

"Hmm, maybe I have that effect of you." he teased.

She chuckled "Sure whatever makes you happy" she teased back.

Robert then brought her down on the land, she could not feel her feet for a while as she had been away from the had floor for some time, her legs were not ready to carry her weight yet as they were shaking but Robert held to her tightly and smiling he said shall we go "Shall we go now."

She nodded so Robert took her to the horse, still holding her firmly, he made her sit on it first and then climbed behind her holding the reins of the horse, Rachel placed her hands on his and looked back at him "Teach me how to ride it, I want to learn."

"Alright, hold the reins." he replied calmly and as Rachel did that, he let go of them. Rachel panicked and began pulling at them "What are you doing, I don't know how to do this."

He smiled and then wrapped his arms around her again holding her hand and steadily began to pull at the reins as he slowly spoke in her ear "It is very simple just keep yourself steady and do not move much."

She watched his movements keenly before following them, her expression was so serious as if she was readying herself for a fight which made Robert smile but he didn't say anything and just enjoyed watching her as he slowly let go of the reins and Rachel began to ride on her own.

She followed his every step and everything was perfectly fine with her until they came to the end of a cliff, it was because Robert had brought her in a different direction to show her how the place looked from the height. Rachel began to panic as she didn't know how to stop and as a result of the change in her posture and movements the horse began to move much faster towards the end of the cliff when she finally spoke "Stop it!"

Robert was enjoying the view so he felt the urge to tease her a little and said "You have to stop it on your own, now our lives are in your hands."

For this moment Rachel completely forgot that Robert had wings and that he was immortal and could not die, she began to panic as she didn't know what to do and they were inching towards the edge with every second, she shouted this time "Rob, stop messing around and help me."

It was so hard for him to suppress his laughter as he enjoyed the look on her face, it felt adorable and suppressing his laughter, he said "No! I am not doing it, do it yourself."

Rachel turned around to see the serious look on his face and when she turned to look forward a mischievous smile crept on his face. She felt that both of them were definitely gonna die at her hands and looking at Robert who was not willing to do anything, she realized it was useless arguing with him. She was prepared to die now, her heart was racing and as they came to the end of the cliff, she panicked and closed her eyes letting go of the reins ready to fall down, a loud scream escaped her throat. She waited for the fall to begin but it didn't happen, she was still seated in her place and she felt that Robert had moved even more closer to her. She slowly opened her eyes to see why they were not falling and she saw Robert holding the reins.

She kept a hand over her chest to calm down her racing heart and then she suddenly turned around punching Robert in the face who was now laughing at her. He had not expected this and it did hurt him as his nose began to bleed, he placed the hand over his nose saying "Ahh, that hurt."

Rachel was furious "Well that good because what you did right now was not funny, I thought we were both gonna die, I panicked."

He let go of the reins and placed his hands around her stomach as he said "I just wanted to mess around with you moreover I caught the reins as soon as you let go."

A tear rolled down her eyes as she spoke "It was not funny, I was scared."

He held her tighter and kissed her neck "I am sorry but did you forget I have wings, we could have flown up."

She gave him a death stare and he then apologized again "Alright, I am sorry, I will never do that again."

She nodded her head, her heart was still racing as it had not calmed down so Robert placed a kiss on her forehead again whispering "I am so sorry."

Slowly a smile crept on her face and she said "Let's go back."

He nodded and then they turned around this time Rachel didn't hold the reins and it was Robert who took the horse to the stable. As they begin to walk Rachel held his hand and then looked at him "What are we going to see next."

Robert began to think "There are so many places I want to show you that I don't know where to begin."

"Why don't you start showing me all the things in the order that you found them here."

"Sounds good but before that do you think we should go and check on Jessica."

Rachel nodded her head "Yes, we should go and meet her before your mother gets to her and manipulate her and I have not seen her in so long, I want to see how she is."

Robert nodded and then took her to a large open area where a helicopter was already ready for them. He made her sit in and he himself went to the other seat to pilot it. Rachel smiled "You must know how to do everything in this world."

He gave it a thoughtful look before his lips pulled up into a smile "There is something that I don't know."

Rachel had seen him do everything perfectly, he knew how to do everything that when he said that there was something he could not do, she got too excited and almost jumped out of her seat saying "What is it?"

He grinned but dodged her question "If I tell you that, I won't be the perfect person in your eyes as you see me and I don't want to ruin that so you can't know."

She gritted her teeth before a smile appeared on her face "You know what, you are too mean."

He didn't respond to that but simply smiled and then he sat in his position readying himself to fly. He looked at Rachel who had a panicked look on her face so he asked "What happened?"
