Xia Sheng had just acquired the Huo Corporation when she rushed to the Huo Family. She happened to see Huo Ye being put in a spot by the Huo family. It was simply outrageous to see Huo Ye being humiliated and trampled on by such a group of shameless people.

It was fortunate that she had Mingzhu keep an eye on him. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have known that Huo Ye had run away without a word and ended up running back to the Huo Family.

“Do you think it’s a big deal to bully him with so many people?!” Xia Sheng put her hands on her hips angrily. She looked like a little chick that was full of fighting spirit and was not afraid of anything.

“Aren’t you guys taking advantage of the fact that it’s inconvenient for him to move around? That’s why you dare to act so brazenly. Aren’t you afraid of being laughed at by others for bullying a person with an injured leg?”

Old Master Huo and everyone else had ugly expressions on their faces. They only knew that Xia Sheng was a country girl, but they did not expect her to be so rude.

Huo Cheng’s wife’s face was full of disdain as she criticized her harshly, “This is our Huo family’s business. Why are you, a foreign country girl, joining in the fun?!”

Xia Sheng refused to be outdone and glared back at her. “Huo Ye is my husband, how did I become an outsider?!” Since she dared to snatch Huo Ye openly, she could do other things. Luckily, there were not many good people in the Huo family. The people in front of her were all rotten to the core, so there was no need to be polite.

Huo Cheng tried to use his identity to threaten Xia Sheng, forcing her to give in. “Even if you’re married to him, this is the Huo family’s business, it’s not your place to interrupt.”

Little did they know that Xia Sheng was waiting for this opportunity. She took out a document slowly and waved it in front of everyone.

Huo Cheng’s face alternated between green and white as he trembled in anger. “How could you have shares?!”

Xia Sheng flipped her hair and said calmly, “Of course, I used proper means to acquire it!” She sneered and glanced at everyone present before saying calmly, “I’m the boss of the Huo Corporation now. You’d better be polite to me. If you dare to criticize my man again, don’t blame me for being heartless!”

Huo Ye silently watched as Xia Sheng rendered the Huo family speechless. For some reason, it felt good to be protected.

How could Old Master Huo tolerate Xia Sheng shouting at him? He could not maintain his dignity and immediately acted like an elder. “Is this how you talk to your elders? You have no manners at all? Who asked you to offend your elders?!”

But before Xia Sheng could speak, Huo Ye took the lead to step forward. “Then do you have the attitude of an elder?”

Old Master Huo was even angrier. He even scolded Huo Ye, “Even an ingrate like you dares to talk back to me. I’ve raised you for so many years in vain!”

“Raise me?” Huo Ye only felt that it was ironic, as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world. “Don’t you hate to see me the most? Every time you see me, won’t you think of the ridiculous things you did to your daughter-in-law and wish you could strangle me?”

“I shouldn’t have kept you!” Old Master Huo was so angry that he couldn’t care less about covering up for his family.

From these people’s words, Xia Sheng obtained huge amounts of information. As she thought about the Huo family’s attitude towards Huo Ye, she gradually understood Huo Ye’s background and her heart ached. Seeing that there was no end to these people, she immediately made a call and gave a few instructions.

She patted Huo Ye and tried to persuade him. “Since you don’t treat my husband as a family, then I don’t have to be polite with you!”

Old Master Huo’s eyebrows twitched. He suddenly felt that Xia Sheng was up to no good. “What did you do again?”

Xia Sheng lifted her chin and looked at Old Master Huo arrogantly. “You’ll know later!”

Soon, a group of well-dressed men barged into the living room. A trace of surprise flashed past Huo Ye’s deep eyes. He was suddenly curious about what Xia Sheng was up to. “What do you want to do?”

Seeing this, Xia Sheng shook her head. “Of course it’s for you.” She clapped her hands and ordered, “Let’s start.”

Huo Ye did not ask further.

Suddenly, the sound of something breaking attracted everyone’s attention. The group of thugs suddenly appeared and started throwing the small objects in the living room. The cups and teapots were not spared. Porcelain pieces kept falling to the ground.

The members of the Huo family watched with fear and trepidation. Huo Cheng’s wife screamed in agony, “Butler, throw these scoundrels out!”

Unfortunately, no one listened to her.

With Xia Sheng’s instructions, this group of people only picked cheap items to smash. Old Master Huo wanted to stop them, but he was stopped by Xia Sheng’s sharp tongue.

Even though Old Master Huo was experienced and knowledgeable, he had never seen a scoundrel like Xia Sheng. He was so angry that his face turned pale. “Do you think you can come and go as you please? What do you think our Huo family is?!”

“You were the ones who didn’t give me face first. I’m just returning a tooth for a tooth!”

Xia Sheng felt happy from the bottom of her heart. She couldn’t be bothered with how the Huo Family handled themselves, so she pushed Huo Ye away and left..
