I woke up feeling groggy and I looked to see Axel still fast asleep. He was breathing lightly. I shifted a bit as I thought about last night. What did he mean by saying he doesn't share what belongs to him?
I feel a hand raking through my hair, "Did you sleep well?" he asks.
"I did" I respond awkwardly to Axel. He just smiles at me and pulls me into his arms. I don't resist and I stay there. His phone rings and he groans as he picks it up. He lets me go and he gets up.
I was a bit relieved that Axel had given me the week off so I could recover and rest more. I slept and ate most of the day. Night time came and Axel came back, his mood had changed a bit. He seemed nicer, which was weird.
He was asking me a lot of questions, what my favorite color was, what I did for fun and what food I loved the most, what my favorite song was. Which was unlike him but I preferred this Axel to asshole Axel.
The next morning I woke up late and I showered and ate breakfast, I was a bit upset that I had missed Axel. A knock came through the door. "Come in" I answered. Two guards came in with books.
"Compliments from sir" as the one said. I was so grateful, "Thank you" I responded to them. I couldn't believe that Axel had bought me novels, how sweet of him, he had remembered what I liked.
I quickly started scanning through the books and I found some of my favorite authors and I realized that I had some catching up to do.I went to the kitchen and I asked for some snacks. I started with book that intrigued me the most.
I sat by the bed and I started reading, I got lost in the book. "I see you are enjoying your books" I turned to Axel's voice. I had been reading for so long that I didn't notice when he walked in. I ran up to him and I hugged him. It took him back by surprise I could tell.
I leaned back and his eyes met mine, we were staring at each other for too long and I broke the eye contact as I started to move away. He grabbed me back in place, and he lowered his lips on to mine. I was shocked and it took me a second to register.
I fluttered my eyes closed as this was my first real proper kiss. Axel's lips were very gentle, and so warm. I didn't know what the hell I was doing but I went along with it. I felt Axel's arm tighten around my waist as he pulled me closer.
I must admit this felt very nice, I felt butterflies in my stomach. I encircled my arms around Axel's neck and I pulled him closer to me.
Axel swiftly carried me to the bed and my back landed on it, with my legs around his torso. It felt really nice until he broke the contact "Lets sleep" with that he covered us both with the blanket. I was puzzled that he hadn't taken it further than that. I closed my eyes and slept.
I woke up in the afternoon again by myself. I finished showering and then I ate my food. When it was about 20:05 pm, it was weirdly silent. I opened the door and the guards weren't there which are usually guarding the door.
I walk down the corridor, in fear that something might have happened. That we might be under attack again, and Axel is not here nor London. I walked cautiously and slowly. I heard noises and I headed downstairs towards the sounds.
There was a door that was open ajar. I crept in slowly I hid behind boxes, and I peeked through. I saw the guards in a semi circle. I was wondering what's going on? Then I saw London and next to him was Axel.
It was dark with a luminescent light, I looked where all the guards were facing and to my horror.
I then saw a man sitting on a chair and it appeared that they were torturing him, he was bloodied and I was shaking. I covered my mouth with my hand and the tears were flowing. I looked at Axel and London who seemed to be on a high from torturing him.
Axel went up to the man "So you won't speak" he landed him a few more blows which made me sick. I couldn't recognize the Axel from last night. He was gone, he was replaced by some monster.
I started to feel sick, and I was shaking at the sight of blood and then
at the man who had just died.
I didn't know what had happened, it was as if I couldn't control my body. I hurled out a blood curling scream. Everyone turned to me and I saw Axel stepping forward "Tali" before he could finish my name, I had gotten up and I was sprinting for my life. I had to get out of here one way or another.
"Talia wait" but I ran as fast as my feet could carry me. I didn't look back, even though I was heaving.
