89 Chapter 89: The Hunt-4

Those cold words sent chills down Steve's spine.

Hak's hand froze midway as he looked at Loki in shock. He had never seen Loki volunteer to take care of trash. His eyes glanced at Loki to only gulp in fear.

Hak thought, 'I never thought I would see so many expressions on his deadpan face.'

Loki might seem like the aloof type but only the Heroes Council knew what lay underneath that aloofness. Cold-blooded, vicious could be used to describe him. He was the silent one among them but he was also the most devious one. Once he is let loose, no one other than Hazel can control him.

Hak scrunched his brows in worry when he thought of how to stop him later if he takes extreme actions. He knew Loki would never kill him but his ways aren't exactly mild.

But, Hak didn't want to protect this scum. So, he left shaking his head as he thought of reasons to save them from their President's wrath.

Steve shuddered in fear when he felt his surroundings grow colder. He instinctively rubbed his arms hoping to keep himself warm but his eyes widened when his gaze landed on the lion who was slowly rising from the ground.

Steve watched Loki smirk at him as he shook his head, messing his hair. His hands went through his hair making the bangs fall onto his forehead. He folded his sleeves as he slowly paced towards Steve.

He looked like a demon walking out from the gates of Hell.

His entire demeanor exhibited a dangerous aura but his eyes were the scariest. Those cold murderous eyes locked at him making Steve feel he was trapped in a cage.

Steve looked at him frightened as he kept moving backward but soon his back crashed against a solid wall. His body trembled when he figured that he has no escape. His eyes widened in fear when he saw Loki squat in front of him.

Loki tilted his head and looked at him coldly. He was enjoying the fear in his eyes. He smirked, "What happened to you?"

He stretched his hand to grab his neck. An amused smirk formed on his face when he saw Steve quiver badly.

He scoffed, "Weren't you arrogant a few minutes back?"

Loki wrapped his hands around his neck. He squeezed his neck as he questioned, "Weren't you excited when you were forcing yourself on her? Where did that excitement go? Come on, show me that excited face."

Steve slapped his hand repeatedly when he felt he can't breathe. He struggled and his face grew red. He thought he was going to die when he felt Loki let go of his hold. Steve collapsed on the floor coughing loudly as he tried to fell his aching lungs with air.

Loki smirked coldly as he remarked, "I'm not going to make it that easy for you. You should know what despair, desperation feels like."

"If you look at her again, I might gouge those eyes."

Hearing the cold warning, Steve hurriedly turned his gaze away from her and looked at Loki who was scowling at him.

Loki kicked his face and stomped on his chest hard. He heard a few cracks but ignored it as he stared at him disgustingly and demanded, "Which hand did he use to touch you?"

Hearing no response, Loki looked at Stella with his cold eyes. He noticed shock passing through those pretty golden orbs. He narrowed his eyes when he saw her face paled looking at him.

He scoffed in his mind, 'Huh? Even she's scared of me'

Yet, he asked her again irritatedly, "Which hand?"

Stella's body quivered hearing his irritated voice that she shook her head quickly.

She didn't know... How was she supposed to take notice of that?

Loki sighed, "I see... Well then, looks like we have no other choice."

Right after he said that, a piercing yell echoed in the alley. Loki's eyes gleamed as he looked at the pathetic broken hand under his feet. He smirked when he saw Steve crying miserably as he cradled his broken hand to his chest.

Disgusted, he kicked his stomach making Steve curl into a ball. Snorting, Loki picked him up and slammed him against the wall. Steve hit his head against the wall and groaned loudly but soon he felt coldness around his other hand. Steve opened his wide and saw a smirk on Loki's face as he grasped his hand tightly.

A crack soon rang in Stella's ears making her glance at the scum. She saw him crying and thrashing against the wall. His broken hands laid on his two sides as he screamed in agony.

Her eyes shifted to the demon who helped her. To her surprise, he was looking at her..more like observing her.

Stella raised her eyebrow in surprise.

'Wait? Did he think she would be afraid of him?

Stella wasn't a fool.. she knew what he did was for her. She knew this world didn't have a place for the weak and kind. She wanted Steve to die, she didn't care about the consequences, she wanted his death.

Loki's lips curled up when he saw the determination in her golden eyes. His eyes shifted towards the noisy man annoyed. He let go of his hand making Steve slump to the ground. He kicked his stomach and warned, "Shut up"

Steve curled into a ball as he whimpered in pain. Right now, all he wished was for him to let him go. His eyes shifted to Stella angrily. He should have killed that bitch sooner and escaped before they came. He glared at her and made a vow mentally to make her pay for all this.

Loki scoffed on seeing his face, "Do you think I will let you live?"
