55 Destroying a Company 3

The first impression of Europe that Liz got was that of cold.

Although she had lived in New York all her life and had thought that she was used to a cold atmosphere, this was something that was on another level.

It was supposed to be summer, but the temperature was easily below 10°, leading her to shiver and cover herself in order to conserve whatever warmth she had.

"Ma'am."

They had just gotten off the plane, and this was the greeting given by one of the guards who was waiting for them on the tarmac.

There was a convoy of three cars, with the middle being a limousine just like the one she had gotten off of in New York.

From the first car, the guard took out two fur coats before handing one to Liz.

Taking it immediately and putting it on, Liz smiled and closed her eyes as she felt the cold going away.

The fur felt so soft to touch, making Liz wonder what it was made of.

The CEO did the same, and both of them got on the limousine before being driven away.

"Where are we?", she asked, looking out of the window to see a beautiful scenery of endless snow-capped mountains.

"150 km south of London. We will be operating out of a base we have here."

Nodding, Liz took out the tablet again and continued making the report that she had worked hard on for the past eight hours.

They had had lunch on the plane, and she hadn't been surprised to find out that there was actually a chef along with the hairdressers that she had seen before.

It had been a gourmet lunch, which meant small portions, but Liz didn't complain and just had the French cuisine which had tasted quite good.

Her entire mind had been on the report of the gameplan to take down Sylvex, so food had actually become secondary in that instant.

An hour, Liz looked up to see that they had reached some sort of basement.

There were a lot of cars parked here, making her think that they were probably in some sort of office. After all, the idea was to move discreetly even though it must have become clear to the enemy that Happle was on the warpath.

After getting into the lift along with the CEO, Liz assembled everything in her mind and prepared to give the report that she had been tasked to make.

Yet, as the elevator doors opened, her jaw dropped on seeing the sight in front of her.

Rows and rows of slot machines were the first things that entered her vision, in front of which there sat multiple people all testing their luck and hoping to win big.

In a section close by, there were many tables with all the classic games such as Roulette, Poker, et cetera.

They had actually come… To a casino?!

As the raucous sounds washed over her and made her realize that she was not dreaming, Liz stepped out and saw that the CEO had paused.

Following his gaze, she noticed that it was fixed on a woman who was walking towards them.

She was wearing a glittering maroon gown, with her perfect figure showcased by the tight fit of the dress. Her features were almost angelic, but it wasn't her beauty which made Liz pause like Will and stare.

Instead, it was the fact that she looked like a female copy of the CEO.

They had the same angular nose, and there were even similarities in the jawline. Even the quiet confidence that was present in the CEO was reflected in her, making Liz wonder just who this woman was.

Her hair was red, and it fell to the small of her back making Liz jealous of the sheer length and volume it had. Yet, the next moment, as if the woman had noticed her gaze, she glanced towards Liz and gave a dazzling smile.

Reaching them, she did something unexpected that made Liz freeze in her place.

Without a pause, the woman directly hugged Liz and said in her ear, "So you are the one who my brother fell for?"

These words made her feel more shock than everything else that had happened today, and her mind once went blank as she turned to the CEO with wide-open eyes.

He had… fallen for her?
