Chapter 47 - Impulse Buying

Emma is going back to the hotel after lunchtime when they are eating their lunch in the hotel before Ai Jia is arranging the bigger car for them to take home grandmother from the hospital.

Emma is arranging a nurse to take care of her grandmother. They are going to the hospital to pick her up and take her home. They are rushing home as one of their cousin wedding events start tonight with the procession of giving a lot of stuff to the girl family.

They are going to aunty Santi house and settle grandmother for her room before Vito and AI Jia are sitting in the front area with the lounge.

"Do not get too formal! This is the family house and your mother and I grow up in this house," Aunt Santi is telling her the story about her late mother. She still remembers this house same as her childhood.

The condition does not change with the building gets really old. Vito is not looking comfortable sitting on the outdated sofa. The furniture is old but still usable and really basic.

"Darling, come here," Vito is waving his hand into Emma in the living room.

"Yes."

"This house can be falling down soon, and it is not safe at all. look at the crack surrounding the house and the plafond to cover the roof leaks from the rain. This is not a healthy environment for grandmother to live in," Vito tries to show the house condition to Emma who is a health practitioner. Emma seems to agree with her husband opinion when she can see the mouldy plafond and some mould wall condition. This condition is not safe for the grandmother condition.

"What do you have in your mind?" Emma is asking his opinion regarding the house.

"Move to some apartment and we renovate this house. I see the house next to this house is on sale, so we can make the grandmother house bigger. Is Aunty living alone in this house?" Vito is wiping his sweat on his forehead from the humid condition in this country. The worst part is this house not having air condition or a fan. Emma is using a sleeveless blouse with a short which showcase her slender leg.

"I have to ask the opinion from Aunty Santi. We can't just move them from this house as it will offend them. My aunty is divorced because her husband has affair with another woman. Her son is in another country to work. It leaves her alone with my grandmother while my other uncle and aunt live with their husband. the one who gets married this week is from my mother second brother," Emma is explaining to her husband.

"How many children is your grandmother has?" Vito is opening the cold mineral water receives by Ai Jia and pass it to me. Aunty Santi is busy inside their grandmother's room to make her comfortable.

"She has six children. Two girls and four boys," Emma try to remember and recall all the memories from her childhood.

"Why is no one caring about their parents living conditions?" Vito is asking her with contemplation in his mind about her maternal family condition. This house is too old and unliveable for an old lady like a grandmother.

"I really do not know to answer your question. However, the grandmother does not like to talk about money in her family," Emma told him about her grandmother character. Emma has to wreck her brain to recall all the memories with her maternal family from her previous life.

At the same time, Aunt Santi come out from grandmother room and saw them in the front area and drinking cold mineral water.

"I am sorry for making you wait, but grandmother just fall to sleep before the event this evening," Aunt Santi is telling us while putting the portable fan in their direction.

"Aunt, come here and sit. My husband wants to give something for grandmother," Emma is getting her toward the seat next to her to discuss the house condition.

"What it is?" Aunt Santi is taking the seat next to Emma to listen to the discussion.

"I am thinking to renovate this house to be a decent living quarter for grandmother and you. I believe the roof is leaking and there are cracked in the wall. I do not think this condition is good for grandmother recovery," Vito is asking his aunt-in-law about her opinion.

"I am thinking about renovating this house. But I am still getting the fund to get there. I can't ask anyone about the money for renovating the house. This is not your responsibility," Aunt Santi is telling her objection about his plan.

"I am insisting aunt for the ease of mind for Grandmother condition. We really can't let grandmother suffer for the prolonged condition of her health. Unless you let us bring Grandmother back to our country and we will make sure to take care of grandmother really well," Vito is starting to bargain on his side.

"What do you mean? Are you flaunting your wealth in front of me?" Aunt Santi is getting the wrong idea.

"It's not liked that Aunt Santi. I am a surgeon, and I am well aware of my grandmother health condition. Her living quality can determine her recovery rate. At this stage, I am really worried about her condition in this house. There is mould everywhere which can create another health problem for grandmother. Please do not refuse our good willing proposal aunty," Emma tries to coax her to accept the arrangement.

"let's say if we move out from this house for renovation, where are we going to live in this house got renovated?" Aunt Santi is asking for suggestions as to her concern about being homeless. It means something happens in the family which she hides from Emma.

"I already arrange a small apartment for aunty and grandmother to live in until the house finishes its renovation. Or you prefer a house instead?" Vito is letting her aunt know her option.

"The apartment will be enough for us. As long as your grandmother has a big bathroom and elevator." Aunt Santi is giving the request for grandmother well-being.

"All already take care. When are you going to move? The nurse is going to stay with you and grandmother," Vito is informing her aunty for the nurse to take care of grandmother.

"I need time to pack up. is the apartment ready?" Aunt Santi is asking him about his word.

"Yes, Ai Jia already go there to make sure it will be ready for grandmother condition. I am going to get a special car with the driver for Grandmother. She needs a car which can make her comfortable during the travelling time," Vito is telling her about his arrangement.

"Honey, are you really have a warehouse of money somewhere? I know about your wealth and position, but I never know that I marry a money tree," Emma is whispering in her husband ear.

"You will have the share of my wealth as long as you make me happy on the bed," Vito is teasing her about their marriage life which makes Emma get blushed with his idea. He has made her not able to wake up this morning due to their lovemaking activities. Her husband turns into a beast when they are in the bed.

"Aunt, what time is the event? And where are we going to go?" Emma tries to change the topic when Vito is resting his arm on her thigh on the lounge.

"Around six o'clock. I have to get your grandmother ready soon and I have to get her wheelchair borrowed from the pharmacy nearby," Aunt Santi is standing up to get her job done.

"Aunt, Ai Jia is already on his way back to the apartment with Grandmother new car and her wheelchair. You just need to sit back and rest. You have been busy taking care of grandmother lately and I am feeling bad," Vito is informing his aunty about the whole arrangement. And it is not long before Aunt Santi turns her back to face Vito and the new Alphard pulled into in front of the house.

The door is opening and AI Jia with the driver get the new wheelchair for grandmother. He brings the wheelchair inside the house.

"boss, the apartment is ready and the name already transferred into madame name," Ai Jia is reporting to his boss. Vito is buying the whole building one of the hotel and service apartments in the west of the city including the whole mall.

Andrea in the hotel already got a heart attack to do all the transfer of funds from his private fund into the company in Indonesia. He has to do all the paperwork and company registration base on his boss impulse buying. He keeps buying property and company to impress or make his wife happy. The problem is not about his impulse buying but the deadline set to accomplish all his tasks.. Andrea needs something to calm his nerve for his bosses wish.
