Chapter 59 - The Incident

"I am fine. I just take a bath just now. I will be finished soon." Emma yelled to Vito regarding her time in the bathroom. She is puzzled to know about the reason behind of his husband restrain on their relationship.

It won't take a long time before Emma is coming out from the bathroom with a bathrobe on her body. She changes into the cocktail dress from famous Italian designer pair with Vito suits. The makeup team is coming to her dress room to change her hair and do a makeover on her face. she decides to use a contact lens for the occasion.

The dress colour pink pastel look contrast and perfectly pair with the navy blue suit use by Vito. They change her hair into wavy with a small piece of the hairpin to show the elegant looks. While she got glam looks on her face.

Vito is opening a velvet box and gives her a Chopard set of diamonds for her to use. Emma looks at her with a different look and still have a big question mark before her aunt knock and comes inside their room.

"Ahiyoooo, you look so like your mother. You are so beautiful," Aunt Santi got all teary with her niece looks assembly of her mother.

"Am I? thank you, aunty. Are you finished with your makeup?" Emma is looking astonishing beautiful while the team is making out Vito's hair.

"Yes, Grandmother is having her breakfast and medication before we are going to church. Apparently, the bride family is going to held a double wedding for both of their daughters today. I supposed grandmother as their senior need to give double red envelope," Aunt Santi is telling her before she is going out of the room.

"Aunt, we are going to leave tomorrow due to my husband work. You and your grandmother will live in this house until the grandmother house is finished to build. Vito is going to cover all the expenses on both houses, so do not worry about anything," Emma is holding her aunt's hand and express her gratitude toward her aunt kindness.

"Why are you leaving so soon? Grandmother will not be happy to hear this news," Aunt Santi got all teary with the sudden news.

"Please help me to tell this matter to grandmother as my husband really needs to be back in his company. Please be kind to the newlywed like me," Emma is begging her aunt with all of her effort to showcase her sweet face.

"Promise me that you will be back. Our house is always open for you and your husband," Aunt Santi is reassuring her niece for the whole family relationship. Emma is nodding her head to agree with her aunt wishes to visit them again.

They are going out of their bedroom to see their grandmother just finished drinking her medicine. The nurse is pushing her grandmother to the lobby area to go to the church for her grandson marriage nuptial.

In the church, the marriages of Jonathan and Anita are proceeding in the main hall so romantically even it is not as grand as the normal wedding. Hence, many people come to tears to see the whole events come down really beautifully.

Emma is stealing a look at her aloof husband next to her. His security protocol is securing the whole ground. Max starts to secure the venue and checking every corner before they are getting the Xray gate for the guest. Some of his subordinates are checking all the car come into the church with the church security and some of them is checking the guest which entering inside the main hall. As usual, Ai Jia is making a generous donations to the church on the behalf of Vito for all the checkpoints in the church.

Emma really can't read her husband mind. If he is only using her for his own toy for time being instead of being sincere with her. If the case is like her feeling, she needs to stop her own feeling to fall deeply for him.

Vito realises his wife on a trance hold her hand and get her closer to his body. They did not realise about Celine, who is angrily peeking from the side door.

"I promise you to make you the grandest wedding after we go back to the C city," Vito is whispering to her ears.

"Thank you. I do not worry about this kind of wedding. We are legally married, so we have time to make it happen," Emma is telling him about the whole arrangement. At least, if he gets bored with Emma then she still can save her face from humiliation.

Celine almost wants to launch herself to Emma but one of her relatives for the in-law holds her tightly. She only can clench her hand to see her sits down nicely with her expensive makeup.

The marriage nuptials went as expected and the bride family continues in the side room for their second daughter marriage nuptial. This marriage is pushing earlier because of the scandal that happen earlier. The second daughter caught as the third wheel of older person marriage. The parent tries to salvage their family reputation and marry her.

They are going back to rest while Vito is going to the study room with Ai Jia and Andrea to work. They are preparing all the necessary for the Sun family meeting on the weekend. It will be interesting when Vito agrees to participate in the meeting.

The Sun family is the head of all triad and underworld in the South Asia area. Their reputation is going back to the beginning of the opium war.

The makeup team is coming back to do touch up and changing their hair and make up for the reception. This time, they are going to use the expensive gown made by a designer for the royal family. Vito is going to use his Italian designer suit to match his wife gown.

they are going down to the ballroom to continue for the reception. As expected, they are sitting in a special table in the ring of the groom family. Their table is not included in the charge to the family. As expected, Vito personal chef is preparing the luxurious dishes for their table with a special ingredients. This time, he did not want to get poison again like last time. This time, he put the drug on Emma body back to Celine.

No one can touch the strain of his wife body when he is with her. However, Vito feels his wife distant behaviour in the evening. But Vito did not want to ask her and make her upset. She tries to pretend nothing happen to her.

They are enjoying the whole reception and the dancing for the entertainment. There is some singer to entertain the whole guest and the food also keep coming out to every table.

Emma did not feel to eat so much due to the thing in her heart. It looks like a big stone inside her heart and on her neck. Out of a sudden, her phone is ringing. There is a call from Luo Han Zheng. Vito can see a glance at the name on her phone before she walks away from the table and picks up the phone.

"yes, Emma is speaking," Emma is answering with her cold tone toward her nemesis. She still can't forget his mean and cold face try to torture her and their unborn kid.

"Where are you?" Han Zheng is asking her with his loving gaze.

"Why do you care? You have your own wife at home and yet, you are asking about my position," Emma is answering harshly when she still can't forget about his torture on her body. She got goosebumps from remembering all the stuff he did with her adopted sister.

"Your grandmother is in hospital at the moment. Lin Yan is hysterical in front of the emergency room and calls me to inform you and help her," Han Zheng is informing her about the news.

"Which hospital is my grandmother now?" Emma got all panicky. She almost forgets around this month of the year when her grandmother slips in the bathroom and later on, Lin Yan slips some poison to make her grandmother lose all her mobility. Lin Yan is changing her grandmother's will to avoid her own marriage to Vito.

"The Qin university hospital. Can you come quickly?" Han Zheng can not wait to meet her again after a while.

"I am in my maternal grandmother country. I will be back now and arrives at the hospital in the morning. Can you help me to oversee my grandmother?" Emma is asking for help from him on the phone before she closes down the connection.

She calls her own boss, professor Lim to ask for some help to take care of her grandmother. Apparently, Emma's grandmother is still in the emergency room to get all the tests and access by the ER doctor.. Professor Lim is so happy to get a phone call from Emma and she personally asks for help from him.
