Chapter 56 - The Date Between The Older Generation

"Have you done yelling at the computer screen, grandfather?" Vito is telling him with an inexpression face.

"You dare to say something like that to me. Oh God, please take my life now. all my grandsons are useless, and I live alone try to preserve the family heirloom and reputation," Grandpa Sun is trying to act pity in front of his grandson. He is trying to flatter his grandson in reality but every time he fails to do it.

"Do you want me to send you the knife or poison?" Vito tells his grandfather in open about his plan for suicide.

"Do you really want to kill your own grandfather?" Grandfather Sun is getting work up with his grandson answer.

"You told me about your plan for taking your own life. I just try to facilitate it as my filial duty." Vito is talking as usual in short sentences. He knows his grandfather must have something in his mind until he needs to lower himself to seek his grandson audience.

"Look! You always like to make me angry and do not want to help this poor old person. Forget it! I will go and shave my hair bald. "No. No needs. One wife is good. Take care of your wife and do not let her run away," Grandfather Sun said nicely and try to tell his assistant to cut off the video call before his grandson changes his mind.

Grandfather Sun is smiling to see his grandson change expression and his loving gaze when he said about his wife.

"Yang, get the best wedding dowry and we are going to the Yin family. Invite the old lady for some dinner. I have to support and become the good old generation to speak their marriage," Grandfather Sun is telling his loyal assistant about his plan.

"Yes, sir. I will contact Old lady Yin to arrange it tonight," Assistant Yang is letting him know about his wishes.

In the Yin mansion, Grandmother Yin is sitting and enjoying her daily movie after the gardening. There is assistant Yang coming to the living area with the pack of servants carry all the gifts for the bride family.

"Madame Yin, I am bringing this present as a gift for the beginning of the matrimony of our two families. My master did not aware of the young master marriage earlier and he is apologizing for his negligence. If you are free tonight, He has arranged dinner tonight in the Sun Ming restaurant," Assistant Yang is explaining his master intention and relay the message.

"Haiyooo, tell the old Sun not to be so courteous. The youngster decides their marriage by themselves, and we only can support their decision. Can we meet up around five? I am not getting used to sleeping late," Madame Yin is telling her politely when Lin Yan arrives at the living room of the family.

Lately, Lin Yan tries to savage her image and work endlessly. She takes the whole schedule gives by her company without any complaint. She even really care about all her steps and act after the scandal. She even did not pester brother Han Zheng to meet up. However, she is trying to lure Ru Ya to see her daily activity and schedule.

Sometimes, Lin Yan is only sending a lunch package into his office with a small note of apologising. And she stops only until he actually sends a text to express his gratitude.

Lin Yan just finishes her last work on the day when she says all the gifts in the living room and the person left the living room. She is looking at her leisured grandmother on the sofa.

"Who is that grandmother?" Lin Yan is smiling and sitting next to her grandmother. She needs to put her sweetest expression on her face.

"The person sent by your brother-in-law family. Are you finished for the day?" Grandmother Lin is holding her hand with a loving gaze.

"I am just finished for the last event today. How about I take you for a nice meal outside?" Lin Yan tries to be on her grandmother good side again. She is putting her head into her grandmother's shoulder to get closer to her.

"I can't tonight as I have an appointment soon with the old man Sun. I will ask Madame Ma to make you some dinner if you want," Grandmother Lin is telling her granddaughter. She knows her granddaughter well enough to know each of their personality.

"Okay. I will rest up in my room and I will ask Madame Ma to send me the dinner. Have fun grandma," Lin Yan is standing up and walks to her room to changes up. This time, she is going to use her disguise to sneak out.

It has been a long time for her not to get fun outside the house. Tonight, she needs to release her tense nerve to walk in thin ice every day.

"Can you prepare my usual private room?" Lin Yan is making a call to someone from inside her room. she is quickly getting ready and wait inside her room until the maid delivers her meal.

The night is coming when she saw her grandmother dress up and go with her chauffeur to her appointment. She did not know all her grandmother acquaintances, so she really does not think so much for her.

In the Sun Ming restaurant owns by the Sun family, Grandfather Sun is waiting inside the VIP room. Grandmother Lin is walking inside with her walking stick and enters the room where Grandfather Sun is enjoying the fresh brew tea.

This restaurant is serving traditional local cuisine and preserve the traditional way of their culture. The waitress is still brewing the best tea leaves from the mountain and brew it in the clay pot. The teacup is also made with a special clay.

"Madame Lin, nice to meet you. Please sit down," Grandfather Sun is telling her politely when she enters the room.

"Cut the chase old Sun. We know each other since we were in high school." Grandmother Lin is smacking the shoulder of old Sun as usual.

"You did not change, Old Lin," Grandfather Sun is laughing after getting her to sit down. He is sitting on the seat next to her chair.

"How long have we eaten together like this? Fifteen years?" Grandmother Lin is cleaning her hand with the warm towel on the table. She is sipping the tea in front of her. "This is my favourite tea."

"I remember correctly. I might marry you if you do not elope with someone to leave me," Old Sun is telling her without any restraint to be happy to get a reunion with his best friend. She is the only girl who dares to talk back with him.

"I marry because of money. If you are richer than him before, I will marry you," Grandmother Lin is laughing and return his word.

"I know it. Should I marry you now?" Grandfather Sun is proposing to her inside of this private room.

"Are we here to talk about our grandchildren marriage or our marriage?" Grandmother Lin is teasing him as usual. Sun Yen Hoon is a notorious businessman with a reputation in this city.. However for her, he was always the sweet boy Sun who always become her best friend and protect her.
