Chapter 126 - Gabunan Asuwang

Away from jomel...

"Is that guy that important that we must intervene so he could survive..?" A demi-human who has a face of a human but the lower body of that a dog, standing in two furry legs asked.

On his back is a black wolf like an animal, they are using concealment even though they are far away.

The warning is that their target of protection had extremely powerful senses that even if they hide, they would be sensed by him.

A human like a figure but if closely but if you smell him, you would recognize him as a human nodded.

Lycanthrope.

Human but the back is a wolf and eyes like a wolf more dangerous looking than of that demi-human he is currently with.

He was in a shadow and explained why...

The demi-human for a long time was so shocked, that the human they are going to share was incredibly rare.

A fourth holder!

A fourth holder can pass their fourth talent in the next generations, and they are the only ones who can do that.

Not even their descendant.

Fourth holders are those extremely lucky beings who got a fourth hidden talent because some extremely strong Legendary Soul-Beast sacrificed their life for the benefit of the lucky Tamer.

Plus, a tamer can only be given by this extremely strong legendary Soul-Beasts some hidden talent as long as they are in a level of 35 and lower.

That's why becoming a fourth talent holder is so rare that even in one 35 billion population of every intelligent race only one can be seen.

Their descendants usually have stronger bodies than normal beings and they will be very close to powerful Soul-Beasts so taming would be much easier.

There's a lot of benefit of becoming a descendant of every fourth holder.

Like they don't have to transform to a Conat form to use the fourth talent.

"Damn..! That guy..! Tough luck..!" The demi-human is pissed off, he cursed jomel for having luck like that.

"You got that right, Tough luck we are all jealous CAHAHHA!.." The lycanthrope replied heartily.

"Haha let's just do what we came here to do haha..." The demi-human is just an easy-going wolf, he already accepted fate.

They will be trained anyway, plus they will be given some Stone-Soul Galaxy as long as they do their job properly.

...

...

...

THUD!!

The head and the body were thrown in front of Jomel.

When those things landed on the ground, the giant crow also landed on the ground at the same time they landed.

Jomels feet are bleeding, he is kneeling/sitting with his panic look while holding his two swords like he is in very deep pain.

When he looked at the corpse he can see that they are familiar to him, the first one is the guy who gave him the merectric who still had his whole body intact.

But his life was gone.

The other one is that head of the grimo cla warrior Jason, Jomel thought that this guy is defeated even though he is on a completely different level than the majority who entered here.

Jomel scanned the enemy...

Gabunan asuwang.

A creature of darkness, they are so evil that their transformations are all black.

They are for short one of the strongest asuwangs out there.

Aswang is scary enough, but the black-skinned, white-haired Gabunan is said to be the oldest, strongest, and most cunning of them all.

Unlike the standard aswang, they don't need to wait until nightfall to attack their victims because they remain strong even in daylight.

They don't have wings in their combat form but can fly and move so swiftly you won't even see them coming.

Unlike a normal asuwang who transforms into a giant dog, Gabunan can transform into a gigantic black crow whenever Gabunan asuwang wanted to.

Some are so sadistic that they don't kill their victims on the spot—choosing to kidnap them and keep them, prisoner, while leaving a "copy" (from a banana trunk or bundle of twigs) in their place.

The copy eventually gets sick and dies, and that's the only time the Gabunan slaughters and devours the real victim.

They are masters of illusions and concealment, their strongest points in every combat are assassinations and environmental manipulation without the victim/enemy knowing what was going on.

Jomel couldn't help but feel happy he is inside, this is luck. This one is an assassin creature and Assasin creatures' nightmare is facing someone who can see through illusions.

He didn't show it on his face, he is still pretending that he is hurt by his fight against the Tikbalang general.

The enemy smiled to him "You are truly a strong opponent, you even killed that fool Dullang that even I won't be so sure that I can defeat..."

The giant crows on the enemy's back danced with joy...

UWWAAAAAKKKK!!

UWWAAAAAKKKK!!

UWWAAAAAKKKK!!

Jomel is curious about the other crows, he wanted to know what kind of creature they are, if they are an asuwang too.

He only knew that asuwangs can only transform into a pig or a dog, so he got curious and scanned them.

His red crimson eyes activated once again.

Awang Gaba

Aswang is an umbrella term for various shape-shifting evil creatures in Filipino folklore, such as vampires, ghouls, witches, viscera suckers, and werebeasts (usually dogs, cats, pigs).

The Aswang is the subject of a wide variety of myths, stories, arts, and films, as it is well-known throughout the Philippines.

Span colonists noted that the Aswang was the most feared among the mythical creatures of the Fili, even in the 16th century.

Although with no specific motive other than harming others, their behavior can be interpreted as an inversion of the traditional Filo's values.

The Aswang is especially popular in Visa, southern parts of Luzo, and parts of Minda, including Capizzi.

Unlike them however the gaps are much weaker than most asuwang, they are weak without a leader but they are extremely strong if they have one.

Their strength is compared to their leader, they synchronized very well to their leader's illusion.

To jomel, based on experience illusionist, zombies and skeletal creatures are all ghosts and a Spirit type of Soul-Beasts but he can only feel that these crows may be ghosts with their empty eye sockets.

Suddenly... without even interacting with jomel, the Gabunan clasped his hand.
