79 Bullies 1

"Ya…something happened."

"SIS! I BEAT UP THE BULLIES! AND LUKE BEAT UP THEIR PARENTS!"

"DEREK!!! IS THAT BLOOD?! LUCAS GERRYMANDER, WHAT DID YOU DO?! |Cough|(whispering)Lucas Gerrymander, what did you do??"

She had been gone just for two days, but these troublemakers had clearly been up to something.

In the screen of the tablet, she could clearly see Luke with a black eye and Derek with a small cut on her forehead.

Although the cut was less than a finger's width, she couldn't help but scream like so, as the protective instinct she had for her little brother was truly on another level.

"Derek, what the hell do you mean you beat up the bullies? Didn't I tell you to resolve it peacefully? And Luke, you beat up parents? I put you in charge, and you end up doing this?!"

Still whispering furiously into the tablet, Liz didn't notice that the CEO's ears were perked up, listening to everything she was saying.

Being scolded by her, both Luke and Derek looked down, as if they weren't the culprits.

"Both of you are acting like children! Just you wait till I get there. I'm gonna spank both of you!"

Even as Luke looked up with raised eyebrows at her weird statement, Liz shut off the connection.

At that moment, they really had looked like two kids who had been caught red-handed, hence, Liz had thought that it was appropriate to speak like so.

However, as she turned back to the CEO, she saw him suddenly look to the side, as if he hadn't been eavesdropping.

Indeed, Will had been listening to everything, but he simply didn't understand why he had lost his cool when she had turned around.

As a top business executive, his acting was top notch, but just now, he had been like a school kid who was caught in the act.

Clearing his throat, he simply served himself some food and started to eat without looking up.

Meanwhile, Liz, who couldn't comprehend why all the men around her were suddenly turning into children, walked to her seat and sat down while looking at the CEO who was busily eating.

'Can you blame him? You were shouting, and maybe he thinks he has a rival…'

'Rival? What? Shut up.'

Having no mood to deal with the annoying voice in her head, Liz decided to speak out and explain.

It did have a point; she really had raised her voice without meaning to, and she hadn't even gone very far due to the shock of seeing her brother and best friend like that.

Besides, that change in the CEO was still in her mind, and this fact gave her a pleasant feeling that she couldn't ignore.

"Sorry, it seems that my best friend and little brother have gotten into a tussle due to some bullies in his school. I was planning on shifting his school anyway, so this should be a great opportunity."

Saying so and sighing, Liz served herself some sausages before starting to eat.

She hadn't had dinner, so her appetite only grew as food started to enter her stomach.

As for the CEO who had looked up on hearing her speak, he thought for a moment before asking, "Can I ask why you wanted to shift his school?"

It was sort of a personal question, but Liz just answered as she was thinking about this anyway.

"He has been bullied ever since he entered that school because he looks much younger than his age. He is much cuter than others his age too, so I'm happy about it, but it makes him a target for bullying. He also doesn't usually retort, so I don't know what Luke did to make him get into a fight. The fight would reflect badly on his career, and what if he gets into more of them? Damn, what was my mother doing-"

After blabbering continuously like she usually did when she was worried, Liz finally realized who she was speaking to.

"I'm sorry, I have a habit of going on and on when I'm worried…"

In response, the CEO only raised his hand and gave a response which surprised her.

"It's quite all right. But, you forget that the bullying might repeat even if he changes school. Do you mind if I talk to him? I wouldn't normally offer, but I have some…experience with bullies."
