Chapter 113 - The Powerful Centaur Leader, Hekarim

Time passed bit by bit and night finally fell.

On a desolate land in the Southern Barbarian Land, thousands of muscular men with muscular lower bodies were setting up camp on this desolate desert.

These strange-looking creatures were the Centaurs.

The weapons of the Centaurs were mostly halberds. Be it swinging or sweeping, the halberds were very suitable for the fast-paced Centaurs.

In addition, the Centaurs were innately powerful. Coupled with their physical advantages, they were powerful when they attacked.

In the middle of the camp, there was a huge and simple military tent that caught everyone's attention.

There were a few Centaurs in the tent, led by a Centaur who was more than five meters tall. At this moment, he was looking at a messy map.

He was naturally the leader of the Centaurs, Hekarim.

Beside him were two shorter Centaurs holding halberds, guarding him.

"Your Majesty, you have broken through to the Legendary stage!"

"With your strength, we can totally attack the central continent now. Why are we staying in this barren Southern Barbarian Land?"

"Why are you so unwilling to attack the central continent?"

In front of him was a Legendary Centaur. His lower body was covered in wounds of all sizes that interweaved together, making him look more ferocious.

Upon hearing this, Hekarim looked at the Centaur who was asking and said calmly, "Miles, how do you think our Centaur race has the ability to invade the central continent? Aren't you being too confident?"

Miles immediately said, "Your Majesty, with your Epic strength, as well as the strength of our race, I think we can completely take over the central continent!"

"Although there's only a few thousand of us, every one of us is a powerful warrior!"

"Humans and those demi-humans are just a bunch of trash! How can they resist the iron hooves and our absolute strength?"

Miles finished with a look of deep pride on his face, as if he had already seen the future and was proud of the strength of their race.

Hekarim smiled and shook his head slightly. "Miles, don't say that I'm only at the Epic stage now. Even if I'm at the peak of the Epic stage, it's impossible for me to attack the central continent. You think too simply of those humans!"

"Why can humans occupy the central continent for so many years? Their strength is far from what it seems."

"On the surface, humans have very few experts and they are all only at the Legendary stage. However, in fact, there are many hidden experts among humans!"

"According to my father, humans are the most terrifying race. The experts among them are very low-profile and will not appear before a crisis!"

"On the other hand, if we attack any of the ten empires in the central continent, I'm afraid that even if we win, we will still not be a match for the hidden experts of the humans!"

"Lastly, and most importantly, we are limited in manpower. We only have thousands of us and there are billions of humans. Do you think we can deal with billions of humans with just our thousands?" Hekarim asked in a deep voice.

Miles shook his head slightly and said no more.

"Miles, do you know why I attacked the Dark Elves?" Hekarim asked.

"Isn't it because you took a fancy to Lilias' beauty?" Miles exclaimed.

Hekarim laughed loudly. "Miles, I admit that you are an outstanding warrior of our race, but your mind is too simple."

"Isn't it hilarious if I start a war between races just because I like the beauty of the Queen of the Dark Elves, Lilias?"

"The other demi-humans all think that the Centaur race has strong sexual desires. Although it's a fact, I did not attack the Dark Elf race because of their beauty. This is merely an excuse to attack!"

"When I was very young, I heard from my father that many years ago, the Dark Elves violated a taboo and was expelled by the Elves. However, the Dark Elves has an Underworld Gem on their hand. It is rumored to be formed from a drop of blood of the Goddess of the Underworld. Its effect is to change the attributes to the underworld attributes!"

"There's a legend among our Centaur race. It's said that thousands of years ago, an expert with the same name as me appeared in the Centaur race. He was also called Hekarim. That expert was called an Underworld Knight.Although he is only an Epic expert, he has the strength to face a Saint Class expert without being defeated. On the other hand, he obtained an Underworld Gem by chance. After he swallowed it, he obtained the power of the underworld and became an Underworld Knight!"

"If I can also obtain the Underworld Gem of the Dark Elves, then it's extremely likely that I will become an Underworld Knight. If that happens, we will first conquer the Southern Barbaric Land, then slowly go against the central continent. Only then will we have a chance to completely occupy the central continent. Understand?"

Hekarim then looked deeply at Miles, who nodded quickly.

"I understand."

Hekarim smiled. "Oh yes, have those double-headed barbarians agreed to submit to us?"

"No, they haven't agreed yet. I've already given them a final deadline. If they don't reply to me in three days, I'll lead my people to trample their tribe!" Miles said in a low voice.

"Then I leave this matter to you!"

"If they don't submit, they will be exterminated!"

"The Southern Barbarian Land can only have one voice. That is my voice," Hekarim shouted with a cold expression.

"Alright, you can leave first!" Hekarim waved his hand and Miles immediately left respectfully.

Not long after Miles left, he walked back into the tent.

"King, the Dark Elves, under Lilias' lead, has ambushed us!"

"Many of our people have been killed by them!" Miles looked at Hekarim and said in a low voice.

Hekarim's eyes flashed coldly at that.

"If not for the fact that the Dark Elves are natural assassins, we might have killed them long ago! Since these Dark Elves want to play it hard, there's no need to stand on ceremony!"

"We'll exterminate the Dark Elves tonight, but we have to keep Lilias alive. We have to at least learn the whereabouts of the Underworld Gem from her," Hekarim said solemnly.

Then, he walked to the corner of the tent, pulled out a dark green halberd from the ground, and walked out of the tent.

He saw the flames rising from the tents in the distance and the roars of his clansmen. A cold glint appeared in his eyes.

"Lilias, you have made the wrong decision."

"The price you will pay will be the destruction of the Dark Elves," Hekarim murmured. His voice was filled with killing intent.

As Hekarim walked to the battlefield, Dark Elves would appear out of thin air from time to time in the darkness and assassinate him.

However, these Dark Elves were directly cut into two by his halberd in front of Hekarim. They were so powerful that ordinary Dark Elves could not resist.

"Centaur Race, listen up. After tonight, there will no longer be any Dark Elves in the Southern Barbarian Land. Kill!" Hekarim held the halberd high in his right hand and roared angrily. His four hooves began to gallop and a visible whirlwind surrounded his body, as he started to pick up in speed.

The Dark Elves who blocked his path were all killed by his halberd.
