Chapter 109 - New Look

Handsome

He is now looking very handsome, with a standard of face value in his past life, he can define himself as very handsome.

Even though it is slightly dark and it seems that only a little feiry light lit up the inside of the cave, using his extremely strong perception he can see his image.

He can see himself clearly on the blood river, blood that came from the bloody horde of snakes that is used against him by the bloody doll woman.

His look is truly handsome, if he weren't wearing tattered armor, it wouldn't be perfect.

But it looks so evil especially his red eyes...

Wait...

What...?

Red eyes, Jomel is surprised.

Probably this is why he can see something on the woman's information.

Earlier he thought that it is just a hallucination but he can see clearly on the women or bloody woman's information.

It's just a little bit of information on where she came from but not her moves or anything like her hidden talents.

It is not a system!

Repeat!

It is not a system of information data, it just appears on his mind and if he organized it, it would look like this.

Grootslang sword.

Sword created from a tree that from the deceased corpse of a Soul-Beast that accidentally gotten in, inside a Stone Soul-Galaxy.

It was a Legendary type of Soul-Beast, extremely fearsome.

There is a cave known as the "Wonder Hole" or the "Bottomless Pit". Supposedly, it connects to the sea, which is 64 kilometers (40 mi) away.

According to local legend, the cave is filled with diamonds. The Grootslang is also said to live in warm rivers and lakes and prey on Soul-Beast creatures that are living on the water.

Grootslangs covet gems, particularly diamonds, and despite the creatures' lust for cruelty, victims can often bargain for their freedom by offering a Grootslang enough precious gems.

And from the toughness of the sword, Jomel is sure that it was from a very high-level Soul-Beast.

That's the only information Jomel had of, his sword when he happened to look like it but it feels like there is more to it.

Like why and how did it die since he is on lost to a smaller world, something like that.

But he is convinced that no wonder it is too strong, even a passage of time cannot take it down.

He looked at himself again, and then another information revealed. He now knew how this crimson eyes of his can do.

It can give any information about anything, person or beings.

But he is not sure though he needed to test it once he is out of here.

Before that, he needed to rest and fix himself with his tattered clothes. The cave looks like a room, and he hopes to find clothes.

KASHAAKK!!!

KASHAAKK!!!

He searched every cabinet in every place, he walks from where he came from then comes back here.

He tried to test if his eyes can see the details on any being whether it is alive or not.

And his test result is that he can not see the information of the being that is already dead.

But he needed to try a few more of that.

Finally, he found clothes.

It is clothes that only wear by an aristocrat like an aristocrat vest.

Jomel using his crimson eyes looked at the clothing he found.

It was a Victorian gentleman's vest with class.

Jomel thinks that it would surely look great for formal occasions, can be worn under a suit jacket or by itself.

It is made in a rich black-on-black tapestry fabric with black satin lining and back. This vest has a very flattering tapered fit and ties in the back with satin belting so it can be made tighter in the waist. Fastens in front with six metal buttons.

He likes it, must have been well kept by that woman, it surely has an aura of her, when he took it.

Earlier he found a mirror, he looked at himself and it was looking great, surely no one would notice him that it was him.

He then observed himself more, for he looks very much familiar.

Yes, a very familiar one.

He is looking more like the main antagonists of his favorite anime he watched in the past.

Where the protagonist is half human and half white wolf Tokai and he uses a sword that has unimaginable power in the testing*.

The main antagonists desired the Shikon no Something, a jewel that would be able to grant him near-invincibility should he acquire all the pieces of it.

He desired the jewel to purge his half-human self from his body, and enhance his strength even further.

Close to the end of the story, The main antagonists gained all Shikon Jewel's shards and made the Shikon no something whole again which resulted in the main antagonists fully transforming themselves into a spider yōkai shortly before his defeat and death by the half-wolf yokai and half-human protagonists hands.

Jomel used to hate the main antagonist's guts but ended up having some degree of sympathy towards him.

He's probably the most complicated character in the series; too complicated for his good but it kinda makes sense considering what he is consisted of.

Jomel loves that antagonist's character as a villain because of his character's darkness and complexity.

The Faustian aspect—that "in return, bestow me with your mobility and strength" scene always gives him chills.

The way he knows how to inflict pain on others emotionally is so evil. He's Machiavellian.

He even remembered his quotes;

I have often heard you humans refer to this as fate or destiny. Only the weak utter such nonsense. It is different for the truly powerful: they create this so-called "destiny" with their own hands.

It was revealed near the end of the series that the antagonists had been a pawn of the Demon of the Shikon no something all along, which manipulated him to assure the Jewel continued existence.

in a way, the Shikon jewel acts similarly to the one ring in lotr - a mind with an agenda of its own but subtle enough to never truly Be a concrete presence. just a lot of concentrated, tainted magic.

The only difference is that Jomel is wearing western clothes compared to the antagonists that always wear a yukata.

It's more or less the same.

Well, it satisfies him a lot about his looks now.

At least he is more confident in his looks.
